Lavender. Smells like my grandmothers linen closet. The lavender goes sour on me after a while, smelling kinda like sweathy socks, lol! If you do like lavender I think you would love this though. Its a bit citrusy, very refreshing and romantic at the same time. Oh lavender I wish you wouldn't hate me so...

Of the ones I've tried I think Mouse's Long and Sad Tale and Dragon's Milk! Do you want recommendations of similar scents? In that case I think you should look for oils including red sandalwood and vanilla/something sweet, as it seems to be the common notes for all of these!

I thought this was gonna be more masculine than it was. I feel some resembelance to Tombstone, a fairly masculine smell that goes absolutley great with my skin. At first I get mainly leather and musk, later the sandalwood puts down the scent for a bit, not making it too strong. I love it! This is also GREAT to layer with Violens.

Fortunatley I don't get much chamimile at all from this, but a lot of soft, musky vanilla and a whiff of citrus. Wow, I love this one! This is also GREAT to layer with Violens.

I agree, I love BPAL's leather notes. Violens is a bit similar to Rogue, on me this is maily leather.

... The scent of black smoke, of crackling flames, and smoldering ashes. It smells like a masculine version of Bon Vivant, with the "sparkling coca cola" smell I get from it - though a bit headach-y. Wery synthetic like gummy bear candy, was so excited I wanted something dark I could try for once... Oh i guess it's only fruity vanilla and smoke that goes for me! As for black smoke I got none at all.

Feel the oak and the other notes like branches from its tree. I get mostly chamomile from it, sadly no rhubarb! I really wanted something like Heroine from this, I am dissapoint! Fig is something I dont' like at all and I can feel it lurking behind the chamomile... what a shame

So good! Can feel the apple , something that smells like vanilla, light and green. The red sandalwood comes out to play later on, and with me this one does not play nice. I've never been a good friend of red sandalwood, it gives a incense-y whiff that often gives me headaches. I get some rose as well, unfortunetley. I tend to amp this and make all smell like cat pee. Thank god the apple is there to save me! Ordered a bottle of this just before they discontinued it

Peppermint and lavender! Bpal's lavender is really good but just not for me. Just needed to sniff it from the bottle to know that. This is not how I want to smell. If you like kinda cold scents, and lavender this is it for you! It's very beautiful (I'm trying not to dislike it) but lavender just gives me flashbacks of those little bags of lavender my grandmother used to make and put in her wardrobe.

It's very fruity and warm, but for me this is like some creamy tropical juice... since I'm not American and haven't grown up with the smell, it's not at all what makes me think about autumn, this feels more like a wierd smelling piña colada... and a very sweet one. I just don't think that pumpkin is for me!

It was far tooo sweet and rosy for me! The lily turns to catpee in a minute and stays that way... Lucky I just got a decant of this and a bottle of Lady Una instead!

Ive ordered Midwinters Eve but I still have 5 more from Frankenstein and Match Girl I want! It seems to be the most popular ones because all the decant spots are taken. Wonder if I dare to buy them all...

I just sniffed Vixen and eurgh,nauseating vetiver ickiness- there's seriously something wrong with me this week...I think it may be the totally wrong time of the month to go on a date by Friday, sigh. Not sure I can trust my nose although Black Pearl is thus far not sickening me or smelling different. Beautiful pic btw. Hehe thank you! If I were you I'd just use some body lotion (or just put some BPAL in a cream) so you'll at least get a faint scent (if you really feel you smell bad... lol )

Oh I'd actually go for something that doesn't smell a lot, something you're comfortable wearing and that makes you feel good. There's a lot of chemistry in relationships, and I've heard that you pick your partner depending on how they smell! I've never worn perfume on my dates, if you wear something they like/dislike it could make them get the wrong feeling about you! Hehe better let them like you for your own scent!

Gorgeous! Black/blueberry smell and a bit flowery. No honey thankfully, wich usually turns sour on me. This is now one of my favs, will sure get a bottle!

Nom! Very fruity, a litte bubbelgum (think it's the strawberry + apple blossom I get it from) and a lot of apple! So happy I didn't get any rose from this, it usually turns to an old lady-like smell on me And no violet whatsoever..! This is heaven! Just bought a bottle the last day

Just wanted to bump here about the new limited OLD MOON This ends tomorrow! I still haven't made up my mind about placing another order or not...

I wanted to try to get my BF into BPAL as well, but I'm not sure what I'm looking for. Hope you can help me! He doesn't really wear perfume, but Ferrari Black is a fragrance I really LOVE on him, the notes are as listed: Top Notes: Bergamot, Lime, Plum, Red Apple Middle Notes: Jasmine, Rose, Cardamom, Cinnamon Base Notes: Ambergris, Musk, Vanilla, Cedar I was pretty surprised when I saw this list of stuff, the only thing I smell from it is mossy woods! The first word that came to mind was "tree trunk!" I did not expect it to have that much fruit and flowers too! So what's making it smell like wood? Is it only the cedar? I think I can smell some cinnamon somewhere too. What makes it smell like a "guy's perfume" and not all girly with the fruits and vanilla stuffed in there? Do you know any BPAL scents that could work similar to this?

So that's what I should be looking for? no one seems to know, lol

I thought I was gonna love this but there is something wrong. It smells a bit citrusy, musky. Maybe it's the opium or sandalwood, I'm not sure. It didn't work for me, all I get is citrusy/fruity smelling cleaner.

Innocence defiled. Sticky pink bubblegum and the thick, sweet scent of orange and cherry lollipops smeared over a breath of heady womanly perfume. BUBBELGUM! IT'S BUBBELGUM! Seriously it's the perfect bubbelgum smell. I love it. This is so not me, since I like darker vanilla/foody scents, but this just turns me over. It makes me wanna dress up in a pink tulle skirt and wear a tiara.

Wiie, it smells so good, freshly cut apples. It's gonna be awesome for spring, I'mm so glad I got this as a frimp, I would never have picked it out myself!

From bottle: I smell spicy wine in the bottle, drying I can feel the tobacco lingering on my skin... then it gets more and more soapy. And then back to red wine and tobacco. Still gets a bit soapy from time to time. So sad, I really wanted to get more chocolate! Drydown: mostly smoke wich i love I have a really hard time telling the notes apart, it gets very potpurri I think it's the honey and balsam that makes it warm, and it also makes me kinda sleepy (really hard to describe) I can only smell chocolate if I get really close to my wrist and that's a real shame!
