  1. I got an imp of this in a recent swap and it is amazing!! In the imp it was very heavy on the honey, which worried me as honey has a tendency to turn very green on my skin. But as soon as the wand hit my wrist, the honey blended so beautifully with the amber and vanilla that I immediately added it to my purchase pending list. Then I proceeded to run around my house, shoving my wrist under peoples noses, saying, "SMELL MEEEE!!" Haha. The best part is that when my boyfriend hugged me he couldn't stop talking about how amazing I smelled! He said that this is not only his favorite bpal scent, this is his favorite of all my perfumes! He even offered to buy me a bottle!! :) He said that all my other oils make me smell like a hippie and this one makes me smell like, "a vanilla goddess!!" his words, not mine. And, I don't know about anyone else, but when I wear this he can't seem to keep his hands off me! I think I'm gonna buy a back up of this... just in case. ;)

  2. This is all rosy and lemony sunshine!! I think I'm in love! This smelled so good in the imp and did not disappoint on the skin. After five minutes the sandalwood and jasmine take the zing out of the lemon. It fades into a gorgeously soft yellow scent. I close my eyes and see soft, pale yellow cotton sheets on a clothes line, drying in the warm summer breeze. Very calming. Sooo pretty!! This is going on the bottle list for sure!!

  3. The description of this scent sounded so sexy and I was ridiculously excited to try it on. It smelled like plastic and cough syrup the moment I put it touched my skin. I don’t get any vanilla at all and the leather (which is one of my favorite scents) turned weirdly sour. So very sad. :cry2: I think this one’s going to the sale pile.

  4. I put very little on my wrists because I didn't particularly like the way it smelled in the imp. It was an herbally, green scent. I was very disappointed because so many people said it smelled like lemon and baby powder. I had such high hopes, but it was no better when I put it on my skin. It smelled a little like a dirty diaper. :cry2: Within five minutes the dirty diaper smell had faded into a not unpleasant, but not my style, herby smell, and five minutes after that I couldn't smell anything at all. I was going to wash it off and put something else on, when my boyfriend came to pick me up for dinner... lets just say we didn’t make it to our reservation.

    Spoiler
It turned him into a sex crazed maniac!! He couldn't keep his hands off me!! We pretty much spent the whole evening in bed!! I mean, generally I don't kiss and tell, but oh my god this stuff works!!! :wub2:

If the little amount that I used had that intense of an effect on him, than I think I will be keeping this imp and perhaps ordering a bottle. Beth, you are a genius and I bow down to your epicosity.

  5. I was pretty excited about this scent and in the bottle it smelled amazing!! It reminded me of a young girl laughing in the sunshine as her mother tries to wipe sticky, melted cotton candy off of her cheek. But the moment I put it on my skin, it turned to sickeningly sweet bubblegum and some weird kind of decaying, dirt-esk note. :cry2: Oh well. Maybe I'll have better luck with a scent locket. :)

  6. This one was really disappointing for me. The description sounded beautiful, but the imp smelled way sweeter than I had anticipated. When I put it on my skin, the tobacco blended funny with the apricot and smelled like a car air freshener. Not an entirely bad smell, but not something I would like to smell like, lol. Sadly, my body chemistry has decided that it did not like this one. :cry2: But! There is always hope for a room scent!! :joy:

  7. Imp: I’m smelling something sour and not very appealing. I'm not smelling lily at all. It almost smells like a compost pile gone bad...

Wet: Woah! This is totally different from the imp!! It’s morphed into a beautiful floral scent. It really does smell kind of like a ‘creeping chill’. The flowers give off almost an ethereal, white and blue scent. Like, this is what I’d expect to smell in an old cemetery at four in the morning, just as the sun rises under cloud cover. The flowers and ivy have taken over the tombstones and mausoleums and you think you hear a child’s laughter as an eerie mist clouds the footpath. At least, that’s what I see when I smell this. :) The lily is really the main player, but the ivy and the other flowers keep it from taking over the whole blend.

Dry Down: The scent has pretty much stayed the same. It’s a little more powdery, but in the best way possible. The throw is decent and the staying power is at least an afternoon. I'm really liking this!

This was actually a frimp that Theseagrows sent me when I ordered a few of her imps, and I am so pleasantly surprised at how lovely this is!! I think this might just be a 5ml order!! :)

  8. The scents of the blossoms of darkness, condensed into one perfume. Features a rose base, softened with lilac and wisteria.

I just got this scent in a swap (thank you Theseagrows!!) and I'm pretty excited to try it out. The description is promising!

In the Imp: The lilac is a very strong and the rose is hiding behind a green note. Like, flower stems or maybe even a little bit of grass. I'm not getting any wisteria so far.

Wet: The green note is completely gone and the rose has come out of hiding! :) I still not smelling the wisteria. The lilac and rose are trying to blend, but the rose keeps winning, lol. It’s a very powdery rose scent. (I know there some people who don’t like powdery rose scents, but it reminds me of rose dipped in baby powder. :) Which makes me happy. :))

Dry down: Theeeeeres the wisteria. The rose has calmed down and the three flowers are playing nicely. Its equal parts wisteria, lilac, and rose. So pretty!

After an Hour: The wisteria has faded into the background again. It’s mostly lilac and rose. The powdery note has turned a bit soapy, but not in a bad way

All in all, the rose/lilac notes have faded so beautifully into a soft, floral scent that I don’t really miss the wisteria. It’s a very delicate, pretty scent. :)

  9. This last week was absolutely awful for me. School is a lot more stressful than I had anticipated, I got turned down for a role (not because of my talent, mind you, simply because I am too tall and the male lead is only 5' 2''), my dad is in PA for 30 days and my mom is at wits end without him, I'm having mood swings every five minutes which lead me to snap at my poor boyfriend, and I made the mistake of reading a review for a horror movie and its scared me/wigged me out pretty much all week. (The link I followed told me I was going to a review for Batman!!!) My mind was filled with dark, sad, scary thoughts and I couldn't calm down enough to sleep. My sister offered me her bottle of white light, promising it would help. I put the oil over my heart, throat, and third eye chakras and I climbed into bed. Immediately I felt calm and peaceful. It was like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders. My stress melted away and my mind was finally at rest. I slept like a freaking baby! I don't remember the last time I had such a deep and peaceful sleep. I woke up this morning and I felt like a brand new person, ready to face the day and conquer any challenges that crossed my path! :)

I'm not sure what the separate notes in the blend are, but it smells like soft white flowers (I think gardenia or lilies) and a hint of herbally/spicey lemon that didn't show up until after I had put it on my skin. It smells beautifully crisp, clean, and peaceful. I’m ordering a bottle of this asap because not only did it do exactly what it promised in the description, it's a beautiful scent.

(Edit for spelling mistakes and because Word decided to delete all my apostrophes, lol.)

  10. I love this scent! This was the very first bpal scent I had ever smelled, and what a wonderful introduction it was!

In the Bottle: I was a little hesitant. The spices seemed a little strong for my tastes. I was afraid it would be too much spice and not enough rose.

Wet: I never knew you could bottle the smell of a flower so perfectly. The rose became the predominant scent with just enough spice in the background to add a beautiful depth.

Dry: The scents mellowed and blended so wonderfully! The only qualm I have with this scent is that it faded within a few hours of putting it on. :( But! That’s a small price to pay to smell so good!!

This scent made me feel like I was sitting in a Victorian tea room, waiting for my beau to arrive. I am in love love love! I realize that this is the first of many scents I’m going to try from bpal, but right now it’s my signature scent. And my boyfriend loves it! Bonus!! :)
