  1. Imp: Bitter almond, almost acrid.

On skin: It warmed up considerably and I get a lot of cream and honey while the almond dies down. But that bitter note is still hanging there. Such a shame because it'd be so beautiful without it. The sillage is poor, but it does hang about close to the skin for quite a while. I just had a shower but if I sniff my wrist, I still get wafts of it.

Since I really want to like this, I will give it another go in a couple of weeks to see if the bitter note goes away.

  2. In the imp: Sweet, sweet rose.

On my skin: Still more juicy rose, though I can see this going powdery. For now it's behaving, what I get is mostly rose with a just a ghost of a pomegranate. Decent staying power.

  3. In the imp: The jasmine and orchid is very overwhelming, to the point of almost stinking. I was a bit scared to put it on, truth be told.

On me: I adore it! It became a very sweet, juicy floral, so I guess the plum only came out when it touched my skin. The jasmine is still the most dominant note here, but it's tempered by the other florals. The end result is a sweet, spring scent that makes me keep sniffing at my wrist. Very tempted to add this to the bottle list.

I find it doesn't last very long, though, only about 2 hours. But then again, florals never hang around for long on me. I don't mind having to reapply this, on account of the delightful smell.

    Overall: :smilenod:

  4. 2011:

I am so sad, I really wanted to love this scent. It smelled lovely in the bottle, a bit like Lush Snow Cake but colder, with a hint of white florals. But on my skin it mostly became plastic & almond, yeah I don't know where that came from either  I got no vanilla or sweet notes that people are mentioning. But I'm not ready to give up yet, I'll try again when it's no longer my time of the month.

It has good staying power though, I tried to wash it off because I couldn't handle the plastic smell, but I still get wafts of it even 4 hours after application. Maybe it will fare better on someone with different skin chemistry.

  5. I need some help looking for a sweet and full rose blend, something along the lines of Jo Malone's Rose Red (which is meant to be 7 kinds of roses with a bit of lemon and honeycomb). Through the search tool I think Jezebel might fit the bill (though I note a lot of review says it's heavy on the orange side?), Eve, Persephone and Katrina van Tassel (but this is LE, drat!). But you are all far more savvy than I, so please help steer me in the right direction :D!
