Oh. my. god. this is a resin lovers wet dream. In the imp: Dark fruit, champaca, dark wet resins On the skin: This is so gorgeous! It blossoms into a dark and complex blend of incense and spices with a hint a dark sweetness. I need to get me a bottle of this.

    Persephone

I have to be honest. This is vile; both on me and in the imp. I love both Rose and Pomegranate, but this smells like burning asphalt on me. It's really terrible. I really wanted juicy, floral goodness.
  3. The Perfumed Ferret

    Ulalume

In the imp: Dried autumn leaves, rain drops, and wet dirt. Very clean and pretty. On: Dirt and dried leaves; not very attractive on me. No changes after 15 minutes, just stale dirt. It invokes a sad feeling. I could imagine this being the smell of someone looking back as they left forever.

    Al-Shairan

This is good stuff. Cloves, cassia, dusty spices, a hint of dried orange (reminds me of bengal), sadly no peach. Very warm and familiar. A nice scent none-the-less. It's something I would wear while rifling though old books.

    Twenty-One

Oh my god Beth, beth oh my god. This is heaven in a bottle! I don't like gin martini's but damnit a person can learn to. This is aquatic, ozone, grapefruit, and juniper. Seriously, it's all I can do to keep from licking my arm.

    Mag Mell

In the Imp: Golden amber, heliotrope, a hint of ginger. It's like happy sunshine walked up and slapped you in the face. This is seriously cheerful. On: I'm in Hawaii! Ginger, soft grass, pale flowers, amber, warm winds. Dry Down: Sadly this disappeared on me in about 20 minutes. Verdict: 4/5 on the ferret scale of yumminess
  7. The Perfumed Ferret

    Forbidden Fruit

In the imp: Sweet and powdery like a freshly opened package of smarties. Very fruity and strong floral. On: Powdery candy big time, reminds me of those candy necklaces that I would eat as a kid, that left sticky marks around my neck. Dry Down: I can smell the a bright floral note now with a touch of powder in the backround.

    Glasya

This is straight powder on me. I'm going to re-test it after "that time of the month" is over and see if I have a different reaction. In the bottle is a thick, dark, fiery scent. I want it to smell like that on me!
  9. The Perfumed Ferret

    Snow-Flakes

Dang it! I was hoping this would be a less powdery Snow White as well, but it just goes talcum on me. There is no change from first application all the way through an hour after, straight powdery blech.

    Lick It Again

This is the reason I love Beth's mint blends. They are as strong after 4 hours and they were at first application. This is sugary peppermint goodness with just a hint of cream. Yummy! This blend is more mellow on me that some of the other mints. Maybe it's the vanilla? It is more creamy and sugary than sharp and biting.

    The Brides of Dracula

At first it's sharp and alien...I can't place any notes only a general floral scent with a sharp undertone. After about 15 minutes it softens into a thick and musky perfume with thick honey and pale floral notes. It eventually softens out into a well rounded floral scent with just a hint of dry woods to balance it out. Nice, but it's too non-descript on me.

    The Bloody Sword

This is what I think of when I think of blood. Warm, thick, metalic, sharp. I can't place notes on this blend but it represents what the things I connect with blood and steel very well. A personal best.
  13. The Perfumed Ferret

    Sacred Whore of Babylon

On: The first notes are geranium, vanilla, red musk? Dry Down: It mellows to a pale incense of musk, vanilla, cinnamon, and honey. Very pretty, but too sweet for me.
  14. The Perfumed Ferret

    Nocturne

This is baby powder, on me. No lovely tuberrose or lilac ever show up. It smells lovely in the bottle. Like the way I imagine a victorian garden might smell.
  15. The Perfumed Ferret

    La Fée Verte

In the bottle: Sharp and green. On: Bitter herbs softened by vanilla and honey. A very unusual blend. Dry Down: In the end this is still pretty bitter, with just a hint of sugared herbs and musk.
  16. The Perfumed Ferret

    Wanda

This one is hard to describe, but I'll give it a try. Leather warm from a days riding, cheap merlot, and a violet sunset. I like it, in that rough buy sexy cowboy kind of way.
  17. The Perfumed Ferret

    Talvikuu

Delicious! This is icy pine mixed with Nuclear Winter minus the sharp bite. I NEED A BIG BOTTLE! SUPER SWOON!! Beth, I think I love you!
  18. The Perfumed Ferret

    Libra

In the bottle: Bitter Apple, Rose and Rose Geranium On: The same but after a few minutes the ylang ylang softens it up. A beautiful blend.
  19. The Perfumed Ferret

    Hungry Ghost Moon 2006

In the bottle: Smoky ginger candy, vanilla, and aloe On: Ginger vanilla candy, sandlewood, and rice wine. This blend is amazing! I never thought that I would be able to wear a sweet blend, but Beth has done it! It just keeps getting better and better.
  20. The Perfumed Ferret

    Spirits of the Dead

Soft, dry, pale woods, small yellow flowers, and lemon pledge. I so wanted this one to work for me!
  21. The Perfumed Ferret

    Night's Pavilion

This blend reminds me of a still night, filled with pale blooms turning their sweet faces to the full moon, who shines in all of her glory as if to say look at my beautiful children! Pale blooms, dusty musk, and a teeny bit of Lily. Sadly this goes powder on me. A truly beautiful blend.
  22. The Perfumed Ferret

    Beatrice

Heady victorian flowers that go powdery. Very delicate and floral, with no green bitterness. Very pretty, but doesn't go well with my skin chemistry.

How to remove scents from your skin

I use alcohol, and sample no more than five things a will call.
  24. The Perfumed Ferret

    O

Oh my! When I first opened the bottle I smelled vanilla and something musky and feral, so I slathered away and was transported to a land of bliss. Coincidently bliss smells like amber, vanilla and honey. 10/10 Well done beth!

    Two Monsters

This is the only scent from the Salon Collection, that made me swoon. I love the white pepper note. I tried this one on at the lab, not having read the description. This is heavy smoke, dark patchouli, murky vetiver, sharp leather, and a teeny bit of spice. It makes me think of an opium den, dark and smoky with a haze of insanity. 10 out of 10 baby! I love it.
