  1. Okie dokie, thank you for mentioning that. I figured posting a message on Facebook might offer some alternative ways of getting in contact with CS or get a message passed along to have someone look into it and e-mail back. I shouldn't have said when I didn't know for sure that that was acceptable or not. But oh well, lesson learned, I will just wander off now and place another BPAL order.
  2. I guess I'm too used to lost e-mails with Lush and seeing people having to get the gals on Facebook to poke CS to shoot an e-mail back to them. Well, and on the BPAL Facebook page... oh well, stupid idea. That's me for ya.

    International Shipping Info+Questions

Yeah, sorry, I saw that after you posted - when I clicked on the Thread, it took me to the last post and I didn't realize there were new ones above. I know it won't have tracking, but sometimes sellers send customs #'s as proof of shipment, and although it won't give you any tracking details, if it's cleared customs, and you enter it at Canada Post's site, it will say that it cleared customs. Anyway, I would still say it's not unusual for it to take this long and it does probably mean it's been held up at customs.

    International Shipping Info+Questions

Yes, it definitely could explain the delay. Typically, when I get a delay, I accept defeat and get my wallet ready to pay the customs charge when the postman drops by. However, I've had a package clear customs and without any fees, and then sit at the sorting plant for a week before it finally moved to my local post office! Canada Post is godawful. I'm waiting for a package from California from another forum member that was shipped March 2nd and hasn't arrived yet either. I think the longest I've had to wait is about 15 business days. I haven't ordered directly from BPAL before recently and haven't gotten my CnS for my first order yet, so I don't know if they give you a customs number or anything, but if they do, you might be able to put it into Canada Post's tracking system just to see if it's cleared customs yet.
  5. Ok, Wickedgoddess - I got that; I apologized. There's no need to "yell." Bill just seems to respond within a day or two so it seemed odd, and I keep hearing about people's e-mails not getting through to you, particularly with certain e-mail providers. I thought posting on Facebook or PMing the staff here, if she wasn't getting responses to e-mails, that they might be able to check to make sure it did go through or give her another e-mail or phone number to contact them at if she's having trouble... or a message could be forwarded to CS to have them look into. I guess not. But I imagine it's frustrating if you see people getting CnS's weeks after you placed your order, and you're going over ten days without a response to your e-mails about it...
  6. I think it's unusual that you haven't received a response yet. They may not have gotten your e-mail, or their response might have been spammed. I usually get a response within a day or two, and they're always really friendly. Edit - oh, I just realized your order is from almost two months ago? If you still don't get a response, I would try PMing Beth here or posting of Facebook, because it sounds like they haven't gotten your e-mail. That said, CS said yesterday that my orders from the 22nd/23rd would be shipping yesterday, but I haven't gotten a CnS yet - not sure if that's normal. Fingers crossed it went out. I just wanted to gently say that it is a better idea to contact the wonderful Bill (or me if it is regarding Trading Post) by using the Lab email instead of posting on Facebook or sending a PM to Beth. Of course the PM is quick and convenient but later when we need the ability to do research on the order or correspondence we will not be able to retrieve it. Having all the correspondence in one place is nice when we need to look something up. Oh, sorry. I just suggested trying that if her e-mails weren't being responded to, because I thought maybe they weren't going through/were being rejected by the server.
  7. Edit - whoops, wrong the Thread! Sorry.
  8. No- however, they contacted me a few days ago saying they had to substitute something, and so I chose another bottle... but then I noticed that, in the e-mail header, they said it was to replace an imp, but I had purchased a bottle, so they said they would double-check with shipping that a bottle was included and not an imp. Maybe it had to be redone. Edit - sorry, not sure if you were talking to me or Laine.

    Canada import tariffs

In my experience, with USPS/Canada Post, under $100 is unlikely to result in fees... but I also don't know how the Lab marks their packages - some companies like Lush UK are nice (and bad lol) enough to mark everything as a gift. Also depends if they're marked as EOs, perfume, cosmetics, or glass bottles, etc.

    Cheshire Cat

Hey guys- hoping someone can help me out here. I placed an order for a 5ml bottle of Cheshire Cat after getting an imp from someone on the forum. I loved it... in the bottle, it's just a bit musky maybe.. smells like there's tea and lavender with a nip of mint. There's a splash of grapefruit in the distance. But I just got another partial decant from someone, and it's completely different. It's mostly sharp grapefruit, with the other elements barely there in the background. The oil here is slightly lighter/less yellow than the other. Does anyone know if this is a difference in year, or just a matter of fresh/versus aged? I'm really hoping my 5ml will be like the first one. Note from Shollin: Since this is a review, please don't respond to aging questions in this thread. This is the appropriate place for discussion.

Who do I email with questions? BPAL/BPTP contact info

Hmm.. I heard back in about two business days. However, after that, I never received a response (it's been about two weeks maybe). I'm just assuming that they got it.

Once an order is placed, it is final.

I think it depends on how your mark the payment. If it's marked as a gift or something, for example, then no address will be required (but you also won't be able to file a PayPal claim if a person then rips you off, so always mark it appropriately).
