  1. Quite nice! Definitely the white musk of Dorian, with fresh, light florals--not flowery, more like the breeze from a flowery field rather than the flower itself. It's not making me lust for more, my imp-and-a-half should do just fine--but it may be getting a lot of play over the summer when I'd like something that makes me feel like I'm outdoors!

  2. This was so masculine in the bottle I was afraid to try it for weeks. On the skin it settles a little, but it's still too incensy and masculine for me to really be comfortable in. I thought I got some amber (althought it doesn't look like other people did...hmm) which always sort of turns heady on me. Might be nice on a certain type of man, but not on me. Off to the swaps pile.

  3. This is my dearest love, the scent that took my BPAL virginity and the first one I loved enough to get in a full bottle. Chocolate, booze, and blood--can you beat that?? I don't get that whooshing amaretto from the rum in Baron Samedi, just a nice, calm, scrumptuous berry-wine note over dark chocolate and that spice of blood. I totally enabled my sister on this scent. I have devoted my life to trying to invent a cookie that tastes like Centzon Totochtin. Not sure how I'll get the blood note. We'll work on that.

  4. Jasmine+vanilla+musk = very happy me. :P I was staggered to find how much I liked this floral scent--it's more complex than just a sniff of a flower, it lays very nicely on me and doesn't morph much. I ordered a bottle. :D This seems so nicely blended that it would work on people who may not expect it; I know a lot of people are jasminephobic but this isn't overpoweringly floral once it hits my skin. A big recommendation!

  5. Creamy white chocolate and orange, with tons of other little notes hovering--is that a floral? Vanilla? Something spicy? This is one scent that keeps my nose pegged to my wrist. Slightly stronger than I like, but good enough that I don't care. :P I am so getting a full bottle in January.

  6. I loved it in the bottle...and then it hit my skin. In half an hour it was nothing but skin musk, that nasty note that made Umbra so horrible on me. It started out a fruity/spicy/woody thing and ended up just...unwashed. Tragic. But if you can wear Umbra or Scherezade or the like, I highly recommend it.

ETA: It also gave me a red rash when I tried it after a bath, like Tintagel. Sigh.

  7. Received my second order of imps yesterday, and after a marathon sniffing spree of all 24 imps (I couldn't help myself!!  :P ) I decided to try Follow Me Boy first.  I applied it to wrist, neck and cleavage as I usually do, and then something strange happened.  YEOW!!  I barely got the imp closed before I was running to wash if off of my cleavage.  It burned like crazy, but only in that one spot.  Very strange.  Has anyone else ever had a burning sensation from any of the oils?  I tried doing a search on this subject without much luck.

Ack!!  I just wish I knew what notes are in "Follow Me Boy" so I could figure out what I might be sensitive to.  Ah, well.  At least I can still wear it on my wrist and neck, which is good, because it really is a lovely scent.  My unskilled nose is still trying to figure this beauty out before I review it.  :D

Tintagel made my skin burn and turn red--no itching or bumps. Interestingly, Follow Me Boy is just fine.
