  1. This is a wonderful scent. When it first went on it was a very tart lime with a very bitter top note which I didn't care at all for (probably the bitterness of the dark chocolate). After half an hour or so that faded and it transformed into a beautiful, sweet sugared lime and stayed that way for hours. Delicious.

  2. To me this starts out smelling exactly like Chance by Chanel-- my signature scent from high school, so I absolutely love it. It's clean and sharp and watery and just beautiful. If only it would stay like that on me. It very quickly turns into pure dove soap on me. :cry2:

  3. I was nervous about this one having had several people tell me it turned into sour milk on them, but it just sounded so good that I had to try it.

And I like it! In the bottle and wet it's pure sugary fruit punch like you'd get from minute maid or juicy juice. After a half hour or so the fruit punch get really creamy and yummy and smells like a tropical drink. I'm not much of a foody, but I like this a lot. It'll be great in the spring, I think, and just when I want a light, playful scent.

  4. If I had a boyfriend, I would force him to wear this scent every day. The way it came out on me would have been dead sexy on a guy. It'd be like one of those axe commercials-- I'd be glued to him. But, alas-- I'm not a guy and I don't have a boyfriend (right now) and so I'm going to have to pass on this one. For me the leather came out as the strongest note and it was absolutely delicious. I was almost like smelling the warm leather jacket of a guy wearing my favorite scent of Axe. I couldn't stop smelling my hand it smelled so sexy. I just don't want to smell like a guy, so I'm trading this one.

  5. Wet: Strong, sharp eucalyptus. Not my favorite scent.

Dry: Pine. Pure and simple and real (not fake pine like an air freshener). It reminds me of getting pine sap on my hands (which I get all the time in New England). If I lived somewhere where I wasn't surrounded by pine trees 24/7 I might like this scent, but to me it just makes me feel like I've been working out in the woods or on a Christmas tree farm and gotten sap all over me. This one will be traded. It's a beautiful scent, just not right for me.

  6. This is one of my new favorite BPALs. When I first put it on, I couldn't smell anything and I thought for sure I'd want to trade this imp, but after an hour or so it just blossomed into something beautiful on me. I like sweet, but I'm not a big fan of really foody scents. This was a light, milky sweetness (reminded me of condensed milk) mixed with florals. I didn't get any of the fruitiness like some people are describing. It's more flowery for me. Definitely getting a full bottle of this.

  7. I don't really think this scent is for me. It smelled like clean laundry to me, but was much too light. Everyone else got baby powder, though. I accidentally spilled 1/4 the imp on my dresser and my mother walked in and asked me why my room smelled so strongly like baby powder. I then followed her to the kitchen and had her smell my wrists and she said that was the baby powder smell. It's nice and clean and not a bad thing to smell like in any way, shape or form, it's just not full-bottle worthy for me.

  8. The 2009 Version

In the imp: Just general spicy

Wet: Overly musky and a bit unpleasant

Drying: Now the incensy smell is starting to come out. It's pretty strong and smoky, but just a bit sweet. It smells very... Eastern Orthodox. Close to the Catholic incense I know and adore, but a bit smokier, spicier and more exotic. And very strong. I slathered this on my neck and for over an hour I felt like I was standing right under a smoking thurible. Definitely not one for slathering. Which is good-- that means it'll last longer! ;)

Dry: This is where the magic happens. It mellows out a lot, but is still prominant for five or six hours after I put it on. It sweetens up a lot on me and starts to smell exactly like the incense I remember so fondly from my Catholic days (unlike most former Catholics, those memories are all very pleasant ones for me). To tell you the truth, this strikes me more as an Eastery scent than a Christmas scent. Maybe it's just because my parish used more incense at Easter than they did at Christmas-- I don't know. I just get more of light and spring and renewal than a dark, cold winter. It's absolutely beautiful, though.

Definitely my favorite bpal so far. I may need a second bottle of this. Or a third.

  9. In the bottle: Cherry Nyquil

    Wet: Strong cherry liqour

Dry: Surprisingly, after an hour or so this reminds me of the Yankee Candle Macintosh Apple scent... Weird, I know. It's not a bad scent-- it's light and clean and crisp-- it's just odd as a perfume.

  10. Got this as a frimp in my last order.

In the imp: too strong for me to smell anything from it. I didn't even get the cinnamon-- I just got nauseous.

Wet: A dark, woody cinnamon-- more like a dirty, charred cinnamon stick than a piece of cinnamon candy. Not repulsive, but not my favorite smell.

Dry: After about 15 minutes it just really started going gross on me. This is sort of what I'd expect a cheap Philles cinnamon cigar to smell like after it's been rubbed out in an ashtray-- burnt, ashy, cigary yuck. And the worst part is I can't get the smell off of me. I took a shower until the water went cold and used two kinds of powerful Lush soap and I can still smell it.

  11. When I first smelled this from the imp I thought it smelled disgusting and immediately closed it, but luckily some got on my fingers when I was opening it because a few minutes later it morphed into something sweet and woody and delicious. So the next day I decided to wear it and was just wonderful. It went back and forth between smelling like a sweet wood and just strong sugar and it lasted all day with just one application. Definitely one of my new favorite scents.

  12. In the imp: a nice, light rose. Very light and clean.

On me: I guess my skin just drinks this scent up. I slathered it on, using almost 1/3 of the imp, and I'm still having trouble smelling it just a half hour later. It's a pity-- I really wanted this one to work, but it's just way too light for me.
