  1. I have to say I'm truly shocked. I almost didn't buy the Spanish Moss SN because I didn't think I was into green earthy scents. This scent smells sweet and clean to me. It definitely reminds me of perfumes from my mother's bathroom drawer when I was little. There was an instant "Oh, so this is what that smell is". I can kind of detect a slight bitter note like citrus. It reminds me of being in the low country in South Carolina minus the fishy ocean smell, almost in the aquatic category. Beautiful, I will definitely wear this again.

  2. In the imp Athens smells like honey and wine. Wet on my skin it has a spiced vinegar/wine smell to it until the floral honey really starts coming forward. The honey phase reminds me of some floral honey candy I got at a monastery in Italy. The dark myrrh is in the forefront after it dries down. It brings back really good memories for me. This is the first scent for me that really connects with imagery in my head of what I imagine an ancient Athens would be like. I adore this scent the whole way through. It has a decent throw and a little seems to go a long way so I'm not constantly bringing my wrist to my nose. Definitely going on my bottle list.

  3. On paper this blend looks great. I like fruit, vanilla, amber, and while sandalwood isn't a favorite it's not a death note either. It smells somewhat astringent in the imp like that cough syrupy smell but not overpowering. On my skin straight up sandalwood with maybe a little baby powder and vanilla in the background. Sweet, but not cloying. Not bad, but not great for me either.

  4. This is only the second Lunacy I've tried and I'm really happy I took the chance. This is beautiful and will probably end up being my most used fall scent. It smells a bit on the perfumey cologney side in the bottle but those sharp notes end when it hits the skin.

Dry: the spice and fruit notes really take over the show. The plum, grapes and cherries give it a sweet pleasant smell. The clove, fennel, and thyme give it that distinct autumn spice feel. Spiced cider with a touch of dried woods and leaves hits the nail right on the head to me. It did not smelly overly smoky to me, just a bit woodsy.

  5. Imp

In the imp it smells like a sweet cool refreshing floral

    Wet

I get the cherry blossom and Asian pear notes strongly. It's very sweet and juicy right off.

    Dry

It's still mostly cherry blossom and pear but it's being mellowed out and smoothed by the sandalwood

    After a couple of hours

The floral honey has come to the front with lingering hints of the sandalwood and fruit.

A great scent all in all. I love the floral honey at the end.

  6. This stayed true to the bottle scent on my skin. The most prominent note was the soil smell. Most soil scents dissipate on my skin within the hour on me but this one stuck around. I also got sweetness in the scent nothing particularly alcoholic though. I read it as fruit in the cherry berry grape range. Not unpleasant but I would really only wear it for the novelty factor.

  7. I just got an imp of this earlier in June and was sorry to see it on the list of newly discontinued scents. I got the distinct impression of florals and water opening the imp. My first try of it left me smelling like sunscreen and caramel. I was in love. The smell of sunscreen always screams summer to me.

I went to put it on for the second time today to fit the beautiful summer day. It stayed on my skin longer and stronger this time. Unfortunately the sunscreen had started to smell like plastic to me. Its kind of like a lotion smell for me now. I guess I don't have to be sorry about not being able to get a bottle of it now, but it was really nice when I first got it. I'll try it again later to see if I can get that original smell back. Hopefully I just contaminated it this time with hand soap or something.

  8. In Imp:

    Green citrus slightly sweet astringent

    Dry:

Surprisingly likable considering I tend not to like cologne. I can kind of sense the mellowing effect of the vanilla and a slightly crisp note of green and citrus in the background, but the juniper berries leave the biggest impression on me. I love the smell of basil leaves, but I couldn't discern a definite basil scent. I also have no clue what ambergris smells like. I wouldn't want a bottle, but could definitely see myself wearing this from time to time, maybe when I want to pretend to be my own boyfriend or something like that.

    Less than an hour later:

    *poof* all gone
