  1. Wet: fruity cough syrup

Transition: bubblegum and cough syrup, with a hint of something nice in the back but it's quite hidden

Dry: the sweetness calms down but it is still very cough syrup-ish with a bit of soap

Verdict: Yuck! I don't think I like my skin. I've only found one scent that works consistently on it and this was not it!

  2. Wet: I don't remember but I think it was mostly the same as dry.

Dry: wood incense a lil green/sharp aging may be good

A while later: mostly smoky wood, a bit sweet

Verdict: I like this one, but I think I'll put it aside for a month or two and see if it's gotten better. Oh and I need to try on the S.O. as well!

  3. Wet: eucalyptus, mint, hint of floral

Transition: much the same as wet

Dry: the floral turns a little soapy but not in a harsh way, eucalyptus is a little less strong, the mint is strongest

Verdict: It's a refreshing sort of scent but not really my thing. I wonder if it wouldn't be a more pleasant alternative to Vick's Vapor Rub when sick?

  4. Wet: bitter and potatoes earthy starchy,

Transition: touch of sweetness, floral a bit "bitter" but very potato-y

Dry: I just can't get past the smell of potatoes, the florals are a bit too sweet for me too.

After a while: bitter florals, the sweetness and eathy notes are in the background but less dominate.

Verdict: The name is fitting but this is really not something I want to smell or smell like.

  5. Wet: oh god bug spray with perfume :thud:

Transition: lets see... rose, slightly vanilla and oh ya and lots of bug spray!

Dry: bitter, sharp, weird, still a bit of pesticide scent and strongly of chemicals

Throw: I'm guessing far, I'm typing and the scent is just below my wrists but it smells like this is coming at me from all directions! Like the room is filled with the strong odor of scented pesticides! (of course I may have applied more than I meant to)

Once again the bit on my fingers from opening the imp is somewhat nice but too sweet and department store perfume-ish

I washed my arm, luckily it is now a bit like rubbing alcohol as opposed to the other chemical smell. I wish I knew all the notes in this, because if I encounter this again I'll want to know what to avoid. So I can avoid it like the plague. :ack:

  6. wet: rose musk barely pick out the mandarin, sandalwood in the background but sharp rather than smoky

dry: baby powder very sharp smelling greenery? musk and id I sniff really really hard slight tinge of wood and sweetness

verdict: I don't know if I'd like this on anyone else but it doesn't seem to turn out well on my skin

Note: I spilled a drop or two on my finger and that area is very much smoky sandalwood and a tiny bit of sweetness. I adore the scent of smoky sandalwood, even if I prefer it mixed with other things. I'm not going to keep this just to wear on my fingers though, lol

  7. Wet: sandalwood? This isn't the type of sandalwood note I covet. It is cut wood but not smoky. Something sweet hidden in the background? This is quite pungent, overall.

Transition: almost smoky a bit sweeter maybe it's vanilla?

Dry: very smoky wood, sweetness possibly vanilla is still hidden in the background, I'm only picking out the two notes which aren't blending well and seem to clash

A while late:r sweetness is more present with a tiny bit of creaminess but the smokiness is still to strong even for me.

Verdict: I would say it is masculine but unless it is more complex on my guy I won't be keeping this. Oh and on me at least this is in no way arousing!

  8. wet: floral very tart berries, green not terribly sweet and rather nice

dry: kinda strong and turns into a dryer sheet smell which wasn't bad at first but all the complexity has vanished now. No more berries and I really have no idea what heather is supposed to smell like.

verdict: not awful but not good

  9. Wet: floral strong, clove, nectarine not sure about the others

    Transition: nectarine and clove, bitter

Dry: clove dominates with a fruitness next and only the sweetness from the floral, very bitter almost sour too and clovy with the sweet, blahh

  10. Wet: Mmm, a tiny bit soapy but pleasant just a whisper of the sea, light subtle florals

Transition: more sea and just a bit soapy. It goes a little sharp, florals are nearly gone.

Dry: The sharpness left. I wish the aquatic was just a teensy bit less strong so I could still smell the other notes. There is something really alluring underneath but it can't quite make it all the way to the surface. I guess the name really fits, eh?

A While Later: soapy but in a nice warm clean but floral way, not a harsh soap smell, slightly aquatic still but now it's in the background.

Verdict: I think I'll hold on to the imp. Good for smelling fresh and clean at any rate, but not really bottle worthy.

  11. Wet: wine and patchouli??

Transition: dry wine sandalwood , jasmine with a hint of rose, I'm not sure if I smell the myrrh

Completely Dry: I still smell the patchouli foremost followed by the floral. I think I might like this one once it has aged though. I haven't smelled aged patchouli yet (I don't think so). I am also curious if the florals will become more grounded by the sandalwood with age. So not for right now, at least.

A While Later: slight sweat smell joined the mix

Much Later: Sandalwood mixed with Sweat, yuck, and of course the sandalwood part washed off but not the sweat smell.

  12. On my significant other:

When wet the Oberon has moldy, starch and a bit of a sharp cologne smell on him.

Once dry the smell calmed down but still isn't what I would call pleasant.

I can't imagine this one suiting me either, it goes in the reject pile.

  13. This review is from trying Othello on my guy, not myself.

Wet: I smell baby oil and flowers with only a hint of musk. It's too feminine he says, "I smell like a floral arrangement."

Dry: It became subtle and less feminine now still a bit floral but now he says it smells "like an antique store" specifically the polyurethane. It does seem a little chemically to me, and I get the laundry soap thing to an extent. It reminds me of a cheap laundry detergent still in the box not of fresh clothes.

Verdict: I didn't particularly like this one, although it's better than some others we've tried on him. Someday I will find something that works with his chemistry, someday... It didn't seem to fit him or to stir any desires, little throw. So I might try it on me some time but it's not what I was hoping or looking to find for him.

  14. Cocoa butter vanilla, later it's almost fruity but not quite, it's foody and very sweet but yummy, but I prefer to eat the yummy stuff not necessarily smell like it. I'm undecided about this one but I'm leaning towards the decision that it's a little too sweet for me.

  15. In the bottle (well imp): berry vinegar

    Wet: drunken perfume

Dry: perfume (or what I always thought perfume should smell like) a classic, complex, feminine in an adult fashion.

This is a perfume I could imagine an classic era Hollywood actress wearing (Myrna Loy, perhaps?). I'm not sure it is very me, I like the touch of sophistication though. I also think it is more of a daytime or a sophisticated evening scent then a night-out-looking-for-danger siren scent. It isn't my true love or anything but I think I just might get a bottle of this.

Second Try : Overly fruity and sweet with a hint of cocoa, same imp. Blahh

  16. Wet: astringent sharp with wood almost out of reach

Dry: smoky, overpoweringly so, a hint musk I think (I'm still learning to pick out notes), then the tang comes in to play but still no sweetness spice or complexity to it

Conclusion: So far I am disappointed but I'll try to remember to give it another chance at a different time since my skin chemistry varies a bit.
