For me, personally, I believe I found out the Civet in Glaysa doesn't go well with my chemistry. My chemistry is fine with musk, but Lust was little weird on me also and vanished quickly. I'd at least try an imp of Lillith unless you know for sure your skin does not do well with musk.

I second the Jack suggestion. I've never tried Samhain. I used to wear a Fall scent by DSH Essense Oils called Halloween and it was Autumny, warm and spicy.

Before Beth got Crazy Busy, she told me she was exploring this theory that a person's moon sign has a lot to do with the scents they like. Due to this comment, I ordered Sagittarius. my moon sign, Libra (my sun sign), Virgo (my rising sign), as well as Venus, Jupiter and Mercury (I think those are the correct planets). Anyway, I think her theory may be pretty true, cuz I LOVE Sagittarius as much as I like Libra and Venus!!! Also, Sagittarius is a bit spicy and deep, but light enough to wear in the warmer weather which is perfect for me. Since I'm so much like my astrolgoical and planetary scents, I want to explore the Tarots next. Ouch to the wallet again.

I would try Lillith. I think it is similar but BETTER!

I have 2 orders that CC-Now states shipped 4/29 and 4/30. Is this now accurate and has anyone been getting USPS shipping confirmation emails? I don't want to get excited prematurely.

My skin does the same thing with cinnamon oils, but I love wearing them. I just kept using them and the redness and burning have been becoming less and less worse over time. I'm hoping eventually, I'll get used to them, but as suggested above, there is the carrier oil option.

How do you know what Tarot card relates to your astrological info? I second the Venus suggestion.........it's gorgeous. I am a sun in Libra, Virgo rising and Sagittarius moon. I just ordered 5 mls of Venus, Virgo, Sagittarius, Jupiter and Mercury after trying the imps. I LOVE Venus. It is very goddess like!

My orders are from 3/26/04, 4/5/04, 4/12//04 and 4/18/04. Maybe they are combining them cuz they all say shipped over the last couple days, but no USPS shipping email yet.

Does that mean that we can order them on May 1st, but just not get them for 2 weeks? I wish there was something I could do to help with the money. I have a little chunk saved for the update and would be more than happy to front you the money..........but I doubt a few hundred would help. I know of a company who makes a Chai tea scent. It's called Ceylon. I don't want to post the name of the company on here, cuz I don't think it would be right, but if you really want to know, you can PM me. I can't think any of Beth's to recommend. However, I use Lush's Chai shower gel and I love it. It's a love or hate scent though. It's great for sore muscles after a hard workout!!

I just got a sample of this and tested it on my wrist and loved it. I immediately ordered, but I must say, You can't really get the entire effect until you wear it. I think I may have put a little too much on (I can smell it wafting up - and that is unusual given I am usually cold). This reminds me sooooo much of Snake Oil and a little of O. If you sniff this from the bottle, it is nothing extraordinary, but the magic happens when it interacts with your body chemistry..........just like snake oil on me, this morphs into a golden aura of vanilla sugared dreams!!! It is sweet and I like that. I can't really detect anything other than the amber and vanilla, but then my nose is not really familiar with the other notes. It is a perfectly blended scent. I can't believe this states it is a man scent. What is it with me and men's blends. I love all of them. I'm starting to get a bit of a complex, as I'm a Libra and love "girly" scents also. I happen to love Libra and Venus! Maybe it's my rising sign, Virgo that makes me love all of the deep, woody, masculine scents. I wouldn't consider myself masculine and I don't think I smell masculine wearing this at all!!

Maybe I should have been more specific. Does Jolly Roger have a picture of a skull rather than a label that says Jolly Roger ...on the 5 ml bottle, not the imps ear?

I LOVE Harlot and every BPAL with cinnamon....some of my favs.. Faustus (MMMMM), Sin, Harlot, Wrath, Eclipse (MMMMM), Umbra, 3 Witches, All Night Long, Chimera (MMMMMM). I think that's all I have. If there are any more out there, I'd love to try them. (have inferno on order) EDA - wore Old Port Au Prince today and someone walked in and said I smelled like cinnamon............who would have thought??

Okay everyone....for those of you who frequent the board, you know I've been slacking in my review writing phase. I know, smack me up side the head!!! I have over 80 bottles of this stuff...the least I could do is reveiw them. In my defense, I recently got a new job after collecting unemployment for 5 months and let's just say....quite an adjusment!!! Now to get to the point. Venus rocked my socks off (Beth - can you say GALLON size). I am a Libra, Moon in Sagittarius and Virgo rising (born 10/7). I was totally blown away by Venus. I immediately ordered it. I am wearing my sample this morning and I tell ya....I must be a TRUE Venus child. I'm lovin' the hell out of this shit. I immediately was surrounded with a gorgeous cloud of beautifullness!!! It prompted me to proceed to pick out my diamond necklace (which I never wear) and do my eyes are smoky bluish/purple with pink lips and cheeks. Makes me feel sexy (which is rare with my low self esteem). I guess this is a good way to feel since I have to give my deposition today in my car accident personal injury case!!! Anyway, the others have described it perfectly.....but to me, it is more flowing, pink and aquatic......but then it is pink, pink, pink with green undertone. I'm REALLY loving this which surprised me a bit since I tend to usually go for the deeper resin scents and sandalwood/patchouli. It is 70 degrees here today, so it prompted me to wear this. I must say....it is by no means a weak fragrance and that is a GOOD thing. This goes right up there with Harlot and Bordello for me. One of my new top fav's!!!! Beth, you rock girl!!!

Hopefully Beth and Co. will make more of the LE's since their business has OBVIOUSLY picked up tremendously.

Old Sybaris ..........definitely and The Raven, as well as Le Serpent Qui Danse would go lovely. ..........maybe even Ultraviolet. The top note of Ultraviolet is a little bitter, but the drydown is quite lovely.

I use a lot of oil. I have very dry skin, so it really absorbs on me. I also put some in my lotion and in my fragrance free soap, as well as make bath salts with them......thus they go fast, especially if I like them.
