  1. This was the first scent I tried that I would describe as "Yummy". Because it is, it's a mixture between really good booze and a delectable dessert.

At first it smells a bit like a more boozy Dana O'Shee but as more notes come out, the smell gets richer and darker. It's creamy and sugary without going overboard.

I like this one a lot and certainly wouldn't mind a big bottle.

  2. I swear this smells like a cross between Eris and Jailbait. Two scents I love. Bewitched has the pink candy smell of Jailbait and the fruit smell of Eris. Very, very berry. In fact I hardly smell any green tea.

And this one smells drastically different on my skin versus in the vial. It's very sharp in vial but sweet as can be on wet and drydown.

This is a nice one. I'm definitely keeping the imp and I think I want a big bottle when the imp runs out.

  3. Blood Pearl is my kind of scent. I like musky sweet scents and Blood Pearl fits that bill.

It reminds a lot of Blood Amber (another one I love) but much more soft and slightly sweeter. The coconut in Blood Pearl is the dominating note, but that's ok because I like coconut. Underlying it's a woodsy musk. But it compliments well. I'm not crazy about heavy woodsy smells, and this one isn't too heavy at all.

It's a really great laid-back kind of scent. Nothing too overpowering or unique about it but it works, it really does.

I wish it were stronger but I think this one is worth slathering on. I'll have to get a 5ml eventually.

  4. So I bought a bottle off of Ebay and got a pretty good deal. I figured I had gotten Pink Phoenix, so why not try Red Phoenix?

I think I can simply summarize Red Phoenix as "Not me.". Because while I didn't hate it, I didn't really like it either.

The whole underlying scent smelt like dirt. And I'm not into the dirt, peppery smell. I do like spicey scents but more along the lines of sweet spicey.

Well I guess I shouldn't feel too bad for it not working because it had very limited staying power as well. Within an hour and a 1/2 only a hint of it was left.

It was a try and miss. But hey that happens. I'm still not quite sure what I'm going to do with my bottle, I know I won't wear it again. Eh maybe I'll swap it in the future and hopefully it'll go to someone it does fit. I'll stick with Pink when it comes to the Phoenix scents.

Edit- Eep, it wasn't cinnamon afterall! Ok so at least now I know that I don't like cassia which smells like cinnamon.

  5. This was such a promising scent in the bottle. It smells lovely, like lemon pops and a garden after the rain.

And I am not a big fan of lemon, I can give or take it. But I was beginning to like this lemon. But then I could smell some really bad underlying note. It wasn't overpowing, I could only smell it when I put my nose to my wrist but it was definitely there and not at all pleasant. It smelt kind of foody but not in that good way.

I wish I knew which note it was because I have a feeling it's probably my skin chemistry reacting badly rather than the actual perfume oil itself. I know it can't be the honeysuckle or white musk as I've tried others with those notes and have gotten nothing but good chemistry going on, and I'm almost positive it's not the lemon as I haven't had that reaction show up in any other lemon scents I've tried, even the ones I didn't like. So I'm thinking it's one of the other floral notes.

I wish this one had worked. If it weren't for that underlying scent, I think this would have been lovely on me.

This was my first Muse scent. Hoping to have better reactions to some of the others.

  6. Uncontrollable passion and insatiable sexual desire: red musk, patchouli, ylang ylang and myrrh.

Attack of the grape once again. Yuck. I can't wear grape scents. And this one smells too much like grape juice. Not gonna work.

I got enough of a whiff of some of the other notes (although I can't really indentify them) to tell that I probably could have liked this one if it weren't for the grape scent. Ah well.

  7. I wanted to like Zombi. I really did. Ever since being introduced to BPAL, I've been interested in trying this scent. And then a couple of days ago I get a frimp of it from a lab order.

On me Zombi smells like generic household cleaner. Very chemical. Nothing at all like the description. And it wasn't anything like I was expecting. Needless to say it did not work on me. So off to the swap it went. Hopefully it'll work for someone else.

  8. I had to try Snow White. It seems like most everybody loves it so I bought a bottle (2005). I was a little worried that maybe I was getting my expectations up too high.

When I sniff it in the bottle, it smells like sun tan lotion. You know, that fake creamy coconut smell? Bleh. And it smells the same on wet.

I was beginning to worry that this one turned horrible on me. It took a good three minutes or so before it changed. And wow!

So soft and creamy. It's like a floral vanilla. It really is amazing and in a way it reminds me of French Vanilla Ice Creame.

Thankfully I got to try it in time to realize how much I liked it so I had enough time to order a second bottle. Just in case.

The only thing I wish is that it was a little stronger on me. It's not weak exactly but I do have to apply more than most perfume oils to get it at a good level. But ah well, I'm willing to do that for this one.

  9. This all Starberries and Cream in the bottle.

On wet this is gorgeous. It's strawberry with a bright musk. It almost reminds me of some type of strawberry cola except not as sweet. I love this stage of it.

Drydown. Well... unfortunately that musk fades within an hour and what's left is a pretty generic strawberry smell. It smells like most strawberry candles you find. And don't get me wrong, it's still a nice scent but nothing "Ooh la-la" like the wet stage.

Many hours later it smells like vanilla. And let me tell you, this baby lasts a pretty long time.

I like Pink Phoenix, I do. I just wish that crisp strawberry musk would have lasted longer.

And you know if this weren't a LE, I think I probably would buy a bottle or two more to make candles. I think this would be a nice candle scent, after all it reminds me of strawberry candles a lot.

  10. Dublin reminds me a bit of Dorian, only more "mature".

It's a sweet woodsy scent. Which is odd because none of the woodsy scents I've tried have been sweet but Dublin is. And it works. It also lasts pretty long, which is always a plus with me.

I'm not in love with it but I wouldn't mind getting a 5ml one day. It's not on my immediate list but eventually.

  11. This one smells much the same in vial as it does on wet. Minty with some herbs. But I'm not quite sure if it's more of a foody mint or crisp, clean mint. It goes inbetween. It was quite lovely indeed.

Drydown, it definitely has more green notes coming out. But this isn't a bad thing. It still smells wonderful.

But alas I'm sad to inform that much like Dana O'Shee, this one had completely disappeared from me within minutes. I hate when I find a nice scent that has no lasting power on me. I really wish it did, because it was great while it lasted.

Ah well, off to the swap pile ye goes.

  12. This smelled way too much like strong laundry detergent on me.

I could pick up some floral notes, but mostly it's just soapy. Maybe it just didn't agree with my chemistry.

  13. Holy Citrus! That was my first thought and it stayed that way for a few minutes. All lemon.

Cut to a few minutes later and much more calmed. But still all I'm getting citrus, I'm not getting any leather or anything else.

I didn't hate Severin. But I just don't like lemon enough. I can stand a light citrus scent but not this much. I was really looking forward to trying it out, and I'm glad I did but it's simply not me.

Off to the swap pile will hopefully in the future it'll find a better home.

  14. Ok I believe I am falling in love with this scent. I bought this imp off a forum member (thank you!) and I'm blown away by how lovely it is.

I have had very little luck with the funeral oils I've tried so far. And the only other one that I have liked enough to keep the imp was Dance of Death, and still that one was only so-so for me.

The Ghost reminds me strongly of Has No Hanna (a favorite) only it's lighter and much more delicate. I've found that I'm either a hit or a miss with florals but this blend has everything right. Clean and light but still distinct. And thankfully, it doesn't come off as soapy on me like some florals that I've tried have.

Needless to say, a big bottle must be purchased.

  15. Ok so I love this one, but I don't quite know why. It clearly smells like bubble-gum and cherries on me, and no denying it either. It's not one of those perfume oils you go "Ooh what's in that?", the smell is just directly there. I'm sure if someone got up to me real close when I was wearing it, they would probably just think I had been smacking gum non-stop for the past day. But still I love it.

It's so youthful (ok I guess that one was a given) and fun. It's definitely not elegant or sophisticated. I mean it isn't a something I'd wear to a dress-up sort of an occasion or event. But yeah I've worn it a couple of times since getting the imp from a swap. Mostly to casual places like the mall or the movies.

And did I mention that I love this scent? I'll have to get a big bottle eventually because if I don't then I'll end up missing Jailbait desperately. Because there are just some days that call for a bubble-gum and cherry kind of scent. I guess I just love this for reasons beyond me. It's not likely that it'll ever be one of the oils that'll get me lots of compliments or will drive the guys crazy. But, I don't care. I just like it. :P

Update: Got a bottle. And I like it even more, smells darker somehow. I so *heart* my Jailbait. Although I was slightly taken back when it dawned on me that both Jailbait and Lolita are in my top 10. lol, think it means anything?

  16. I was surprised by how much I liked this one.

At first sniff and when on wet it smells like candyish fruit. Ultra sweet. But it quickly mellows down to a nice mixture of fruit and floral. Very soft and innocent. It reminds me of something Victorian, old-fashioned and feminine.

It also reminds me a bit of Regan only I like Le Belle au Bois Dormant more.

I'm not entirely convinced that it's "me". But I like it enough to use the imp up and put it on my "eventual big bottle" list. And I did actually receive a compliment wearing it the first day. A sales-lady commented "My gosh you smell good!", which surprised me because I didn't really think I had put enough on for anyone besides me to smell it unless they got up real close. Go figure, but I'll take compliments.

  17. I simply could not go Madrid (frimp from the lab). It has that artificial grape smell. And artificial grape (and taste too, but of course I didn't taste this!) is one of the few smells I dislike with a passion. It makes me nautious without fail. I had Madrid washed off within a few minutes. And off to the swap pile it went.

  18. I don't think apricot agrees with me. :P

I bought a bottle of this scent-untried, and it didn't work out. It's very, very bitter on me. In fact at one point, I swear I smelled a little like salad dressing. My chemistry just didn't like this one at all.

  19. I must say, Dorian was not what I was expecting. It's very sweet. Sugary, with some musk. It's nice but nothing about it really struck with me. I like it enough to keep the imp and use it but it's not big bottle worthy for me, and I doubt even that I'd get another imp when mine runs out.

It also happens to fade rather quickly on me. Perhaps if my skin amped the notes more that I'd like it a little better, but I don't know. It was certainly worth the try and it makes a nice daytime scent to wear just about anywhere.

  20. A big bottle of this is definitely going on my next order. The more I wear Kali the more I love it.

It's another one for the "sexy-sweet" category. The scent is a very nice sweet floral with slight earthy undertones. And in a weird way Kali reminds me of the beach and summer. Maybe it's because it's such a refreshing and crisp scent. But the great thing it's also not "too sexy" so it's a nice casual scent. I could see myself wearing this almost anywhere.

    Fantastic!

  21. Sugar Skull is just that, pure sugar. Warm, sweet sugar that absorbs you in.

The smell reminds me of the taste of old-fashioned candy that's almost sickingly sweet but you still love it anyway and you savor every bite.

I really do like Sugar Skull. It's a nice scent to wear on a cold day. It's not an everyday scent. I think I'd get tired of it fast if I wore it too often. It's more of a "mood" smell.

  22. When I first put this on it was very strong. Hollywood Babylon you have to put on lightly or just enough otherwise it's too much.

That being said, it's just enough of the right stuff! Sticky cherries and cola fizz is what it smells like. But wonderfully so.

I got my first scent compliment from someone not related to me wearing Hollywood Babylon. Her exact comment was "You smell so good!". And I agree, I did. :P

My next lab order will include a 5ml.

  23. I can't explain it but Blood Amber is exactly not my usual style yet I love it. I keep going back to it. I've tried quite a few new scents these past few days and I still keep going back to Blood Amber to wear.

I normally don't like such musky scents but Blood Amber works. It's a sweet musk but not the same type of sweet musk that Yerevan smells like. It's not that sweet. Not sugary sweet but spicy sweet. It's amazing.

I'll have to get a 5ml. Especially since I'm probably going to use the imp up in no time at the rate I've been wearing it.
