If you are on the fence with this one, push yourself off it and buy it. The lavender hits hard at first but within an hour it is mellow, golden, and perfect amber with only a hint of the lavender left. If you have just received a bottle, let it sit. I did not like this the first day I got it. Now just a few short weeks later it is in the running for one of my faves ever. Will be buying a back up.

2017 version: I am disappointed. I expected the scent of blown out candles with a creamy finish. I got a very flower-y scent - no beeswax, no smoke.

On the bright side - if florals are your thing, you will like this version. There is a ton of throw and a ton of staying power. I could still smell this on me after washing three times and using rubbing alcohol to get it off. So if you like a creamy floral, HH2017 is for you.

I get apple-y smoky vanilla from this with just a hint of something floral. Totally a win for me.
