This is my new fave, I'm getting a bottle with my next order. It starts out as strong beautiful cinnamon (not big red gum, but a real natural woodsy cinnamon), and fades to spicy honeysuckle grounded in cinnamon. It is warm, comforting and sexy. I felt very rosy and joyous wearing it. I went to the brewpub with the bf after applying and got smiles from every guy I walked by, and our waitress kept calling me "Sugar" and gave me the eye when my bf's back was turned! This is not a usual night at this brew pub. I'm not familiar with copal and myrrh, and I couldn't make them out, but they blend wonderfully in this case. Yum. Yum.

Disclaimer: first off I AM a viking. Well, practically. In the bottle this smells like forest berries. On my skin this smells like Midsummer, the cool north, sun-baked summer cabins, green fields, breezes down from the mountains. I feel like I should be at a crayfish party wearing a wreath of flowers. It's fresh and clean and sunny. The longer I wear it the more sunny it gets. I never thought about sun having a smell before. I love it. Yum this is a keeper.

A huge bouquet of squished rose petals: Bulgarian rose, Somalian rose, Turkish rose, Damascus rose, red and white rose, tea rose, wine rose, shrub roses, rose, rose, rose… …and just an itty bitty bit of green grass. Another frimp, thanks lab! First off, let me tell you that while I love the scent of blooming roses on a summer breeze I am a very adamantly opposed to it in perfume form. It always ends up dominating and smelling musty/past its prime and cloying on me. BUT, while the rose note in Alice and Eve didn't work for me at all, I really like this one. When I got it as a frimp from the lab I was like "oh no! This is the one with every variety of rose known on the planet." But of course I had to try it out just once. and.. Initially in the bottle and wet it is a very pure, wet rose, the closest to fresh growing roses I have ever encountered. On my wrist as it dries down it changes to a faint sweet fresh rose and green grass smell: Roses in the garden. It's not overpowering and I love it. I can see myself putting it in regular rotation. I recommend anyone who has had a problem with roses as a component try this one out.

I just got this as a frimp from the lab. It smells very peppery and herby, rosemary with pinesap and woods with a touch of basil. It mellows out with the wearing. I don't think I want to smell like this, but I want to try it on the boy because I think it would be good and he would smell like a happy lumberjack. yum.

I am having the same problem with a bottle of Hamadryad I just received from the lab. I understand some components change, but there is no similarity at all between the imp and the bottle. The bottle smells like vaporub. What should I do?

I received this as one of my first "hand me down" imps from an enabler a ways back, and after I gave it a quick sniff, I've never given it a chance. Until now. Sadly, it didn't change much in the wearing. This doesn't work for me. In the bottle this has a tropical drink smell mixed with a drugstore perfume. On, it did this thing, well, the dry-down reminded me of a bathroom with a commercial air freshner where someone who had one two many pina coladas and long island ice teas is spiling their guts. Literally. It is very spring break 1987. Which is so weird. I love tropical scents, jasmine and ginger. Normally jasmine works for me. Huh. Well hopefully I can pass this along to someone who will love it.

Ah. Here's my first review ever: In the bottle: Ooh a rosy liquid. Hello ginger! There is the spicy-sweet smell of ginger, with jasmine floating around it in little circles. I love ginger, I love jasmine, I love. Wet, on my wrist: At first it is sharp ginger, almost snapping-ly so, makes you blink your eyes a bit. This strong ginger only lasts a second and then fades quickly. Then soon after there is the jasmine with the ginger with a fruity sweet echo. Oh yum! Dry: This fades after a few hours into a spicy, subtle jasmin-y vanilla. Very warm-and-fuzzy sexy. Makes me think of curling up with the boy. I don't think this scent is completely work safe. This one is a keeper, I may get a bottle of this.
