2017 Version
The lunar oils remind me very much of the 2004ish Lunacy scents, with some snowy notes. Really reminds me of Skadi, and Snow Moon 2005. I love it.

This is lovely. It is pure bay rum, and a small whisper of spices in the bottle.
On my skin: the bay rum is there, but the spices warm up on my skin. It's gorgeous, and I think it would smell fantastic on a guy as well.
So glad I found a fairy to get this for me!

This is lovely. It's a light scent on me, shimmery, soft white floral. The amber plays as sweet tobacco on my skin. It stays very close to my skin, but I occasionally smell it, and keep wondering, "What smells so great?".
I layered Dorian over it, and it's fantastic. I want more in this scent. Everything in this scent.

Disclosure: I'm not a patchouli fan.
But this. This is so much more than patchouli. It's soft, rounded, and comforting. I get some patchouli, but on me, there's teakwood, a little patchouli, and the vanilla is just a whisper. But it sweetens it slightly, and makes it smell creamy and smooth.
Thank goodness BB wasn't this good on me, I would have gone broke!
I will be buying more. And I'm really glad I bought the atmo spray too.

Hmmm....I wonder if it might be similar if you mixed Two, Five, and Seven with The Pool of Tears?
I grew up on the Cape, and love the scent of the beach roses and ocean. Add some fog to the mix and it's my favorite scent from childhood.

This is gorgeous. It starts with a strong blast of the lab's snow note backed by the most gentle vanilla and sandalwood. It is almost exactly like Monastery in the Mountains.
Spot on. It evokes Snow White for me, without the coconut. It's gorgeous, and I think it actually replaces Skadi for me as favorite winter blend. That's HUGE. Skadi has been it for me since it first came out. 2004? 2005?
It's that good.

The roar of the wild wind, the howl of winter wolves, the screams of night-winged crows, and the moon shining, clear and bright: juniper and white musk with white tea extract, oakmoss absolute, white lemon rind, and tobacco.
Okay. This is amazing. Everything is blended together so beautifully that it's hard to pick out individual notes.
It smells to me of old-school Lunacy notes, circa Snow Moon 2005. A little chilly, a little powdery without being cloying. Some freshness that gives me a visual of soft snow and cold air. There is also a little of the oakmoss and tobacco which just softens it without being overpowering.
Buy it. Or two. Seriously. -
I love this. Honey does ugly things on my skin, so I initially didn't smell this.
Well, the honey is a background scent. The apple is a red, juicy apple. It's amazing in a bath, and gorgeous used as a moisturizer directly on the skin.
So happy I got this. -
My ultimate snow scent was, and is, Skadi.
I broke out my old Skadi the other day (because I have two on the way to me) and it is heaven. I'm trying to control myself and not buy all the bottles this year.

I've been spraying this at work because I find the irony amusing. It's not my usual type of scent, but it has totally grown on me.
I get dark resins, patchouli, and maybe some leather.
If I had to describe what this smells like, I'd say it's how Viggo Mortensen's Aragorn smelled in the Lord of the Ring movies.
A sexy brooding man who has dark secrets.

Wet- still aquatic but more depth...not oceanic or salty but made me think of deep murky blue/green water.
Yes! Deep murky blue/green water. I also get a touch of silt, which could be sandalwood.
It starts out cologne-y, reminding me very much of my favorite Airs incense Blue Nile. I haven't seen it in years, so it makes me happy.
Then I get the deep water. It's strange, it is aquatic-y, but it's definitely fresh water on me. There is something underneath as well, it could be herbs, but it is very slight and I can't put my finger on it.
It reminds me of swimming in a pond from my childhood. I really like it, and it is very relaxing to me.
-
Mary Read. The whole time I was in St. John (USVI) the air smelled so good. When I got home, it was the scent of Mary Read. Seriously.

You need this. Even if you don't think you like Snake Oil.
I don't have a bathtub, so I put it on after I get out of the shower. It lasts and lasts on me. And it smells good. Not just my opinion, a boy I was rolling around with stopped, sniffed my neck and told me, "You smell good."
Get your minds out of the gutters!!!! We were just kissing. But anyway, just like Ondine said it's sex in a bottle.
-
I think I've said this before, but Cytherea is a dead ringer for Skinny Dip on my skin.
-
Sweet, bright apples. Some fall foliage.
Just lovely. I'm hoping that the apple won't morph into potpourri. It goes from gorgeous apple to potpourri with each sniff.
Please stay apple!

Boo
in Halloweenie
Oh, Boo, why do you hate me? Where are the cotton sheets? The sugar?
No, you just leave me with spoiled cream on my wrist.
I had such high hopes for you.

This is very interesting.
Wet: I get honey and chestnut.
Drying down: Sticky, oozy honey (yum) and some chestnut.
This ends up slighly smoky honey on me and is gorgeous. On me, it smells like the honey from Lush's Honey I Washed the Kids. And that's a good thing.
Definitely a bottle. A nice surprise, glad I tried the imp!
-
Wet: Blonde tobacco and honey.
Drying down: Slightly sweeter, the tobacco is starting to echo tobacco flower, and the honey is smoothing, rounding this out nicely. So far it's behaving on my skin nicely, and not becoming nausea inducing. (I love it, but usually the Lab's honey note doesn't love my skin.)
Verdict: Very nice, it might be a touch too floral for me. But yet, I can't stop huffing my wrist.....
-
I get the mahogany and teak, and it smells like beautiful burnished wood. I get a hint of cigar smoke, but it deepens and adds to the woods. The patchouli and all the rest is so wonderfully blended that I can't distinguish them, and the vanilla adds a slight softness to it that keeps it from being harsh.
Buy it, you won't be sorry!
-
This is a hit! I get fizzy floral notes, with the vanilla orchid smoothing it out.
Plus, if I spray it before bed, I find I sleep better!
-
I love this. It stays pretty much the same on my skin wet to dry. I get the pink musk, which behaves beautifully, some sugar and it is grounded with some incense. It lays very close to my skin.
I took a chance on this because it sounded gorgeous. I was nervous because red musk turns overwhelming on my skin. Mme. Moriarty won't play nicely on my skin, and I was afraid Lilith wouldn't either, but it is fantastic.
So glad I got two bottles, I will be slathering this, I might need another bottle.....

Hmmm...guess this pretty much answers my question about the Perfumed Court too....here is where they are selling decants.I wish I hadn't supported this business, but too late now. I won't, however, buy again.
I'm pretty horrified about the price---48.00 for eight imps?????

Wow!
Wet this is a mix of tart granny smith apples and macintosh apples.
First dry: cold, icy, almost mentholy over apples and light floral. (The coldness makes my nose tingle, but I'm weird and I like that)
5 min: White florals over icy tart apples.
10 min: ozone & light tart apples.
Final: ozone, very light florals and the apple is there, but not as tart as it was, it's softer and a little sweeter.
**Now I'm getting the glass. It reminds me of the glass scent from House of Mirrors, but instead of amber, it's glass with apples.
Wow, this was a quick morpher on my skin. It stays appley throughout, but everytime I sniffed my arm, there was another note emerging. I got this today and couldn't wait to get home so I tried it at work. I'm sure my co-workers are wondering why I'm huffing my arm.
I'm so glad I was able to get this, what a different and cool scent.

The description sounded lovely, so I had to try it. I've had bad luck with cream/caramel/honey because they amp and become burnt sugar.
Not here! Wet it is cream and floral, and a little honey.
Dry: Ambery caramel.
Just lovely. It doesn't amp, it stays nice on my skin. I'm very pleased, and a little surprised!
A 2 bottle oil.

I wasn't sure this would work on me, since dragon's blood and honey scents tend not to. And fresh Snake Oil doesn't work nicely with my skin.
But. This mix is lovely on my skin. It's a smooth, slightly spicy Snake Oil on me. So glad I got it.
