  1. this smells like warm bread pudding with cinnamon or a bowl of cinnamon rice pudding--i am getting a very sweet caramelly milky smell that is multifaceted and has extra dimension and sweetness due to the sweet honeysuckle--the copal is giving it great depth--that smooth wooden casket feeling---yummmmmmmmmm

    :P

  2. this smells like spicy mexican hot chocolate..

its very potent and mesmerizing---there is an "oily" woodiness to this..

the colors i am getting with are dark velvety brown and marroon hues--like the curtains at a hookah bar that are saturated with spicy chocolatey incense--picture a very dark den..

this makes me want to hibernate in a cave.

  3. This is vaguely remiscent of stella.

this smells like a very elegantly leather gloved hand is cradling crimson dewy crushed rose petals...like you went for a walk and picked up the juiciest darkest velvet rose you could find--maybe so darkly red that it looked black and crushed it in your leathered gloved hands and inhaled as you continued to roam around on your very crisp chilly walk..

    very heady and voluptuous.

  4. when i first tried this i had a visceral stomach turning--i hate u reaction to this-- it smelled too much like real blood..then i tried aging it and tried it 2 weeks later and i like it. its very potent...spicy cherry--i would almost say it smells like doctor pepper...the strong cherry dissapeared through the aging process so the cherry cough syrup thing has gone leaving more of a darker honeyed molasses cherry cola feeling..

just goes to show--give everything a second chance..

  5. my first reaction in the bottle was....ohhh noooo... pure incense..

i love incense but i am not sure i want to smell like it..

on the other hand this is incense done right...i cannot wear very strong incense smells as it makes me gag, but this is subtle--as others have said--an incense skin scent on me..

also although i am not extremely head over heals in love with this its become very addictive and a comfort scent for me..its not letting me swap it--i need to keep this bottle to play with some more..

this scent reminds me of the way very old well loved books in a hole in the wall metaphysical shop would smell--parchment and the scent of incense to it with some woods maybe, but there is a "graininess" to this...like smelling hot jasmine rice in a huge burlap sack baking in the desert--picture the smell of the burlap, sand, sun, jasmine rice and throw in some incense burning in the background...this is other worldly..it makes me want to get on a caravan and put henna on my hands..

i think this might me a bedtime scent for me though...its very very languid...like warm honey...and it relaxes me and makes me want to curl up in a goose down comforter...and yes oddly enough...

it makes me want to be read to, a book....not just any book...fairy tales of arabian nights..

  6. :P

This is the only bpal scent from all the ones I have tested that has FLOORED me!! from the first whiff in the bottle till the second it hit my skin...Dorian looooooooves me--all the unloved imps and wasted dough and bottles that didn't do it for me are worth it since I finally found a scent that is "ME" .. this is my signature scent--it turns into magic the second it hits my skin and i don't want to try or wear anything else...its fresh without being sterile and yet comforting with its muskiness--i wore a coral cashmere sweater today and the scent permeated the soft cashmere and was glorious..oddly it makes me think of sugary fluggly vanilla clouds with a fresh breeze going through them...I have never been SOOO excited about a scent in all my perfume addicted 27 years of sampling!!!!

it makes me want to curl up in soooooofffft cashmere and eat lots of vanilla ice cream--its so soothing. I cannot wax poetic enough over this.. Hallelulah!!

  7. very soft subtle scent that does smell like chai tea

its too soft and subtle though..

and i think i'd get sick of smelling like chai after awhile but thats just me--i am not too into super foody stuff..

this is rather warm and soothing though but not a wow!!!

lemme spend some more time with this scent

    :P

  8. the most delicate pretty floral..

it actually smells like creamy milky buttery (any more adjectives?) honeyed lilies..

its so soothing..like sipping hot milk with sugar on a cold day.

i have an imp which i enjoy but the scent is too shortlived.

the olfactory experience lasts 15 minutes and poof! its gone.. sort of adds to the whimsical dreamy nature of this scent..

  9. dry herbs...

like dried twigs of some sort baking in the sun underneath some red clay? smells like baked clay sandalwood bark (Weird i know)

    i smell clay..

i get a sense of light from this.. sunny but somber but not sad...just serious..meditative..

actually to me this smells of an old cold church with slabs of white marble inside--beams of sunlight coming through with sandalwood incense burning..

  10. spicy fresh lilacs..

    with a dash of musk

very fleeting and light which adds to its mystery

    reminds of the color lilac

very soft like the whisper of purple butterfly wings..

    :P

  11. :P

    love it..

like a wad of bills dabbled in patchouli oil and sitting in a forest ..

    a dichotomy, a mystery..

smell of a baby pine tree growing out of dirt--a money tree!!

smell of cinnamony wet bark.. as well..lurking there

    very soothing..

like a big cup of mate while hiking the andes.

  12. cinnamony spicy pine perfect for snowy x-mas and the cold.

good for head clearing, almost a floral pine grounded by musk..

very soothing--turns very sweet on me..like sugary pine..resin...sap..

    love it!

brings images of beautiful huge forests and elves..

    ethereal..

  13. this smelled like straight jasmine out of the bottle..

then 20 minutes later its jasmine mingling with sandalwood incense..

i hate jasmine, but that phase is very short lived..

it smells like a buttery floral and incense mix--this makes me think of

"the never ending story" and the 80s.

    feeling nostalgic..

Been wearing it now for a week and its growing on me even more.. this seems like a second skin scent to me--it smells like one of those candied apples--not like the apple but the sticky red candy caramelly coating they put on it ..not really too sweet--its like a musky, vanilla, spicy, smoky smell...i thought it was very light at first, but i stell smell wiffs of it the day after wear and it smells better on skin the day after--on skin thats a little "dirty" meaning not freshly showered..

it just reminds me of these stores in china town that sell old red lacquer furniture and they are burning their spicy chinese incense which is very different from indian incense--chinese incense smells like dragon's blood..

looking forward to my soon arriving dragon's heart--hoping its kicked up a notch...

    loooooveeeee :P
