  1. Two, Five, and Seven:

In the bottle: Yes, I definitely smell the roses, but I also smell..sugar, I think.

Wet: Again with the roses under the sweet. Candy-sweet, or Hall's-sweet.

    Drydown: Roses. Light, wafting roses.

Conclusion: Keep. Try again to see how it does as a perfume.

  2. Regan:

In the bottle: Maybe my senses are still shocked from trying Snake Oil, but I'm not smelling much of anything, except some kind of sickly-sweet flower.

Wet: Ah, okay, it's regular flower now, not sickening at all. Almost like dried flowers, potpourri, or an Illuminations candle.

Drydown: Ick. That sickly-sweet note is back, almost like O, but not as vomit-inducing.

    Conclusion: sell imp

  3. Snake Oil:

In the bottle: Mmm...cigars and vanilla! I hope it smells this good on me!

Wet: Spicy, in a really yummy way.

Drydown: Mmmm it's spicy-cigar-sweet, exactly what I wanted Juke Joint to smell like (and it didn't). I'm in love (though it's by no means my OMGGIMME!scent, it's still love).

Update: nearly 24 hours later, and I can still smell it (albeit faintly) on my wrist! (Hey, I put it on after I showered last night, I'm not gross!) It's a really warm sandalwood now, with just the hint of vanilla. Mmm.. this is a sexy scent. Like, club-sexy. Maybe I'll wear this to The Box (local 21+ goth club) on my 21st...

Conclusion: keep imp, and any other imps that come my way. Prossibly look for an empty Snake Oil bottle?

  4. Phantom Queen:

In the bottle: Hm. Light. Fruity-floral, but in a very light and wafty way.

Wet: I think that's the apple blossom I'm smelling. It's almost more green than floral.

Drydown: Um.. I'm not smelling anything. I don't know if it got rubbed off on my wrist supporter, or if the oil's not strong, or if my nose is out of whack.

Conclusion: keep imp, try again later.

  5. Zephyr:

In the bottle: It smells smoky

Wet: Still smells smoky, but like ash. Burnt flowers?

Drying: It smells like Ivory soap.... hm..

Drydown: I LOVE this! away went the soap smell, out came a warm, sweet smell.. like sugar and flowers? I wish I knew notes, to say what notes I smell! The more I smell it, the more I'm in love with it!

Conclusion: keep imp, and any same frimps that come my way.

  6. Succubus:

In the bottle: All I can smell is something sharp. The Mimosa? Nerouli? It makes my eyes water a little.

Wet: I still smell the something sharp, but the orange blossom is slowly coming through

Drying: It's getting a little bit of that powder smell again, but nowhere near what Tiger Lily did. Even though I keep sniffing it, I don't think I like it. I need foody scents. Well, give it a while more, maybe a half hour. But maybe not. My eyes are starting to water again.

Update: I had to wash it off, since it made my eyes water, and my mom's eyes, ACROSS THE ROOM, were watering, just from the scent.

    Conclusion: sell imp

  7. Tiger Lily:

In the bottle/imp: Smells flowery, but not overpoweringly so. Light. Reminds me of certain sections and booths at RenFaire.

Wet: Still smells like flowers, but now there's a slight baby powder smell. But that's okay; it offsets the flowers enough, because I'm not necessarily a flower girl. =)

Drying: Oh, yes. This smells EXACTLY like the baby powder in the bathroom. Unless this changes as it dries out more, I won't be buying this.. probably will be selling my imp, when I'm ready to start selling imps. *sigh*

Update: Hm. Flowers are starting to come back out!

Drydown: Either my nose is getting used to the smell of baby powder, or the oil is going away really fast. Either way, I think it's time for a new imp.

    Conclusion: sell imp

  8. Undertow:

The Dark Side of Water: clean and purifying, yet menacing -- lotus and juniper with a hint of mint. A scent dragged up from the depths to the Stygian shore.

In the bottle: Smells kinda like candy. Herby, minty candy.

Wet: Black licorice with a hint of mint.

Drydown: Urgh, it smells like Playdough. Almost exactly like the homemade stuff we let the kids play with at church!

    Conclusion: sell

  9. Rapture:

In the bottle: I'm getting the musk...

Wet: Still smell the musk, but also something else.. the neroli? Myrrh?

Drydown: The neroli is just about the only thing coming through now, with just a hint of the musk. I'll have to wait a bit longer to see it I like this one enough to keep, as I'm not really a flower-type girl, unless it involves vanilla. *grin*

    Conclusion: sell?

ETA: DEFINITELY sell. It started stinging/burning. I think there's lilac in this one.

  10. Marie:

In the bottle: Flowery, but very light

Wet: I can smell it on my fingers that I used to undo the bottle, but not on my wrist. What I can smell is light, airy roses.

Drydown: Maybe it's just because Burial was so strong, but this one is SO light, I can barely smell it! Ah, well, I'm not one for roses (I think) anyways.

    Conclusion: sell

  11. Burial:

In the bottle: Sharp earth. That's what I smell. Something very sharp, but I also smell earth underneath the sharpness.

Wet: It's morphed into earth right after the rain's fallen. That smell of ozone and earth.

Drydown: Now all I get is the sharp ozone smell, just faded a little.

    Conclusion: sell

  12. Queen Mab:

In the bottle: Ooh, this smells nice! Sweet flowers! Like sugar-sweet, not the vanilla-sweet of Zephyr.

Wet: Hm.. this smells almost like those choklit-covered cherries, but no choklit and some floweryness over it...

Drydown: The cherry disappeared, and now what's left is a warm rose, that's reminiscent (again) of RenFaire. I like this one.

Conclusion: Keep. Test more to see if 5ml is needed.

  13. (Old) Amsterdam:

In the bottle: I smell the peony and the grass... but it's VERY light.

Wet: Wow! I smell that grass!

Drydown: Hm. I can now actually smell all of the notes listed (tulips, peony, water, green grass), but I don't think this is something I'd wear. It's just too light and airy and white-flower-y

    Conclusion: Sell

  14. Nuit:

In the bottle: Very light, like honeysuckle

Wet: At first touch, the honeysuckle came out, but now it's receding, and nothing seems to be taking its place...

Drydown: Ooh, NOW I smell roses! Hm. I'm not sure if I want to keep this one or not.. I'm not typically a flower-type girl, but this is nice... at least it doesn't disagree with me!

Update: I've got it on my neck (where I like to wear perfume) and WHOO! The flowers are STRONG! While I don't think I'll be washing this off, I don't think I'll be keeping this imp.

    Conclusion: Sell.

  15. Dana O'Shee:

In the bottle: Woah! That almond is strong!

Wet: Er.. on my fingertips there's that strong almond smell, but on my arm, it's as if I'd put water on it!

Drydown: It's come out a little on my arm, but once again it smells like the play-dough we give the kids at church. I think someone scents it with almond oil, because that's the only hint of smell I get from this patch. And I really wanted to like this one, too! Ah, well. You win some, you lose some...

Conclusion: Either sell, or use in the oil burner.

  16. Titus Andronicus:

In the bottle: Hm. This one does smell more masculine, of musk. But also...red in a faint way.

Wet: Oh, goodness! It's woody, and dark, and I really want to smell this on my boyfriend! Mmmm this almost reminds me of my grandfather's chair, where it smelled like his aftershave and cigars.

Drydown: This actually seems like something I'd wear myself, depending on the weather and my mood. Days like today, icky rainy grey ones, I would SO want to wear this!

ETA: It's going powdery, NO! I can still smell the sandalwood through the powder, but.. but.. POWDER, no! ...Er.. okay. Now the powder's receding, but just there in the background. I think I'll have to wear this as a normal perfume to really evaluate it.

Conclusion: keep. test more to see if 5 ml is necessary. Also test on boyfriend. *grin*

Update: It just goes powdery on me. However, I need to test it on my man, and I can still put it into an oil burner or tealight. Keep imp.

  17. O:

In the bottle: Holy shit! The reviews here said it smells like sex, but, WOAH! I didn't expect they'd be right!

Wet: Okay. I still smell the sweat, and a little bit of sex, but the honey came right out at me.

Drydown: The honey and amber came out, and then they mellowed and the vanilla is starting to peek through. I like this one. It's definitely not something I could wear to school (being the Christian college university that it is), but I think I'll give this one a "bigger" test at the RenFaire on Saturday.

    Conclusion: keep, test at Faire.

Update: Tested, and it made me feel ill. Sell.

  18. Juke Joint:

In the bottle: I smell mint (slightly) and...alcohol. But, like rubbing alcohol. Not bourbon or drinking alcohol.

Wet: The mint comes out strong.

Drydown: The mint is still there, with what I think is the bourbon. However, I'm getting just a hint of powder. NO NO NO! I want this one to work! Later on, it morphs into mostly powder. Gah! I mean, the mint and bourbon are there, but only just. *cries* I wanted to like this one so much!

Conclusion: give this one more, longer test. If it's still powdery after several hours, sell. *sniff..sniff...CRY!*

Update: Yeah, it just turns to powder. Sell.

  19. Czernobog:

Created in honor of the Slavic Black God of the Dead. A nighttime god of grief, evil, chaos and woe, he is paralleled by his twin brother Bylebog, god of light, joy, order, and good fortune. A combination of three musks, with splashes of dark myrrh, vetiver and mullein.

In the bottle: Er...it smells like root beer.

Wet: Spicy. Sharp, but not quite in the same way as Undertow or Burial.

Drydown: The sharp has gone away, and the spicy has been tamed, but I SWEAR I smell sandalwood. Maybe it's just my brain smelling the myrrh and interpreting it as sandalwood (since I smelled it in Titus Andronicus, earlier tonight). It seems very clean...reminds me of a shop (no longer around) called Black Market Minerals. However, I don't think this is something I'd wear.

    Conclusion: sell

  20. Tamora:

In the bottle: Very fruity, almost a berry-like smell

Wet: You know those jelly-fruits? This smells like that.

Drydown: Yes, it definitely smells like candy-berry or jello-berry, not true nature-created berry. Ah. I've placed it. Peach. That explains a lot: me and peach don't usually get along. Hey, at least this one isn't smelling like chicken fat! (Which is what Bath&Body Works' peach body cream smelled like on both me and my mom...nasty.)

Conclusion: unless it morphs again in a little bit, sell

  21. Jolly Roger:

In the bottle: Mmmm I can smell the Bay Rum and the "salty". I can tell I'm already going to want my man to try this one on!

Wet: Wow, strong! It smells almost like Old Spice..

Drydown: It's all but disappeared on my arm. That's okay, though, as it's a scent I'd rather smell on my boyfriend rather than myself.

    Conclusion: Test on boyfriend.

  22. Bordello:

In the bottle: Fruity, but in a real-fruit way. Faintly tropical.

Wet: Oy. I can hardly smell this at all. Lemme reapply. Oki. It smells like a tropical drink.

Drydown: It's light, and fruity. Almost like the synthetic strawberry smell...maybe that's the burgundy and black currant mixing?

    Conclusion: keep imp

  23. Antique Lace:

In the bottle: Oh no, it seems like I'm going to fall in love with this! This smells subtley sweet, exactly like old potpourri with a touch of sugar or light vanilla.

Wet: Mmm, light sugary vanilla with a touch of poutpourri.

Drydown: This smells almost exactly like a lighter version of my Rag Doll.

Conclusion: God, I love this! I have to keep this, and acquire any amount that may come my way!

  24. The Red Queen:

In the bottle: Hm. This one's hard to place. The first impression I get is.. you know those chocolate-covered cherries with syrup in between the cherry and the chocolate? That taste? That's the first impression I'm getting. I should probably look at the site's description of it. Ah, yes, that'd be the black-red cherries and currant I'm smelling.

Wet: Now I'm getting the smell of the woods, with the fruits taking a back seat. It's...interesting.

Drydown: Well I need to shower, and it's still not completely dry, 5 minutes later. I'll have to try this again later, as it IS morphing, but ever-so-slowly.

Conclusion: Test later. For now, keep imp.

  25. Pele:

...This perfume embodies her gentler, benign aspect as the capricious Goddess of Dance: muguet and Hawaiian white ginger enveloped by warm, damp tropical blooms.

In the bottle: Light & somewhat tropical

Wet: Oh, my. It's a cross between that HORRID perfume the girls in high school would stink up the locker room with (Hawaiian Ginger) and baby powder.

Drydown: While it smells pretty, it's just TOO flowery, in that tropical/high school way. Too many bad experiences with over-sprayed "body mist" on band buses and in the locker room.

    Conclusion: sell imp
