Salty water and a hint of booze.
It's the smell I describe as "low tide" when my wetsuit has contaminated my car with an oceany, low tide smell.... except this has been passed through a filter and cleaned up to actually smell good.

This is such a lovely blend of red musk and gentle spices. There's a hint of floral and something sweet laced in there though. That "sweet" note, whatever it is, is almost a turn off if I focus on it, but the scent as a whole is great and very interesting for it.

Confusing is a good word to describe this blend. There's definitely aquatics in there, but floating around there are hints of florals, and sometimes they aren't as prominent as the mint. It's like... soup... made of clear water, flowers, mint, and a few other ingredients floating and bobbing around. Somehow it's bubbling water, but definitely not hot.

This is a lot gentler and a lot more floral than the other Ars Draconis blends. This smells a lot like the honeysuckle we used to have growing outside the front door of the house I grew up in. And "Reverie" is such a fitting name for it, since it does seem slightly dreamy and slightly thoughtful.

I get a gentle incense note that is layered over something darker. The description of the scent is perfect. There's definitely something sinister lurking there among the swirls of incense and flowers.
-
I'm getting a lot more of the florals than the woodsy notes, which are kind of lingering there in the background, contributing but not dominating the scene. It's actually a really pretty scent, with a very light shadow cast over the flowers.

Bright and crisp aquatics, with perhaps a hint of grapefruit and sugar on top of it. The grapefruit/sugar combo reminds me of those jelly candies coated in sugar. Except that these are soaked in sparkling clear water. And really, it's not an overly sweet scent, that's just what it reminds me of. I really like the light, crisp, brightness of this blend.

This is a bit heavier than I had anticipated. It's got a touch of golden light, for sure, but there's also a very woody, incense-y quality to it. It brings to mind an image of light full of dust floating about.

Very crystalline and light. It's a lovely, delicate scent that I'd almost classify as ethereal. It's definitely floral, but not overly so, and I'm bad at distinguishing the individual notes, but I'm guessing plumeria is in there somewhere?
-
This is an amazingly dark and murky scent. Also, I'm totally getting tobacco from this one. It's not in the listings, but I can smell it. Maybe it's the vetiver or civet?
-
Reading the scent description, I can now pick out the dominant note: cypress! It's slightly toned down though, which is probably due to the ginger. I don't get much of the rose, though there is a slightly "dried flower" smell in the background, but I do get the patchouli. I like the darkness and depth to this blend. It has a little kick, too.

I get a very rich, cloying, and decadent floral. I think there's gardenia in there, which goes slightly sour/sickly on me. It's got quite a bit of throw to it, too. It smells much brighter and cleaner in the imp than on my skin.
-
I get primarily beeswax, though there's a little bit of the frankincense in there. But yeah, mostly beeswax.

I can't tell if it's the dirt or the dry leaves, but I'm getting a very spicy-earthy scent from this one. There's a hint of something sweet and vaguely floral in there, but it's mostly got this unidentifiable (to me) bit of dirt+something interesting. I'm loving it, and keep spraying it over my bed before I go to sleep so my pillows smell of it.
-
On me this blend starts off very much sensually rich and intriguing, then slowly begins to morph into more of an earthy scent. It's an interesting progression. With the other components, the rose takes on such an interesting smell.

A Latin word that means to sigh or draw a deep breath, that also suggests longing, desire, yearning, and a passionate wish. Ylang ylang with white plum, white orchid, jasmine, calla lily and lily of the valley.
Delicate dew-covered lilies!! And then there's a nice layer of ylang ylang laced through the lilies and around them, almost blending in. It's a nice, soft scent that's very pleasing and has pretty good throw. -
In the imp I get a lovely blossom scent, but on my skin the perfume just disappears. If I sniff really hard, I can pick up a little bit, but for the most part it's just... gone.
-
Oh yeah, herbally, and medicinal. Not surprising, but I'm not really a fan of the hint of antiseptic that I get under this perfume. It really does smell like I'd imagine an old Apothecary full of herbs and spices would smell.

Undeniably floral, but a bouquet of more delicate-smelling flowers than overpowering ones. And it has the best undertone of lush green foliage, like a greenhouse full of exotic flowers, humidity, and everything's just been watered.

Bayou
in Wanderlust
Right out of the bottle it's a really nice floral scent... but then bam! Something goes bad and it's like the Bayou's all full of trash suddenly. Something just smells rotten and ucky on my skin, which is sad because I was hoping for a rich green scent.

It's violet with pep! And awesome pep at that, that gives the violet a bit of a spicy and exotic flavoring. The incense note isn't too overpowering at all, it just adds nicely to the violet base.
-
I'm getting florals and musk, almost a bit on the stuffy side with the combination. I wish I got more of the pepper that others are picking up. It stays pretty close to my skin and has only a little bit of throw.
-
I really like the combination of sandalwood, amber, and patchouli. And in this blend the three are very nicely interwoven with a dark red sweetness. It's not foody, but more of a floral sweet.
-
I'd say that this is a heavy scent, but at the same time it's not the florals that are heavy. The florals are a lovely wafting scent that mingles in there with all the components and plays nice. The weight comes from the incense. At the same time, I wouldn't say it smells overly incense-like. It's not like a shop where the scent of many kinds of incense is overpowering, but it's a mild and dignified incense. And then there's the smell of slightly aged wood but not overpoweringly so. I find it most interesting though that the overall perfume itself is "heavy" but when I concentrate on the individual notes they are light and not terribly dominating.

Yeah, that describes this scent. It's a lovely rich spice that lingers over my skin and has this sexy, sultry feel to it. It's definitely slow and lazy, not going anywhere anytime soon. I can't stop sniffing at it -- it's just awesome spices and smoke and sexiness. Must get a bottle!!
