  1. At first, I'm confused and I think it's a light floral scent but it's not.  This feels like a nice summer blend.  Cardamom really leads the way and is supported by a light bouquet of resins.

I get mostly Cardamom and a husky vanilla that is not overly sweet more dry.  It reminds me of the color of a cardamom pod mostly because I'm mostly smelling cardamom throughout which is nice. I love Cardamom!

  2. Rogue

Hippie love nostalgia.  Hemp magick.  Before you know you'll be learning macrame and permaculture.  Utopian and delicious. More suede than leather to my nose. Softness. Kind of disappears, just like all my ex boyfriends 😥 then lingers just like all of my ex boyfriends 😖 smells way better too 😂

  3. The standout of this blend is for me the tobacco flower. It provides a smoky soapiness with a hint of green. I love tobacco flower this reminds me a lot of one of Fresh's colognes for men aptly titled "Tobacco Flower" ;) . I wanted to slather that over every man I knew, and myself. Sadly that was discontinued and very HTF so this blend is my new BF.

The sandalwood is very light and the patchouli I would never even suspect to be in there. On my skin the tobacco flower, vanilla and sandalwood are the standouts and the dry soapy factor of the tobacco flower mellows out maybe 10 minutes in. The drydown is beautiful, not overly sweet. I can see how this would make a fantastic unisex blend.

This does remind me of Black Lace w/o the cotton note which goes sour on me. They have a similar vibe but this is my fav.

  4. I second the mention of Snake oil and dryer sheets. I find this combo of Snake oil and florals a little unsettling. On my skin is mellows to a chalky resiny floral that is not my fav of the Snake Pits. The drydown an hour into the scent is kind of growing on me though.

  5. My first impression of this was that it was very sharp and green smelling. This rounded out to a soapy smokiness within 5-10 minutes. I found that the cypress and rose in combination remind me of cleaning products and soap shops. Unfortunately, this is one blend that has really given me a headache.

  6. This is a great coconut blend and probably my favorite that I've tried so far. Tiki Princess and Ashlultum turned sort of plastic-y on me but this blend perhaps tempered with a cool iris and white musk scent is truly lovely. It surprised me that hazelnut was in this blend. That note is usually a no-go on me but in Black pearl it seems to bring out the creaminess of the coconut note. This sort of reminds me of an improved version of Black Coconut by Auric Blends, Black Pearl being more complex and less sweet.

This is definitely a perfect lush coconut scent for spring/summer. It's longevity is unfortunately less than I'd like it to be but I think it would be perfect for warmer weather when you want a coconut scent without too much sillage. I want some. :wub2:

  7. This was an epic fail for me as it didn't remind me of any of those beautiful sounding notes. Once applied on my skin the oil smelled slightly musty and vaguely spiced. I couldn't get any vanilla at all! This reminded me of the smell of a book left out in the rain for a month; it had an overwhelming sweet moldy paper smell. I'm guessing the cardamom may do this for me because other blends i've tried that contain it (crib girls) have done the same thing.

  8. smells like pastilles soaked in white musk. It's a fresh cool lavender with a serious powdered bleach edge. I want to like this but something about it gives me a headache. It does dry down super musky, muskier than my other white musks have.

This reminds me of Ultraviolet and an oakmoss/violet perfume by DSH called Veridian.

  9. This blend is great. Coconut is the most prominent at first. It's not overly sweet like most coconut oils I have tried. It has a rich coconut milk quality to it that is complemented so well by the flowers. They are a thick waxy bouquet of tropical lushness. I've found that my favorite day wearing Tiki Princess was a hot 94 degree afternoon. It blooms so well in the heat! Also, I notice in the dry down a very nostalgic 'my little pony' sort of 80's toy scent that is a tad plasticky. Sometimes this happens, sometimes it does not... maybe it depends on how my skin is reacting that day. I kind of dig it though.

  10. This is definitely the closest bpal to a bbw or a light fruity/floral commercial scent. It smells like lemonade and hard candy. There IS a striking resemblance to a watermelon jolly rancher. That comparison is spot on. I don't get too much rose but I do smell a light sweet pea scent in here. All in all I do like it but I wish it had more depth.

  11. I bought a year old bottle blindly and impulsively off of Ebay after reading great things about it. I've been looking for a blend like this for so long. The Harp didn't work on me, it turned dry & dusty and then disappeared. Inez is by far the best vanillic blend I have tried. It starts of with an almost buttery spiced cookie feel at first. It's a little vanilla and a little spice but not over the top like Sugar Cookie. The cedar adds a grounded woodsy factor. It is subtle but it doesn't disappear like most vanilla blends have on me (ie. The Harp, Regan). It's a little bit of an awesome morpher too. There was a solid 5 minutes where I smelled the plastic vanilla scent of My Little Ponies on my arm. Then she morphed back to gorgeous light amber vanilla spice. Usually amber goes powdery on me but something keeps it from doing so. The notes just all work so well together.

Sort of reminds me of Shub Nigurrath with the creamy spice factor but I think Inez is lightyears prettier.

    * Just smelling my arm now hours later I still smell a faint trace of Inez and it reminds me of Chanel Coromandel! Also a favorite of mine. So awesome.

    I  Inez

  12. It starts out with a medicinal sinus clearing note like tea tree? eucalyptus? or camphor? then fades into something part creamy flower, part dark earthy mysterious wooded forest, part magical garden dirt.

  13. Received this as a frimp from the lab. Probably never would have tried it because ALL of the other roses have been problematic for me - too dirty - too sour - too rose geranium-esque - This one is awesome

I tested this without even reading the notes and then wrote down my scent impressions :apple skins, fresh berries, rain in trees, white rose, grass, meadows, crystalline sugar, rose otto, lipstick, magical and transportive like a powder puff. dewy and so so nice.

Ha :) yeah i love this

  14. When I smell the bottle I barely smell anything. It is so incredibly light. When I put this on my skin I smell a spicy floral, slightly ambery rubbery vanilla. Sometimes when I freshly apply it I get a feeling of sweet pipe tobacco being smoked 100 feet away from me. It's very subtle. Actually, it's so subtle, it's barely there. Did I get a weak batch or something? This is the first BPAL I've worn where I can't smell I'm wearing it mere minutes after I put it on. When I huff my wrist, though it's a beautiful comfort scent. I wish this was louder, a lot louder because I would love to amp the **** outta this. Grrrr. Wonder if it'll get stronger with some aging and settling? It's seriously like a quarter of the strength of every other BPAL I've ever tried. Maybe I'm just immune to this one. Weird. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

  15. sniffing the imp it smells caramelly, buttery and unwashed skin. Not what I expected. This changes completely once it's on. I'm enveloped with a beautiful edible smelling lilac, vanilla warmness. To me it smells like freshly crushed lilacs warming in the sun. There is a slight green-ness to this scent that makes it feel very light and fresh. It never gets cloyingly sweet or too foody with the vanilla because of this. Penis Admiration feels like it is perfect for spring/summer use. Unfortunately I don't smell very much wood. The llilac is a real loud talker in this blend and maintains her volume through the dry down. I still love this blend though and I hope I can see some other elements of Penis Admiration shine with a little aging. :D

  16. Personally, I didn't get positive feedback from wearing Mme. Moriarty there was somewhat of a medicinal twang on me. From what I've read of her liking a clean but not too soapy musk I'd recommend : Torture Queen or Embalming Fluid. Torture queen has a really beautiful vanilla musk and a sparkly crisp cleanness to it. Embalming Fluid I think is an all around crowd pleaser too and has a little more fruity tartness.
