  1. The essence of magickal enigmas and long-forgotten esoteric mysteries. Frankincense, rosemary, lavender, neroli, and lemon verbena.

This is lemon pledge on me, sadly.

In the bottle it's lovely. Bright and herbal with just a hint of lemon. A very cheerful scent/

  2. I thought I had reviewed this, but I guess not.

    This is my OMG scent.

In the bottle: Sharp and crystalline lime. This is like frozen limes, followed by roses, lily, and gardenia, and fresh cut spring time grass.

On the skin: This mellows down after a few minutes and settles into a a "deeper" white floral scent (for lack of a better description. The lime warms up and get just a tiny bit less sharp complimenting the florals beautifully.

In five minutes it's gone. Such a damn shame.

  3. Sigh...oh Dorian! I wanted you to love me but I knew wasn't meant to be so....

In the imp, on, and dry down were the same for this one.

Cream, sugar, vanilla. Three notes I can't stand. I was really hoping the tea would pull through, but it didn't. :P

  4. Industrial Cleaner! Sharp and artificial smelling (as much as something from Beth could be), I haven't been able to bring myself to wear it yet other than the bit that stayed on my fingers from sniffing.

Right it's sitting on my desk taunting me. Once the weather cools off a bit, I'll slather. Lemon anything+heat equals a smelly ferret.

  5. This blend starts out as OMG wood! But I had it on good authority that this would be a good blend for me so I stuck it out.

It took about an hour for it to mellow out, but when it did...ooo baby! this is a beautiful blend. Very woody, with a pungent backround of what I can only guess is the labdanum. Oddly enough I could not discern any rose notes.

This is a warm, comfortable scent.

  6. This reminds me of standing in a rose garden protected from the vast sea by a crooked fence with white peeling paint.

The weather is cloudy and damp, and I am standing there in a long sweater staring into the sea.

This is a beautiful, yet lonely scent. May lead to daydreams...

  7. Mmmmm Corazon!

    I can't believe I haven't reviewed this scent yet.

Warm pulsating blood, slightly sweet at the beginning with a peppery tang at the end.

    Love me some Corazon!

  8. What a fantastic blend! I haven't been able to give a glowing review like this since Twenty One!

Dark Red Delicious apple (not "apple" FO but honest to god real apple, tart and sweet with a underlying sinister notes of opium, and dark resins.

I've worn this everyday since I got it!

  9. I put half of one of these beauties in the tub today when I felt a migraine coming on.

It did the trick. For the first time ever I was able to stave of a migraine without the aid of prescription medication. Hooray for Oof!

This Fizzyboom doesn't have much of a scent before you pop it into the tub, but once you do you Rosemary fills the air. It's delicious. I really couldn't pick out any other notes, but the boquet was a clean and herbal.

Like the other bath fizzies from BPAL this one is has lots of slip in the tub, but doesn't leave you feeling greasy (I have oily skin).

On the ferret scale of yummy 10/10

  10. This was my first experience with a bath bomb of any type, and it was fabulous!

In the package: Ginger and Citrus, nice but not over whelming.

In the tub: Whoa baby moisture city! The ginger and citrus note expand and become very invigorating, but not in your face. I was able to enjoy the scents without being over whelmed by them.

When these come back out I will be stocking up.

  11. I'm not the biggest fan of tea rose because of the powder potential, but I thought "hey, I'll give it a shot".

This is the tea rose that I have been hoping for; sharp and bright with out being right in your face this is lovely. No old lady scent here!

Dry: A feel a sharp and dry backnote, something floral.

All in all a very well put together blend.

Due the fact that I just don't think I'll wear this that often it gets a 7/10 on the ferret scale of goodness.

  12. I can't believe I haven't reviewed this!

This is one of the roses from 2,5,7 kissed by a touch of leather. I really like this blend.

The leather seems to ground the rose so it doesn't amp itself into madness. Delicious I tell you!

  13. This blend is facinating. I sniffed it before reading the description so as not to have preconcieved notions.

First thoughts, herbal and sharp I know there is vetivert in this, warm wood, and something sweet.

On: I really like it! This is walking through a redwood forest when the weather is warm enough to warrant the soft sea breeze that wafts across you.

10/10 On the ferrety scale of goodness.

  14. Delicious.

Thick, dark and syrupy this blend is gorgeous!!!!

Deep black hungry patchouli tempered by sensuous red musk and sweet orange blossoms (ylang ylang always goes orange blossoms on me, which I'm ok with).

This blend is far better aged, but still lovely in it's youth.

    10/10

  15. Sharp and herbal.

While I won't be wearing this every day, I think it will be very helpful in dealing with migraine headaches and concentration in general.

    I really like it.

  16. At first blech; plastic almost. I let it sit for a moment and then I'm whisked away into moist black dirt, warm, dry woods, patchouli, and a watery floral note (cypress?).

I'm really digging this one. I feel like I'm in turn of the century New Orleans when I'm wearing this.

  17. I just spilled an imp of this on me, so now is the time to review it.

In the imp: Big Golden AMBER!!!, lots of warm spices.

On: Celestial Seasonings Bengal Tea, lots of warm and sunny amber, clove, cardamom, saffron, yellow spices. This is what I picture a lazy Sahara sunset to be.

    Pretty, but not for me.

  18. The essence of nobility, brutality and true Will made flesh and propelled through the eons by an ever-burning hatred: black patchouli, neroli, tonka, cinnamon, bitter clove, leather, black musk, coffin wood and fiery ginger.

This is an incredibly manly scent. Notes of dark wood, resin, tobacco, spices galore!

It is the same on the skin as it is is the bottle. A layered and unique scent, this one is just too manly for me.
