  1. I haven't gotten around to trying Snake Oil just yet, so I have no frame of reference for that particular scent, but Green Tree Viper is a completely different creature from bottle to skin. In the bottle, mint mint mint. Really nice, subtle changes, and I'd definitely say I can pick out at least two different mint notes, but that disappears quickly after application to skin, where it becomes musky/spicy, which I can only assume is the Snake Oil.

It's not something that I'd generally go for, but I do really like this. I just wish the mint stayed for a little longer.

ETA: randomly, after a night's sleep, the lovely musky scent is still there, and I love it. Maybe this means I should spring for some Snake Oil.

  2. Like a lot of other people's experience before me, in this scent the other notes are Jan Brady to lavender's Marcia ("lavender lavender lavender". No? Okay, okay, that was a bit lame). After a while, it goes rosy, and slightly shampoo-y. It's still lovely, but given that I was drawn in by the promise of some lime and mint, a bit disappointing.

  3. I ordered this at the behest of a friend from the Philippines, who, after reading the description, said, "lol we don't smell anything like that". But anyway. In the imp this was really, really sweet. And while normally I don't like that, it reminded me of bubblegum (but bubblegum gone... evil), which I definitely had a fondness for.

Sadly, that went away almost as soon as it was applied on skin, and within ten minutes left me with a cooked banana smell. On the bright side, the throw was good, and it lasted for a long while.

  4. One of the two frimps with my first order that I absolutely adored. I could sniff this all day – gorgeous and sweet in the bottle, and that carried over to my skin. It dries a bit... dry, I guess, particularly on my wrists, for some reason, with a clean soapy kind of feel, but it's been constantly pleasantly floral on my neck, which I catch a whiff of every once in a while. Will definitely be getting a bottle.
