Jasmine

 

Overpowering, sickly sweet Jasmine... I was hoping for more musk and incense, but sadly this is almost single note Jasmine on me.

This is sharp and medicinal like Medicine Man from the Carnival Noir series...

 

Very green, it almost burns my nose to sniff it. It's a very energizing scent... I'll keep it around for mornings when I can't wake up...

Mmm... Opium... I love BPAL's opium note... it smells *so* good.

 

 

Sadly the narcissus goes all powdery and stale on my skin.

Ack... this smell like cheap coconut tanning oil smothered in hazelnut liqueur.

It's yummy and creamy... just not something I would wear as a perfume. My fiance thought I had opened a bottle of sunscreen...


Fiance- "Why do you need sunscreen? It's the middle of January"
Me- " It's not sunscreen, it's Black Pearl from BPAL"
Fiance- "cool, Like from the Pirates movie?"

Carnations!!! and spicey musk with a hint a sweet plum juice...

 

This is so feminine and lovely. The musk threatens to go powdery on my skin, but quickly fades.

This is absolute floral gorgeousness! I love when the lab sends me frimps I would never try on my own!

My fiance is a Capricorn, so I was anxious to try his "sign"...

 

Wow this is sharp, strong, medicinal smelling in the vial... almost too overpowering to try on...

 

After a few minutes, it warms to a sweet cedar/ patchouli scent... very masculine, powerful and sexy.

Rich cinnamon and spicey cloves drenched in decadent Dragon's Blood... OMG this is good.

 

Mars was one of the Celestials I was really looking forward to trying (besides Aries) and I'm not disappointed at all!

 

This is spicey, peppery and sweet... strong and sexy... gorgeous!

Whoa juicy mangos! Fresh, fat perfectly ripe mangos! After that, there is a medicinal/flowery sage undertone with hints of something bitter (maybe the musk?).

 

I love this scent, but it really burns my skin and doen't really smell good as a room scent...

Musky, sexy oranges and pine needles.

With a slight boozy undertone. This is very sexy... The cocoa note isn't nearly as strong as I expected, leaving a bitter-sweet memory of hotchocolote amongst the other notes.

Honeysuckle and lavender with a hint of lemony-citrus.

The citrus fades quickly, and the lavender becomes more pronounced.
Deffinately an excellent night time scent. Very pretty and comforting.

This starts off juicy and woodsy... slightly musky. Overall very sexy.

 

However as it fades, something in it turns powdery and sickly sweet... Thankfully it fades quickly.

Cracked Bell is musky sweet dragon's blood on me.

 

Very pretty, I wish I had ordered a bottle, but the reviews scared me off.

 

This has a hint of incense sweetness, but I don't get anything metalic like some do...

 

Very sexy blend.

This smells justl ike toothpaste on my skin...

 

 

I really like it, and plan to keep an imp around for clearing my sinuses when I have allergies....

 

And I agree with others - this is what I expected Numb to smell like.

This was really pretty, I didn't expest to like it. It was a frimp from a forum trade.

 

Sweet, almost buttery mint, lasted all day! Wow!

Luna is all soft, sweet, clean, sparkilingly feminine white florals! *lovely*

 

It's very sweet, but the jasmine note isn't at all as overpowering as it tends to be in some blends.

Luna reminds me of sitting in a slightly overgrown-semi wild garden of nightblooming flowers.

Chaste Moon smells like butterscoth cotton candy! Sweet, slightly buttery sugary goodness.

 

This is a really fun, super sweet, girlie scent. I love it!

Warm citrus and earthy/woodsy notes. Spirits of the Dead is lovely.

 

The warm, woodsy notes mingle deliciously with the crisp fresh citrus. Very unique.

 

I love citrus, but in combination with the wood notes, this is a little overpowering for my tastes. I plan to use it as a room scent.

In the bottle this is green, fresh and SO pretty.

 

Sadly, on my skin something in it turns soapy and almost sour smelling.

I've been wearing this in my hair, and it doesn't turn soapy, thankfully.

OMG... this is such a "throw-me-down-and-f*ck-me" scent...

 

Dark seductive patchouli mingled with soft feminine orange blossoms... *pure sexual desire in a bottle*

 

Must get a BIG bottle...

OMG... I wanted to love this blend so badly, but the rose note ruined it for me once again...

 

Leather notes love me, but in combination with rose, Whip starts to smell like dirty gym socks and urine... *yuck*

Roses... ack!

 

In the vial this is beautiful, crisp, fresh-cut roses with a hint of "other" floral sweetness...

 

On my skin, the rose turns to pure powdery yuckiness... rose rarely likes my skin chemistry...

Fresh cut grass!

 

This is a scent that takes me back to my childhood... Chrisp fresh greenness mingled with sharp herbal mintiness... reminds me of playing in my tree-fort as my dad would mow the lawn on the weekends.

 

It's odd how this scent trigers such distant memories... green, herbal, clean and fresh... "Envy" takes me back to when I was a kid growing up "wild" and "barefoot" near the Florida everglades... *sigh*

At first this smells like grape laffy taffy... sickly sweet sugary grape candy.

 

Thankfully within minutes it dries to a rich sweet and more complex blend... The Patchouli takes over with a unique sweetness I haven't encountered in other BPALs... Sensual yet playful...

 

This is a very sexual blend, hints of dirty, dark musk and rich resins take turns surfacing as this oil warms to my skin... I love it... Powerful, rich and sensual, all the requirements for a perfect BPAL blend.

Smokey incense, spicey cinnamon, and sweet patchouli! I'm in love!

 

This is so *sexy*. As the oil warms and blends with my skin, it just keeps getting better!

It smells like hot, passionate sex in a room filled with expensive hand-dipped incense. I was worried the cinnamon would take over, but the patchouli keeps it in its place.

Cedar shavings and green bitter herbs.

 

Very odd, yet familiar scent. I like this as a "pick-me-up" scent.
