I am wearing the 2010 version today and I want to eat my wrists. I definitely smell like a gingerbread cookie. So amazing.

In the bottle and wet, this was very sharp. The tart, tangy-ness of the mulled wine seemed to overpower everything.
As it dried, that tartness faded a bit and it smells warmer, which I guess is the marzipan coming through.
It's a very bright, juicy scent. It's kind of making me thirsty!
Definitely keeping this one and maybe buying a bottle.

In the bottle and wet on my skin, it reminded me a bit of Elegba with the rich brown sugar-y scent.
That faded a bit on dry down and some of the other notes came out to play.
Now, after about 15 minutes, it's more waxy than anything else. I'm not sure if it's a keeper.

I'm another one who is getting the anise/black licorice from this. I liked it wet and on the initial dry down, but as time passes, I seem to amping the musk (I think) and it's taking over.
Not sure if I'll keep this one.
ETA: decided to do an all day test on this. man, the throw is impressive. my carpool buddy commented on it immediately when I got in the car this AM. She said that all she can smell is the musk and leather and compared it to Old Spice.

I loved gingerbread poppet and I expected to love this. The reviews made me a bit nervous though.
For no reason! I did love this but in a totally different way.
Wet, it was very bright and ginger-y. Much lighter than gingerbread poppet.
On the dry down, the citrus-y ginger tones down and the vanilla, marshmellow creme and spices come out but in a softer, less dense way.
Definitely loving this.
