Not a fan of this one. It has a bitter powder thing going on that just makes me want to blow my nose. I totally agree with Tawaen's "ugh!".
Thankfully I sprayed a bath mat that I could toss in the wash so I didn't end up sneezing every time I walked into the bathroom.
-
Wet it was strong on the spice. warm and sweet with a barely there hint of the leather.
As it dried though the leather came out to play. Hot, sexy, spicy, sweet, leather. I want to just roll around in this scent.
Even my husband who is notorious for his dislike or indifference to perfumes said "That's not bad". Then proceeded to sniff my wrist a couple more times before confirming that he didn't mind that one at all.

It started with a nice clean musky floral, after drydown though it turned in to death by primrose and jasmine. So many wonderful scents ruined by what my body does to those notes.
Why oh why does my chemistry hate so many of the florals I love out of the imp?

For the first 30min. or so I,t was a light incense with that sharper metal Scent I love. Unfortunately I started amping the incense and it overwhelmed all the other more complex notes.
I had planned on trying it on my husband because I suspect he would smell fantastic in it, however he started sneezing the minute I got near him with the imp. *sigh*

When I first opened the imp and put it on I thought I was going to be in love. Soft flowers and night in early summer.
Sadly as it dried it turned to powdery grandma. Not baby powder but the nose tickling body powder older southern ladies still coat themselves in. If only it had stayed that first flush of cool flowers.

It smells like an old fashioned chest rub my grandmother would smear on me when I was sick as a child. Pine tar and camphor. On one hand it reminds me of her taking care of me as a child, on the other... Phew!
Sorry bpal this one is not a winner for me.

I'm looking for something for my husband. De Sade is delicious on him but all I have is a tiny imp. He wears dkny be delicious ( the green one) but he finds it too sharp sometimes. Any suggestions on similar scents? He also doesn't alter scents much so good out of the bottle is usually good on him. He has a tendency to be picky about scents so we have to experiment a lot.

I get slightly sweet aquatics. Pleasant but not my thing.
However on my husband its warm wood and smoke and smells wonderful.

In the imp and wet- Super sweet and strangely artificial smelling.
On dry down- Becomes a wonderfully spicy, honeyed floral. There's just enough jasmine to give it a vaguely fresh floral smell and the cinnamon makes it smell warm and inviting. A sexy soft scent.

Revenge, at first though sweet, Bitter ere long back on itself recoils.
Author: John Milton
Source: Paradise Lost (bk. IX, l. 171)
To me this quote exemplifies this scent. It starts very sweet and boozy, like red wine or dark berries. After a few minutes I could smell subtle bitter green or a smokey dark incense under that sweet top note. The wine and fruit stayed dominant with that touch of dark bitter hiding under the surface.
This scent makes me think of a woman's revenge. I like it and I usually don't care for boozy notes. I hope they give us some big bottles to order even though I think it would be a scent that might make some nervous.

Inspired by and created for my beloved Tedwin: my eternal, beautiful, wicked Dorian Gray. Refined, elegant, and lovely, with a noble bearing and seemingly gentle air. This blend is an artful deception: a sweet gilded blossom lying over a twisted and corrupted core. A Victorian fougere with three pale musks and dark, sugared vanilla tea.
Sadly as much as I want this to work I have just reminded my self why I didn't like this the first time I tried it. As soon as I put it on it becomes lemon furniture polish on my skin. After a while the vanilla comes out a bit but the furniture polish smell is still overwhelming. -
This starts out very green in the bottle. After having it on a few minutes the notes blend into a crisp green apple and fallen leaves smell. Reminds me of early fall in an apple orchard.

Wet- heavy resin and wine
On- heavy sweet incense and wine. Reminds me of one of the new age shops I frequented when I was younger. Interesting but not something I would wear much.
-
In the Bottle- Very floral with a hint of musk and evergreen.
On- The primrose and violet kills everything at first. After about 15 min.I start to get hints of musk and something cold but the primrose and violet is still way to strong on me. I wish I could smell more of that musky cold but alas, no.
Pretty enough but not to my tastes.

I'm going to be playing in a Changeling: the Lost LARP soon and I'm playing a character heavily inspired by Odette from Swan Lake. So essentially the concept is a swan princess type character. I am looking for a very wispy, ethereal scent. I'd like to stay away from anything too heavily vanilla scented. Nothing too sweet either. Just something clear and soft.
Any reccomendations?
Try dove's heart. or maybe phantom queen

In the imp strong floral with a musky undertone.
Wet Strong on the rose and amber.
Drydown turns to rosy baby powder.
After about 15 minutes I'm glad I waited it out. The powder fades and I get a sophisticated Musky Rose, with the faintest hint of leaves and amber. Makes me think of some thing Victorian ladies with good taste would wear in the early fall.

This was an extra in a swap I ended up liking better than the swap item.
In the imp it was harsh, green, and hot smelling.
Wet Maybe cinnamon and either pine or eucalyptus and something earthy I can't place.
After dry down, it turns to hot scorched earth and ashes. Molten lava and metal.
It's different but sexy and primordial, I think I may need a big bottle.
Edit to add that it LASTS over 12 hours and I still get the occasional whif from my wrist where I put a tiny dot for testing.

Hmmm, I'm a very dark brown to auburn with a natural streak if bright silver. I usually wear leather and metallic(robot scarab), or the autumn harvest scents (Harvest Moon, Samhain). I'd never really thought about using hair color as an idea for things to try though.

This could be beautiful on some one else. Unfortunately on me it becomes something I can only describe as hot, buttered perfume. Cream and lotus is a bad combo only skin. One for the sell/swap pile.

Dark mud with pools of still, green water. The smell of live mosses and full bodied florals are the heaviest notes in this one. It carried well, one little spritz on a sofa pillow made the whole room smell for two days. Even with the strength it wasn't overpowering even freshly sprayed.
I hope this goes to production because I wouldn't mind my living room or office smelling this way all the time. And my squirt is nearly empty, don't make me wait to long for a new fix.
