  1. very deeply fruity. like dark red fruit in the sun. very seductive and warm.

I can definitely smell red wine. It is a bit too overpowering after a couple of minutes.

but there's almost a citronella smell to it as well? maybe that is why it reminds me of summer.

    not a winner for me.

  2. I can't really smell patchouli in this. I hated the way it smelled in the bottle. definitely a scent you can't just sniff, you have to put it on, just like Three Witches.

this is what I wish Blood Moon would smell like. I love Red Phoenix. It is powerful, spicy, exotic.

Cinnamon but not overpoweringly dry like Blood Moon was, even though it reminds me a lot of Blood Moon. sweetened just enough, and amped up with other spices and florals.

and perfect 'natural' skin scent. very sexy! :P

    ADDED Jan. 17:

I was really disappointed with Red Phoenix.

It did just what Blood Moon did with me. a heaping tablespoon of dry bitter cinnamon in your mouth.

this is better than Blood Moon in the sense that I can smell floral and sweeter notes that balance out the bitterness.

but still. off to the swap pile.

  3. I haven't really gotten to analyze the actual scent of this, and I'll try it out again and update this. but I so wanted to share my experience with this oil.

in its description, it says it attracts beneficiary spirits right?

Today I went to take my last final. I seriously haven't slept in two days because I've been studying so much and have been so stressed. I took my final and did pretty well and I was feeling pretty good and couldn't wait to get home and start catching up on my z's.

My brother is off from school, and he said he would be home alone all day, so I didn't bring my keys, or my phone or my wallet, and I didn't even bother to put socks on before I slipped into my sneakers. I know, stupid me, but all I was thinking about was this final. And after the final, the semester would be over.

So I get home and my brother isn't home. I am locked out of the house and it is around 10 or 15 degrees out. can't open any windows, as they are all locked. so I go to the neighbor's house to use the phone and she isn't there. I walk all around the entire neighborhood to try and find someone home, and no one is home.

and because I didn't have socks on, my feet were beginning to get really cold.

After about two hours, my feet were completely numb with no pain or anything. I couldn't feel them and I started to panic. I started crying because I was so scared I had frostbite and it was the middle of the day and my parents wouldn't be home until much much later. and I was so cold.

after about 15 minutes of instinctually checking all the windows and even trying to pry the storm door off its hinges, I gave up and I sat down on the steps and began to pray. to no one in particular, to just let some neighbor come home so I could warm up in their house at least.

I checked the mail and I had gotten a package, a swap from another forum member. at that point I didn't care about anything but getting my feet warm, because I could hardly walk. but I opened it out of boredom and took out Water of Notre Dame, and for some reason, without even thinking, I put it on under my chin and smelled it. literally two seconds after I put it on, I heard my neighbor's car door slam closed. she let me in, made me tea, gave me fleece socks and let me sit next to her heater.

I was amazed. I definitely learned my lesson. and I will only use this blend when I really need to!

  4. Very unique scent. Cherry and almond. There is SOMETHING about this scent that smells so secretive. Mysterious, as if there is a shy, giggling secret it is holding.

and I can smell/feel its intent even before I put it on, at the first whiff. delicious.

I put this on my neck and wrists and by the end of the night my dad gave me 40 dollars.

    5ml!

  5. A very young smelling pale yellow scent.

Smells like sunlight through pale yellow leaves on a cold early spring day. I can smell linden and trees and fields and pasture. all untouched with no people around.

Something brand new yet very old, like a baby tree sprouting in an ancient grove.

keeping the imp, but no 5ml.

  6. This scent reminds me a LOT of Follow Me Boy. I was a bit confused about that until I realized that both Lionheart and Follow Me Boy are very commanding, domineering scents with those intents as well.

I was so excited to get Lionheart. Because my totem is the mountain lion and I have had plans for years to get 'heart of a lion' in gaelic tattooed on my back.

I wore this to bed after a long hard depressing day. I even put some on the stuffed lion that I sleep with. However I did not remember to put out any energy/intents, so nothing extraordinary happened.

but I did feel rather safe and protected while I slept.

this is going to be a very important scent to me. definitely something I'll want to wear when I need extra courage and a kick in the pants.

It will be my next project to find a big bottle of this.

  7. Holy MOSES this knocked my socks off my feet.

I liked it because at first it reminded me a LOT of Hades (one of my favorites). but it is so much more complex and fun!

It smells like Christmas! Yummy evergreens and dark berries and snuggly winter nights. tobacco and old wood and leather. and there is woodsmoke and a candy-like cinnamon. like chewy cinnamon bears.

I LOVE THIS. it smells so old and medieval. I keep imagining the room of the knights of the round table!

    5ML!!

  8. This is lovely and sexy. It is a deep dark burned vanilla. caramelized sugar.

it is almost too heavy though. too deep and not feminine enough? it smells sexily unclean.

I do like it but I don't think I will wear it often, unless I want to get frisky.

way too masculine. for some reason.

  9. I remember not being very enthusiastic about this scent the first time I tried it. But lets see what happens the second time around.

It smells like sweet water and grains. Almost like what beer would smell like before it is fermented.

or like Mead. this is very unique and light. has a grass note.

I can't figure out whether I like this or not. it is a nice sweet scent but it bothers me somehow.

and I have figured it out, when it dries down it smells like chalky violets. and I dislike violets.

    oh well.

  10. although this does smell a bit like the dreaded honey lemon cough drops I so despise, it doesn't bother me! wow! lovely honey scent with a bit of... menthol maybe?

it makes me think of antiquity. of old photographs, because it smells sort of like my baby picture album from the 80's so maybe decaying photographs? weird.

It also has a sharp green smell to it. this would be great for Beltane. it smells like fertility!!

    :P

  11. I smelled wine at the first whiff. lovely red wine. unless I was imagining things.

There is a sweet peppermint note. and some cherry? Just like a cherry candy cane! I love this! that's all I'm getting though, no more wine as it dries, just cherry candy cane.

It fades VERY fast however. before I could even make a decent review.

oh well I loved it while it lasted. :P

  12. I was excited to try this because it is one of my birthday moons (the other is Hunter, since I was born almost in between the moons)

it smells like Jack! but with florals and spices and leaves. a very green jack. like as if Jack was a young green pumpkin.

but it may be a bit too green and sharp. it is very unique. definitely the scents of early autumn.

I might have to try this out again.

  13. This is so wonderful and yummy! it is so far my favorite Moon, and my favorite aquatic scent.

It smells, like other people have said, like Yankee Candle's Storm Watch. But it also reminds me of City in the Sea. I am not getting the ozone many people have mentioned. but maybe I don't know what ozone smells like?

I like this though because I can smell sweet watery flowers, very aquatic and fresh and clean. I would love to smell this on a guy.

I think I'd like to use this after a shower.

  14. I mourned this. I almost cried with disappointment. It is too sharp. it smells like something sharp and plastic or like burned rubber.

that does die down after applying and drying a bit, and then it is all dry bitter cinnamon. Like I put a spoonful of pure straight powdered cinnamon in my mouth.

no dragon's blood. just burned rubber and chalky choking cinnamon.

oh Blood Moon, my lament. :P

it seems as though I'm one of the only ones that dislike this! sometimes I wonder if I am just getting bad imps!

    off to swaps.

  15. when first applied, it reminded me a LOT of the Unicorn. It has that candy lime skittle smell to it, but it is more watermelon.

And I smell... BEER! well, its probably Mead actually. This blend makes me feel so yummy and sparkly and intoxicating! it makes me think of drunken faeries on Midsummer night's eve!

Honey and flowers and glittery candy! though it does fade very fast on me.

    5ml!!

  16. This blend screams FIRE and BRIMSTONE! I have a lot of the fire element in me, so I LOVE this blend!

I want to bathe in this. It smells like REAL fresh dragon's blood resin (quite different from the Dragon's Blood bpal blend) and asofoetida and sulfur. Just like the anger powder I made from a magickal formulary to help me release pent up anger.

Very fiery, when I first sniffed it, it was the epitome of red red rage. uncontrollable and feral.

    5ml!!

  17. this is lovely.

a watery yet spicy rose. A LOT like Moon Rose, one of my favorite scents. It is an incredibly fresh watery rose but with slight kicks in the rose's ass from other florals and perhaps a spice?

very very romantic. when it is freshly applied, it reminds me of an insane infatuation, because the rose is so strong. but not overpowering, it is just heightened and intoxicating. the drydown is lovely as well, it smells so much like Moon Rose when dry. This is Moon Rose in serious love.

  18. that was great and intriguing in the vial. A wonderful mix of cocoa, a tiny HINT of lemon, it was a very complex blend.

but on my skin... sadly it turned into a menthol honey lemon cough drop. which unfortunately has ruined my experience. anything that contains a combination of honey and lemon makes me feel a bit ill. (as did White Rabbit :P )

edit: SCRATCH THAT! 1 half hour to 1 hour later....PURE BEAUTY.

It is the SAME EXACT SCENT as my favorite Crystal Journey Candle of Courage. SAME EXACT. :D :D :D Holy moses.

no cocoa, not lemon-honey-ness that I despise... I don't even know what I am smelling. but it is this candle scent to a T.

:D I am completely, wholly AMAZED.

  19. I was very disappointed with O. No vanilla, no sex :P all tart baby powder. I smelled like an old lady. or maybe a baby's butt.

Is it possible I got a mislabeled imp? this is nothing like the description. and I am in mourning after such high expectations and rave reviews.

  20. it smelled nice and relaxing, but I still tossed and turned.

I'm very sensitive to scent and usually can't wear any scents to bed. What comforts me and puts me to sleep is my own scent and the scent of my snuggle fabric softener.

I mean, I think I'd rather use this oil for just relaxing instead of sleeping because the scent was new and unfamiliar and it kept me up.

  21. oh LORD this smells wonderful.

I thought it was going to be like Sacred Whore of Babylon for some reason. it is just as strong, but that's about it.

in the vial it was kind of scary-powerful.

I put it on and yeah, I was in heaven. cherry lollipops. it reminds me of what I like about Black Phoenix except it is not as horribly evil and poisonous smelling. even though it is really naughty.

I love this. I can also smell the strawberries and resin. frankincense I think.

  22. in the vial: overpowering violets. I'm scared of violets.

wet on skin: *sigh* violets. but softer. it smells like baby lotion? love's baby soft? I'm trying to place it.

dry: oh shoot.. the violets have returned full force. this is definitely NOT going to work on me.

  23. in vial: smells scary. with mint. like a monster with nice fresh minty breath. lol.

on skin: as it dries I can smell the juniper. it is a very cool scent. cold. doesn't really smell like the ocean to me though. but it does make me think of it in an aquatic way.

I might sell/swap this or I might keep it for magickal work.

  24. in vial: smells like a doctor's office, or a hospital. like rubbing alcohol.

wet: rubbing alcohol smell goes away, a very light slightly lemon, incensey china rain smell.

I usually hate lemon scents unless they are fresh and sweet and very light. and this is great. it reminds me of skin so soft in a way, just not vile. very fresh.

dry: now it is getting sweeter as it dries. a bit more floral. this is very nice.

I thought I was going to hate this when I saw lemon in the description. but I really like it :P

  25. My 5ml is mislabeled as Snake Charmer. I was excited to get this in a swap because I thought it was Snake Charmer. But holy mother of lucifer this stuff is GORGEOUS.

I have fallen deeply in love with House of Mirrors.

It is hard however for me to dissect it. It smells alot like Moon Rose (one of my favorites) but it has an aquatic note and is also citrussy.

it is so fresh and clean, but not overpoweringly sharp and dry like some clean scents. it does make me think of mirrors. it's a very 'blue' scent. mmmmm

this is so lovely. so so lovely. :P :D is it possible to have a crush on a scent?
