Funny how 'baby powder' seems to be the most universally undesirable scent result of bad chemistry. I hate the smell of baby powder, it seems to be orris/iris that is usually responsible in my case. Lily of the valley kind of does it too, with added dirty nappy and pee. If I have children I'll just use unscented talc on them, I really can't stand the bp smell. Why couldn't it smell of roses or heliotrope or something nice instead? :/

The pill is the very devil in some cases from what I can make out :/ Implant works fine for me. One girl I know is still taking the pill and seems to be ok with it, but some women get violent moodswings and/or the lack of drive. I guess it depends which pill it is and how well the body copes with it, but if it's causing either of these changes I think a new method is advisable Personally I don't want to mess with anything containing estrogens or testosterone (some pills do).

I tried again after a five year break to go on the pill again (it killed my sex drive and made me depressed last time i tried) and it polished off my considerably rampant sex drive into the second blister pack of pills. Its not just the sex drive that went either - it was all the bodily functions that occurred when one is meant to ge tturned on too that went. NO fun at all!! yeah, condoms are no fun, but I'd ratehr those than be dead sexually. Really scary stuff - but really annoying too, wish they didn't do this to me!

 

I have had good responses to Velvet - really 'urrghh' reactions to it!

Hi! I'm new too! I can second the BCP and sex drive thing. I'm gloriously happy with my IUD after years of my body fighting with the pill.

Fae, definitely Fae BF finds it irresistible, I suspect the heliotrope is to blame.

Definitely try Titania, I'm wearing it now and it's a *very* lovely iced pear. I've had at least six or seven compliments on it since yesterday, so it must be more than just my opinion
