  1. In the bottle- clove and vetiver

wet- clove and vetiver. The deep vetiver almost takes a chocolatey note, but it's like someone spilled coco powder in the dirt. Alas, I do not get the cherry, or vanilla, or wine. This is earthy vetiver and sharp clove

  2. I do like this scent. After application, it had a plasticy sugar note, much like plastic pink flamingo, but once that fades, it is actually really similar smelling. Plastic pink flamingo smelled like straight pink sugar, but this one smells like blue sugar with creamy marshmellow. Yum!

  3. Does anyone know where I can find a review of past Banned in Boston?

I have googled it, BPALed it, and I can't find it.

i thought it has been offered before. Anyways, I ordered it, and I know this one may smell a little different but I would love to read reviews of past BiB

    Thanks!

  4. I just got my botlte of this today, and totally forgotten I had ordered it LOL

In the bottle- I smell all of the notes. A sharpness from the bitter dandelions rounded out by the honey, and a little tartness form the currants

Wet- Same. It is a really pretty scent!

Dry- This did not morph on me much. It just mellowed out a bit. A soft little floral that melds so well with the rich sweet honey, and the currants keep it fresh.

Overall, I really like it. I may not wear it all that often, but it will definitely be brought out for warm weather. It is very fresh, and I have never smelled anything like it before!

  5. In the imp- sharp, ripe, fresh pineapple sweetness, rich custard with creamy butter, and a little tartness from the currants

Wet- Like a mild Cockaigne, with a touch of pineapple

Dry- Same. The rich spices have calmed down some tho. It is like a pineapple upside down cake that has just cooled. A very foody scent, but still very wearable. I don't know if I will buy a bottle of this one, but I may collect a cpl imps!

  6. This is one of my top 5 favourite scent for sure! In the bottle, it is sugar vanilla with the clean fresh scent of cotton

On my skin, this doesn't morph a whole lot- it just warms up a little. Still a bright freshness from the cotton, but it just becomes.....warm and lovely. I don't know whether it is the cognac, tobacco, incense, or musk that does it. I suspect it is the tobacco and cognac. I DO NOT wear musk well, and thankfully this does not turn into pure musk like other scents with musk do. I don't care for musk AT ALL. This, however is amazing! It is a lovely warm weather scent. I suspect this will age veeeeery well!

  7. I just got an imp of this fresh from the lab.

In the bottle- yup, exactly as described! Bread and rich butter with tea and cream and sugar. YUM!

drydown- strange, but almost a licorice smell. Licorice tea perhaps? Ick

dry- odd. floral and herb soap

I wish this one hadn't morphed so much. If it had smelled the same dry as it had in the imp, I would have bought enough to bathe in it LOL

The scent is nice, but too soapy/floral on me. I am glad I got the imp, and will keep it to see if it ages well, but as of right now, I will not be buying a bottle of it. I hope it stays around long enough for me to purchase in a year if it ages well! I really want to love this one!

  8. Cockaigne......omg....cockaigne!

To me, this sells like sugar and spice, and everything naughty

Like snickerdoodles fresh from the oven, but you don't smell like a cookie. Vanilla and butter and sugar, with a warm note. Like cinnamon, REAL cinnamon, but not as sharp, but it makes me feel nice and warm like amber does. As soon as I get the rest of my imps and get a bulk order ready, THIS will be on the top of my list. One to wear now, and probably one to age too LOL
