    Old Scratch

In the bottle: The lavender and patchouli just hook me by the nose and pull me in on first sniff. Very masculine! On my skin: Both lavender and patchouli are vying for control. Rosewood sticks to the background, and I can just detect the amber trying to mellow things out. I can see myself wearing this; this isn't as overpoweringly masculine like Saint-Germain and Casanova were for me. Commanding without being overbearing, spicy without making my nose itch.

    Blood

In the bottle: Cherry with a darker undercurrent. On my skin: The sweetness of the cherry wavers some before disappearing as the clove and dragon's blood begin to warm up and take over.

    Megaera

In the bottle: Grapefruity plum. I love grapefruit of any sort, so I've been looking forward to trying this one. And for something named after The Jealous One, this really smells like a lot of fun! On my skin: The grapefruit just brightens on application. There isn't much in the way of support from the other notes, it seems, but I really do like it the way it is: bright, shining, and eye-opening.

    Bengal

In the bottle: A swirling, jabbering crowd of scents, hard to pick any single note out. What I think is honey becomes ginger, which becomes musk, which becomes pepper, which becomes honey, etc. On my skin: Honey takes control of my skin on application and is rounded out by the ginger and pepper. I wasn't too sure about this one since it seemed so spicy, but I'm quickly falling in love!

    Maenad

In the bottle: Luscious strawberry with a certain edge I'm guessing is the carnation. On my skin: Sweet, hard to discern any particular notes. Strawberry usually turns into a sickly-sweet powder on my skin fairly quick, but not so now. Now it's starting to sharpen up some. I can still smell some of the strawberry and florals, but they're not very prominent. Overall, this isn't very strong on me at all. Later on: The strawberry has become more prominent, but it hasn't turned into sickly-sweet powder at all; it smells like a proper strawberry still. Nice!

    Lightning

In the bottle: Sharp, ozoney wetness. Very energetic. On my skin: Nice for an aquatic scent, but not for me.
  7. desu

    Shroud

In the bottle: Fluttering, clean linen with ephemeral florals. On my skin: Sweet florals. It smells nice, but there's not a lot of substance here for me. Too faint -- muted, as someone else called it.

    Dracul

In the bottle: Musky mint with a swirling woodsy, herbal undercurrent. On my skin: This becomes incredibly "dark" on application. The woods, herbs, and musk skulk in the background, while the orange blossom and clove come to the fore to join the cutting mint. Not too foresty, not too floral. Eventually the florals disappear, leaving a very brooding, spicy darkness behind.
  9. desu

    Lust

In the bottle: Patchouli, red musk. Extremely dark, sexy, and shadowy. On my skin: Patchouli all up in my face. Later on: The patchouli calms down some, allowing this scent to turn into a luxurious, musky dream. Yum-may. I need more of this!
  10. desu

    Blood Rose

In the bottle: The red wine note is incredibly prominent on sniffing. On my skin: The wine loses to the rose note as this immediately turns to soap. Soapy wine, yum!
  11. desu

    Eris

In the bottle: FRUIT On my skin: Fruit fruit fruit and more fruit. Bleh. This is like Fruit Moon, but not as strong. Later on: Mostly gone except for a faint sweetness.
  12. desu

    Dia de los Muertos

In the bottle: Chocolate incense. On my skin: Disappears almost immediately. A faint spiciness left behind but not anything else. This is weird because cocoa usually does pretty well on me.
  13. desu

    Love Me

In the bottle: Spicy, cinnamony incense. On the skin: Spicy, musky cinnamon. I can detect a faint floral in the background although I can't tell what it is. Later on: The floral's starting to smell a little like jasmine to me, although it's mainly lurking in the background. Still pretty spicy and musky.
  14. desu

    Kurukulla

In the bottle: Extremely sweet lotus. This is making my teeth hurt, it smells so sugary sweet. On my skin: As usual, the roses immediately turn to soap. Now I smell like extremely sweet lotus soap. :|
  15. desu

    Baneberry

In the bottle: Sweet berries shot with green. On my skin: Fades almost instantly to nothing, leaving a faint trace of sweetness behind.
  16. desu

    Psyche

In the bottle: Straight lavender. On my skin: What I guess is the musk and frankincense have come to the foreground to round out the lavender. I think I can also detect some of the rose as well. Later on: The rose note has come out more, although it hasn't turned to soap like so many others do. Right now, the sample area smells like musky rose.
  17. desu

    Empyreal Mist

In the bottle: Sweet, juicy orange fringed with florals. On my skin: Not as strong as it was in the bottle now after application. Later on: Disappeared.
  18. desu

    Asphodel

In the bottle: Thin, ghostly florals. On my skin: A faint scent that reminds me of hyacinth, perhaps a bit of lily lurking in the background. Not really me, but it would make a nice room scent for when I'd like a subtle floral.
  19. desu

    Leanan Sidhe

In the bottle: Liquid dish detergent. It makes think more of washing laundry than frolicking creekside. On my skin: Soapy, synthetic florals. Mreh!
  20. desu

    Sea of Glass

In the bottle: Crisp, fresh aquatics. Incredibly clean smelling, although not quite "beachy". On my skin: This went from the clean aquatic scent I first smell to a clean lilac scent after application. I'm not really a fan of aquatics, but this one is really quite lovely. Later on: There's a bit of a soapy edge to this now, but it's not enough to annoy me or scrub furiously at my arm trying to get it off or anything.
  21. desu

    Fire of Love

In the bottle: Sharp, spicy wood note. On my skin: Patchouli and civet come to the front rather quickly upon application. Not that I mind since I'm beginning to like the smell of patchouli, and civet and I love each other. The little man would says this belongs on a boy, but I can't get enough of Beth's musky, civety offerings. Later on: The patchouli has mostly burnt itself out, leaving the enticing aroma of civet behind.
  22. desu

    Yggdrasil

In the bottle: Smelling this instantly brings to mind some of the wildnerness I've tramped around while growing up. I smell live oaks at first, then evergreens and herbs and other things later on. On my skin: Amazing. It's like I've walked up to the tree itself and stuck my nose up to its bark. This isn't just components of tree notes I've smelled in the past (needles, bark, etc.), but the whole tree - a complete, living being.
  23. desu

    Dance of Death

In the bottle: Sharp soap. Dial, as mentioned earlier, does come to mind, but this pokes the olfactory nerves a little more than that. On my skin: Goes a bit soapy before completely disappearing on my skin.
  24. desu

    Blood Moon 2005

In the bottle: Cedar? Some sort of sweet wood and herbs. On my skin: I've smelled this somewhere before, but I can't quite figure out what or where. A bit sweet, woodsy, some herbs filling out the sides. Later on: Still going strong, both the feeling of frenzy I get when smelling this and the strong wood and herbal notes in this one. This scent ain't backin' down from nothin'! I'm glad I have both a bottle and imp of this one.
  25. desu

    Thanatos

In the bottle: Sweet, spicy rose. On my skin: Very complex! I can't pick out any one scent. Better yet, the rose isn't turning to soap. At least not yet, anyway. Thanatos keeps morphing on my skin; it smells spicy-sweet one sniff, and spicy-woodsy the next. Later on: I can't pick out the notes now, but this smells like incense on me now -- nothing annoying or nose-searing, but something a little masculine and not overbearing. I can see myself buying a bottle of this one!
