in Neverwhere
I was really excited to try this! Unfortunately I couldn't smell anything, in the vial, wet or dry on my skin. Nothing. I guess it off to swaps!

Definitely evergreen in the bottle.
Wet on skin: Evergreen and spices.
Dry on skin: Warms up with some honey but still spicy. It smells a little bit like spice carnations to me.
Verdict: I really like and will wear it a couple of more times before I decide on a bottle or not. I bet this scent will age really well.
-
In bottle: Super green and sharp!
Wet on skin: Ahhh, freshly picked green tomatoes and still very sharp.
Dry on skin: It's softened a bit and smells like clover and tomatoes. An interesting scent but I don't know if I can go through the green sharp stage every time I wear it.

This is very, very pretty. I thought this was what O would smell like.
In bottle: Smells a bit greenish.
Wet on skin: Spicy for me.....cinnamon and clove.
Dry on skin: Now the coconut comes out and it's not quite so spicy anymore. The licorice comes out in a little bit as well. I love it. It's very warm and sexy without being too sweet.
-
When I opened the decant and first sniffed I immediately thought of Altoids. Which I love.
Wet on skin: Peppermint with maybe a little citrus or lemon or lemon balm?
Dry on skin: And.....it's gone. Disappears after about five minutes on me which is too bad because I was really liking it!

I received an imp of the from a decant circle.
In Bottle: Spicy and yummy. Warm.
Wet On Skin: Yum, spicy patchouli, pepper and clove.
Dry On Skin: It has settled a bit but still strong and spicy. Lots of throw, this one. I love it and will be purchasing a bottle. I like to layer this with Pink Mood.

I was frimped this from a decant circle.
In the bottle: Meh. Honey? Sandalwood?
Wet on skin: Meh.
Dry on skin: Meh.
Didn't love it, didn't hate it....perfectly nice scent but didn't stir me either way. On a side note, I tested this and then went out to do some yard work and the bees wouldn't leave me alone....they loved it!

So I bought a bottle of this, unsniffed. Unfortunately when the package arrived the bottle was broken! It was my very first BPAL order. Boo! Fortunately I could tell I loved it and kept the box around to huff it occasionally while I waited for my replacement bottle.
In bottle: Cake, sweet delicious cake.
Wet on skin: Cake and vanilla and a little berry maybe?
Dry on skin: Cake and perfume...in the best way possible. Like if you went to a super fancy bakery and they made cake with frosting made out of fresh flowers.
Bottle worthy for sure!

Frimp from the lab.
In Bottle: Very, VERY woodsy. Like a camp fire.
Wet On Skin: Smoky, patchouli. Like hippies sitting around a camp fire.
Dry on skin: Now it smells like a camp fire made of pencil shavings.
Verdict: Not for me. I can smell the vanilla and maybe the coconut but it's just dirty patchouli for me. I might use this as a room spray but not on my skin.

In imp and first wet, this smells like a cleaning solution on me. Much less herbal and citrus than I expected.Unfortunately, drydown didn't offer much more joy. Carpet cleaner on me. Yucky! Up for swapperoos.
YES! This smells just like carpet cleaner on me as well.
-
I was gifted an imp of this.
In bottle: Yum....black jelly beans!
Wet on skin: Black jelly beans and vanilla.
Dry on skin: This has softened into a really amazingly beautiful scent. Anise, vanilla, and something soft and yummy. It made me feel so frisky that I bought two bottles of it. The hubs is pleased.
-
In bottle: Fresh and green! Like herbs drying out to use.
Wet on skin: Fresh greenery. Maybe some cedar?
Dry on skin: Ew. I once had a stray cat that came in a pee'd in my fireplace. That's what it now smells like. Cat urine and smoke. I'm going to have to wash this one off.
Verdict: Not for me....off to swaps!

The essence of the most debauched hunger encapsulated into a perfume. Desire beyond love, anguish beyond sanity. Nutmeg, sassafras, black poppy and myrrh.
This was a frimp from the lab.
In bottle: Sassafras! I love sassafras so I eagerly slopped some on.
Wet on skin: Sassafras and slightly medicinal.
Dry on skin: Hmmm...something has happened. Something nefarious. It now smells very medicinal, like a dentists office. And clove cigarette. Like someone is smoking a clove in the dentists office. It's made me feel tense and anxious (the smell of a dentists office always makes me feel like that.) At the same time, I feel slightly woozy and high. Ugh. This is just not working for me.
Verdict: Not for me so it's off to swaps. -
I had a really hard time picking out individual notes in Dorian. What I do know is that I love it! It had great staying power, too. I applied it at 6am and it was still going strong when I got home from work at 4pm. And I work at a dog kennel so I really put it to the test! This is definitely bottle worth and will be purchasing a bottle soon!

In imp: Rosey and buttery.
Wet on skin: Buttery cake and a little bit of rose.
Dry on skin: very pretty, the rose is soft and normally I don't like roses. The buttery cake is still there but it's settled down quite a bit.
Verdict: Bottle worthy! Not like Eat Me at all. Eat Me is more floral and foody but Knave Of Hearts is definitely roses and foody.
-
In the bottle: I'm not sure what it smells like. Something slightly medicinal?
Wet on skin: OMG it smell exactly like Necco Wafers! I love Necco Wafers.
Dry on skin: Necco Wafers and roses.
Verdict: I like it!
-
OMG, I love this stuff! It smells earthy, fresh and slightly floral but not too much. Super refreshing and bright! I'm purchasing two more bottles soon.
-
I bought a full bottle of this, untested. I just had a feeling...
In the bottle: Green apples! Yummy green apples that you'd make a pie out of.
Wet on skin: Apples and something lurking behind the apples...dark and mysterious.
Dry on skin: It's softened and become very feminine and yet very noir. It's ridiculous how much I love this scent. It immediately became my signature scent and I'll be purchasing a back up bottle soon. I wear it to yoga and it sets just the right mood for me.
-
In bottle: Spicy apples!
Wet on skin: Caramel apples and hot buttered rum. Yum!
Dry on skin: Settled into hot buttered rum, and it's delicious!
Verdict: If it was still available, I'd buy it.
-
This was a frimp.
In the bottle: Musky, warm and masculine.
Wet on skin: Holy crap! It smells smoky and medicinal. Like burned medicine.
Dry on skin: It smells exactly what I imagine Nightcrawlers' "BAMF" would smell like. Smoky, burning....brimstone?
Verdict: Not for me at all. As much as I really like Nightcrawler, I don't want to smell like him when he's BAMF-ing in between dimensions.
-
In bottle: Warm, spicy and something.....maybe a really soft mint?
Wet on skin: Head shop.
Dry on skin: Totally smell like a clean hippie.
Verdict: Once this dries down a bit it settles into the honey, musk and amber that I was expecting. Not sure if I'll keep it though. The scent totally reminds me of every head shop I've ever been to.
-
This was a frimp from a sale.
In the bottle: Herbal, green and plum?
Wet on skin: I'm getting a little lemon, some fruity floral and wood.
Dry on skin: It smells like a cherry wood box that has had incense stored in it.
Verdict: Not for me. It would smell really good on a boy and I think I'm going to use it as a room freshener.
-
In bottle: Floral and green
Wet on skin: Super strong floral, maybe the wisteria? Definitely a bit soapy.
Dry on skin: The soapiness is gone leaving rose and wisteria. Sweet and musty is right.
Verdict: A little too traditional floral of a scent for me. Would make a great room freshener.
