  1. Out of the imp it's appley acetone.

On wet, it's all crisp clear apple, very sweet. I don't get any whiff of the nuts that others are getting, I was hoping they would show up to warm up the scent, as it's very chilly.

Dry, it's pretty equal apple and pomegranate, red berries now, in a very artificial way, like smelling hairspray.

Not what I was expecting, unfortunately going to have to pass on this one.

  2. I expected to like this, seeing how I like foody scents. Berries and vanilla, how could it go wrong? However this was not what I was hoping for.

In the bottle it smells of vanilla and cherry, not bad.

On my skin it takes on a tangy, sour, plasticky cheesecake scent with strawberries. The cherry disappeared.

I'm not wanting to smell like plastic cheesecake. Pass.

  3. I wanted to order this one just based off of the name. Psychological culture bound syndrome? Hell yeah. Then when I realized it had plum in it, I wanted it even more. I love fruity florals and orientals.

This is super sweet, cavity inducing, sugared plums, making me think of twirling pink ballerinas in The Nutcracker. Then, after a few minutes, I can make out the orchid and daffodil slowly emerging until it almost balances the plum. The white musk never makes an appearance, which I was kind of disappointed by because it's my favorite musk. This is a gorgeous blend, very girly and innocent.

  4. In the bottle: Nail polish remover, made me a bit scared to try

On wet: Hello plum, I'm not able to make out the raspberry or pomegranate, which made me sad as I love those too, but the plum is awesome. There is also patchoulli, which my skin tends to amp and I'm not normally a fan of, but this was a perfect balance of 50/50 smoky patchoulli with the plum. There is a slight woodiness from the mahogany. I'm sitting at a mahogany table, with my mom burning incense at her shrine and there's a bowl full of perfectly ripe plums as the centerpiece.

Drydown: Slightly creamier and softer, but still keeping it's beautiful plum patchoulli vibe. This is sexy in a bottle, and I find myself reaching for this more than any other scent this winter.

5/5 The throw is amazing, only a small amount is needed, and the scent lasted all day. Love.

  5. Really loving the coconut, not white meat, more like clear warm coconut juice drank straight from a young green coconut. The hazelnut adds a delicious warmth, and the iris remains lurking quietly in the background, adding a nice subtle floral dimension. I adore white musk. I think of this as a "clear" scent that does have a bit of an aquatic feel. This makes me want to be stranded on a desert island. Sexy, exotic, subtle...must have more. :D

    5/5

  6. Mmmm, Creepy = deliciousness. Crisp, fresh apple with caramel. The first time I wore it, I smelled separate notes, at first very buttery apples, then at times a plasticky caramel note, then it would become sugar rolled apples. But the times I've worn it since have been really consistent, just caramel and apples in equal proportion, it's a happy comforting scent I found perfect for wearing on Halloween.

  7. In the vial I smell all lilies. Very nice.

On wet it goes sharp and heady for a minute, which is almost too much for me. Luckily, this phase does not last long.

The honey starts to peep out, and the warmth and softness is fantastic. Pretty and sunny.

Dry it becomes powdery, but not baby powder, sweet floral powdery. I can't stop sniffing my wrists, this is pretty. I'm so happy I found a lily that did not turn soapy on me. Keeping this imp for sure. Wish the scent did not fade so quickly.

  8. In imp: Very strong lavender with sharp mint.

On wet: Medicinal, herby, hints of peppermint tea, sharp lavender is still there

Dry: All mint, but softer now, definitely picking up on the toothpaste others have mentioned.

Do not like as a wearable scent, but would sniff if I had a headache, as I think it would provide some relief.

  9. I got this as a frimp, and had never tried a dirt scent before, and was very surprised that I liked it!

In the vial and when first on, it's really strong dirt, then after a minute, it's starts warming up with with a sweet creamy vanilla, giving it a softer feel. Mmmm, vanilla dirt combo is very nice.

What's this now, patchouli? Uh oh, patchouli dries down to baby powder on me. Yep, after it dries down, I can still smell some of the dirt and sweetness, but the baby powder ruins it. :(

  10. Oh I like this! Creamy spicy, warm, sexy. The musk is really strong in this, and I really like how the sandalwood complements it. Then I get more of a softer floral in the dry-down, but with the spices still present. I do believe this is one of my top ten.

  11. Damn, this is sexay!

    In the Vial: Cherry cordial

On Wet: I'm being smacked with cherry, and it is indeed in a dark, black cherry, that makes me want to eat black forest cake. Mmmm.

During dry-down: The rosewood is warming this up, and bringing back memories of a hand carved dark rosewood dining set my parents had brought back from Korea when I was little. The chairs with their curving backs shaped into grape bunches hanging on vines. If I lay my head on the table, this is the scent that I would get, a dry, ancient odor, which makes this a bit more masculine.

Dry: The musk is amping now. I'm not really making out the white musk, which is a favorite of mine. Nope, this is red all the way for me, and it's a sultry smell, that's so close to the skin now, only someone burying their face into my neck would be able to make it out.

    Genius.

  12. Oh dear, straight from the vial all I got was green Palmolive dish soap. On, it stayed very soapy. I'm not sure which note is the culprit, probably the lilac or violet. Such a shame, as I love floral scents, some just don't agree with my chemistry.

  13. So glad I ordered a bottle of this. This is divine baked red apples with warm spices and creamy milk. I was hoping to wear it on, me but once wearing it, I decided it works much better as a room scent, as it is a bit reminiscent of potpourri or candles. This is getting heavy usage in my oil burner this fall. Delicious!

  14. Mmm.. what a pretty floral. Unfortunately, I don't get much of the honey or milk, just a hint of creaminess to the spicy carnation and innocent soft rose. Upon the drydown it does turn a bit powdery, which is what keeps me from buying a 5ml, but I will definitely use up my imp.

  15. Oh, how I wanted to love this one. In the vial I was able to smell the pear and lily mostly. I discovered that when lily hits my skin in turns very soapy, then the rose amped, so I got rose soap smell. I really need to stay away from lily scents.

  16. Deliciously warm and creamy, loving all the notes in this one. The milk and honey dominate the scent on initial application, then the ginger becomes stronger on the drydown, and lingers longer than the creamy notes. I love this scent, but sadly, it does not stick around for long, not even an hour.

  17. Pele is a warm, soothing, ethereal scent. I love the soft florals and ginger together, it wears very close to the skin. I have no idea what muguet smells like, but whatever it is, I like it. The lasting power is very short lived, however, so would need frequent reapplication.

  18. Oh, sweet nectar of the Gods! Out of three orders of imps, this was the one that I knew at first sniff that I needed a full bottle. The sweetness of this is so intoxicating, I can't stop taking deep whiffs of it. This is going to be perfect for spring or summer. A very warm apricot, surrounded by the most gorgeous orange blossoms, and the lightest touch of musk. I do find it only last a few hours, then needs to be reapplied. Definitely my favorite scent so far. I envision the orange blossoms drenched in the apricot nectar, and hot summer days where I want to lounge in a hammock.

  19. This smelled like strong vanilla extract and oddly enough I also picked up the patchouli others had metioned. I didn't get any notes of currants or cake. Not at all what I expected. I love foody scents, but this one wasn't for me. The throw is very strong and lasting power is amazing, lasting pretty much all day. The dry down was a bit powdery.

  20. I adore the mythological story of Persephone and love pomegranate scents, but was a little worried about the rose in this scent, because it's hit or miss on me. This turned out to be a perfect balance between the two scents, with the tartnes and sweetness of the pomegranate complementing the deep rose well. It has very good throw and lasts for a good five hours. A little goes a long way with this scent. Full bottle worthy.

  21. Oh, how gorgeously this is blended. I love fruity florals and this does not dissapoint in the least. I mostly make out the sugared pear and snapdragon with the grape way in the background, all of the other notes add this white-spring green aura to the scent, without being discernable individually. As it dry's down the musk starts to peek through. This will be perfect in the summer time, as it's a refreshing sweet scent. At times it verges on too sweet, but beautiful from start to finish. This does not turn powdery at all, as some florals can, I only wish that the lasting power were longer, as it is only a couple of hours.
