    The Dormouse

I found this to be a very fresh, crisp, light, subtle scent - perfect for work, especially in the spring or summer! Unlike the other BPAL scents I've tried so far, The Dormouse on my skin (both wet and dry) was very true to the scent in the imp: tea and peony. It lasted for four hours or so but didn't have much throw, which I would say is the only drawback. All in all, a very simple and clean scent. Definitely consider buying a bottle!

    Pride

Pride definitely smells like, well, pride. It's very dashing but still feminine. In imp: Mostly rose, but the narcissus is present - a sharp, clean, slightly sweet, almost bitter scent that manages to smell wonderful, although intellectually I have no idea why. Wet on skin: Absolutely heavenly. The narcissus is much stronger, and complements the rose perfectly, so it's not too sweet or cloying. This is a very green rose. It reminds me of The Body Shop tea rose essential oil, which I love. I don't think they sell it any more. Maybe this could be a replacement! Dry on skin: Not as good. The rose becomes sweet and the narcissus loses its astringency - altogether, a much more powdery scent. Darn. I think I'll sample some more BPAL rose scents before deciding on anything, but of the ones I've tried so far, this is the best. Unless I find a rose I like better, I might get more of this.

    The Unicorn

I had high hopes for this one, since I love the idea and the description. In imp: sweet and white. I can smell the linden blossoms. Pretty, but not phenomenal. On skin: On me, this turned into sickly sweet, cloying, waxy cherry candy! Or maybe cough medicine. Horrible. Anyways, it lasted for about three hours. All in all, I was very disappointed with this scent, and will definitely not be getting more. Oh well.

    Dirty

In imp: Something floral (probably the plumeria everyone's talking about). I also smell something similar to White Rabbit which must be the linen, and which is not what I thought linen would smell like. Oh well, it's still very nice. On skin: Wonderfully clear and light, while still managing to be warm (I think someone else said that too, though). Unfortunately only lasts 2 hours on me. I really like this one and I think it will grow on me even more. It's a great everyday/daytime scent, especially for summer. I will definitely use up the imp, and it may even be bottle-worthy.

    Two, Five & Seven

In imp: Fruit and rose in about equal strengths. I think the fruit is mostly apples and a little lemon. This was a bit disappointing since it wasn't what I thought millions of squished rose petals and grass would smell like. On skin: When the oil was wet and while it was drying, the fruit completely pushed the rose aside. In fact, although the smell still managed to suggest rose, it seemed (as my cousin put it) like it was apples and lemons pretending to be rose. Afterwards, rose came to the fore and the scent became very pleasant. The combination of rose and fruit suggests wet, rotting roses to my mind, which is a pity as I love the concept. Even though I liked the end stages of the perfume, there are so many other good rose scents out there that I don't think I'll be getting more of this.

    White Rabbit

In imp: sweet and creamy, with some kind of sharp, astringent background, maybe from the pepper and ginger. I was expecting this to be less sweet, which is weird because I knew that the description had honey and vanilla. I suppose it's because the concept doesn't seem like the scent should be that sweet, at least to me. On skin: Essentially the same as in the bottle, at least until it was completely dry. Then linen became stronger, although all the original notes were still a significant presence. It had a quite good lifetime of 4 hours on me. White Rabbit seems to have the same feel as Dirty and The Dormouse. This is a very unique scent. I will be using up the imp. I don't believe I'll be getting more, but I wouldn't be surprised if I do, as it seems like White Rabbit could grow on me quite easily.

    Bewitched

In imp: Strong herbal scent - definitely sage, and maybe pine, even though it's not listed - with blackberries evident in the background. Very unusual, but pleasant. On skin: The herbal notes gradually fade to reveal a really nice sweet blackberry. Lasts only an hour or so on me. This is a very pretty scent - definitely a "purple" kind of scent. I'm not sure if I'll buy more, but I'll definitely be using up my imp!

    Morocco

In imp: Sandalwood and something like vanilla. My (emphatically) untrained nose can't pick out the carnation/cassia/spices, but they are probably responsible for the vanilla. On skin: Initially, strong sandalwood with the rest of the notes in the background. This is wonderful - dry and dusty-sweet and exactly how sandalwood should smell. Later, the "vanilla" sweetness gets stronger and as the scent dies, vanilla is all I can smell. Unfortunately, on me the throw is not very good and it doesn't last as long as I'd hoped (2 hours?). This is a lovely, lovely scent. I will definitely be getting a bottle!

    O

My first imp set EVER finally arrived!!! So here goes my first post: In the bottle: Searingly sweet - must be the amber. I can't smell honey or vanilla at all. On skin: Initially, I still only smell the amber. After it dries, honey gets stronger, along with a teeny bit of vanilla. While still sweet, it's much softer and not as cloying. Smells really good, actually. Lasts a really long time, as others have mentioned - as in, until the next morning. I can't decide if I like this scent or not. It seems a bit "grown up" for me, not to mention overly sweet. On the other hand, my cousin put some on after mine wore off and I kept grabbing her wrist to sniff it, so it's clearly very compelling! If I do get more, it will definitely be for evening use only.
