The smell of expensive, cocoa-dusted truffles mmmm. Not milky on me, just very dark, pure cocoa. I am amazed this manages to smell so adult, but it does.
Years ago I went to visit a dear friend and she was baking. It wasn't until I left that I discovered she had baked me a chocolate cake. It was wonderful. This perfume reminds me of that cake, my friend and that memorable day.
This also smells amazing layered with Dana O' Shee, chocolate almonds!!!

Glad you are feeling better Beth. Take it easy and don't stress your body too much, you need to allow yourself to recover.
I think most of us still have a few fingernails to chew........
Now take good care of yourself.

poor you
Olbas Oil is wonderful... Lush-wise Hot Java + Chai or World Piece + Freeze are good. BPAL... of those I have tried maybe Pain, it is very like Ice Hotel and quite head-clearing.
Hope you feel better soon

From first application right through to dry-down this is lovely.
When first applied I smell the plum, but jasmine is very closely inter-twined.
As it starts to dry I am thinking of Spring flowers as the daffodil peeks through. This is one clever perfume, so complex.
On me once dry the musk just makes itself known, very faint behind the other smells.
I had to wear this three times before I could concentrate enough to write about it. I really like this very much and can't wait to order a big bottle.

Any comments you'd like to add about the Lab or life in general:
It is so nice to find a company that not only produces great goods but cares about customer service too. This is more like dealing with like-minded friends rather than business, here you are an individual and are treated as such. I love the oils and love the people. This is now a way of life.

Depraved
I can't add much to the above description and reviews.
When applied almond, apricot after a while amber and something smokey / musky in there too, nice. Dries down to a lovely, earthy, apricot.
I really like this a lot.

Jasmine hit me as soon as I opened the sample but my nose thought it could smell rose too. As it is drying, and with great concentration, I can just catch the carnation, a slightly peppery effect. On second wearing the carnation is very noticeable
As it dries this blends on me in such a way as to make separating the individual scents difficult if not impossible.
Some time later I am once again getting a very faint curry odour. I have noted that my body-chemistry has done this with several other perfumes. I thought it was sandalwood + neroli/bergamot that was doing this on me, but I'm not sure if sandalwood is in this one.
I want new skin-chemistry. This perfume was lovely until it dried completed and my skin messed it up.

First sniff when wet, tea and something sweet... nice. Slight dusty incensey feel to it, but warm and sweet as well.
As it is drying I'm catching the ginger. This is extremely nice. This is making me think of a sweet shop in a church!! Getting a bit herby now, I think I can smell thyme and maybe a very gentle mint-like smell.
Quite similar to Kumiho, but not as crisp. The Apothecary is quieter and slightly sweeter. I personally prefer Kumiho. The Apothecary is lovely, but I adore Kumiho.

Oh Beth, more hassle you don't need. Sorry you are still suffering shipping woes.
Like the others above, I am more than happy to pay extra for postage / insurance or whatever makes life easier.
Good Luck at the Doctor's.
Take care,
Pam.

Ouch.
Hope it eases soon.

Good Luck Beth, I hope it goes well.
Thinking of you.

Interesting, nice smell.. first thing that hits me is neroli and then I think mint and / or lavender. I then looked at my arm to see a violent skin reaction. Having swiped the imps ear wand across my forearm once for maybe 2 inches, I now have a raised red weal that is 4 inches by 2 inches. Needless to say I had to scrub it off in a hurry (thank goodness for aloe lotion). There is something in there I react very strongly too. Shame because it really did seem as though I would like the smell a lot.
This is the first oil my skin has reacted this strongly to and (other than with some plants, usually leaves and stems) my skin is very even-tempered. I can only assume this contains a plant I react to. I don't react to lavender or mint and haven't had previous problems with their oils or neroli.
Fascinating to see jj_j's comment about sensitive skin too. I didn't register cinnamon (but I only lasted about 30 seconds, if that) and don't normally react to cinnamon either.

Jasmine hit me as soon as I opened the bottle. On applying the Jasmine is still strong, but now I am very aware that it is cut with lemon, enough to make my nose tingle but smells gloriously like sherbet lemons with Jasmine.
I'm devastated, this dried to smell like cheap soap on my skin, it now smells horrible. I guess my body chemistry doesn't fit either.

Wishing you all Good Luck and sending loads of Positive Vibes.
Have a great break.

Cherry-touched vanilla when wet. Sweet, warm and smoky as it dries.
I acquired this from a swap and loved it so much it was immediately added to my order of larger bottles.

From the vial - Smells like almond essence, very potent.
Wet still almond essence but as it starts to dry there is a sweetness there maybe cherry, as others have said, or maybe something else. This keeps reminding me of 'Jolie Madame', which I haven't smelt for more than 30 years. I think I am catching the sweetness as rose.
Not completely dry yet and smelling of Rose, Almond and maybe very faint lemon or could be neroli or bergamot... citrussy anyway. Now I am getting a woody smell. Cedarwood or maybe sandalwood.
Dry I can no longer separate the almond smell and still can't decide what the sweetness is. It is sort of cherry but maybe apricot and I definitely smell rose, that is quite strong. The slight citrussy smell is very much in the background
What a long-winded way to say: Fruity, floral and sweet tempered with sandalwood or cedarwood and faint citrus (bergamot is my guess).
I like this a lot, but it seems to fade quite quickly.
Sort of reminds me of Queen Mab when dry

We in dark dreams are tossing to and fro...
Soft and melancholy, a poignant blend of Roman chamomile, rosewood, cypress, Rose Otto, lavender, sandalwood and ylang ylang.
Initial sniff not so nice. I caught the rose instantly, but it seemed faded, like pot pourri. After a while the scent became sharper and more pleasing to my nose. Mellows out beautifully gentle, quiet and lovely. An understated daytime fragrance. A keeper.

Haunted started off by smelling like icing sugar, then after a while lemon zest with bicarb. Sadly it didn't improve with dry-down and smells quite artificial. As weird as it sounds I could faintly smell dry soot.
This is really twisted on me and not pleasant, my skin-chemistry has turned it to lemon polish.
