    Thanatopsis

Thanatopsis was a Frimp I received in my first order from BPAL. I checked the description before trying it and was quite excited because of the Juniper note. I couldn't make out anything particular in the bottle, just a nice clean scent. Then when I put it on, for one glorious minute it was a beautiful strong pine with a hint of Juniper to stop it from smelling completely like disinfectant (it should be noted, I like disinfectant but not necessarily smelling like it). After about sixty seconds it all turned to musk. Just musk, a sweet musk like those little pink lollies I got as a child. This was the most feminine scent out of all the ones I've tried so far, which in conjunction with the reviews above feeling it is more of a masculine scent, leads me to believe it is actually gender neutral. And all though it wasn't bad, was sort of nice even, it is definitely not for me. Both my mother and I are very sensitive to perfumes and cheap or overpowering scents give us headaches. Because of this, she only wears musk scents and I must say I don't really want to smell like my mother (though it should be noted that whilst I was wearing this my father commented on how nice and feminine I smelled). I hope I can give it to someone who'll enjoy it more than I.

    Wrath

Wrath came in my first ever order from BPAL. It was chosen for me by my sister as a surprise scent, meaning I didn't pick it for myself, but I liked the description nonetheless. Most people mention here that Wrath smells like 'Red Hots' or 'Cinnamon Candy'. I haven't had either of these, and that could partly explain the different associations I drew from it. For me, when I opened the bottle Wrath smelled like frangipani. A really, really sickly sweet frangipani scent. I found it overpowering and not at all alluring, but as every other scent I had tried so far changed dramatically once on me, I decided to give it a try. Wouldn't you know it, this was the only scent that didn't morph. It just stayed a cloyingly sweet miasma until I couldn't take it and washed it off. To be fair I decided to try it once more before putting it aside for good. The second time it smelled the same, but wasn't as overpowering so I kept it on for several hours and at the end there was a faint hint of spice under the sweetness. Suffice to say, this is definitely not for me. I didn't have much luck with this batch of imps, but I have hope things will work out better next time.
