    Grandmother of Ghosts

I'm getting florals and musk, almost a bit on the stuffy side with the combination. I wish I got more of the pepper that others are picking up. It stays pretty close to my skin and has only a little bit of throw.

    Midnight Kiss

I really like the combination of sandalwood, amber, and patchouli. And in this blend the three are very nicely interwoven with a dark red sweetness. It's not foody, but more of a floral sweet.

    Gothic Horror

I'd say that this is a heavy scent, but at the same time it's not the florals that are heavy. The florals are a lovely wafting scent that mingles in there with all the components and plays nice. The weight comes from the incense. At the same time, I wouldn't say it smells overly incense-like. It's not like a shop where the scent of many kinds of incense is overpowering, but it's a mild and dignified incense. And then there's the smell of slightly aged wood but not overpoweringly so. I find it most interesting though that the overall perfume itself is "heavy" but when I concentrate on the individual notes they are light and not terribly dominating.

MINTS! And then there's the bergamot... and the tea. Making their appearances late, but now they are all there and present. The mint is definitely first and foremost the dominant note (and I think it is making my skin tingle a little, in a happy sort of way). I really like that distinct smell of tea... I'm not sure what it is but it's sort of a dry earth/herb hybrid or something. Anyway, it really balances out the mint and keeps it from smelling like, say an after dinner mint. I wish the bergamot were a little stronger, because it ends up smelling like mint tea, but it's still a delicious and pleasant scent.

    Polyhymnia

I'm getting a lovely delicate floral at first whiff, but then it deepens as it's balanced out by a faint herby spice smell that is equally delicate. And then, at the very tail end, with a bit of concentration, I can pick out a hint of lemon.

    Zombie Apocalypse

Red jelly and sugar. That's exactly it. But it seems more like there's a mixture of extra sweet red jelly over which confectioner's sugar has been powdered. I don't know why, but I totally think of powdered sugar coating when I sniff my arm. Now I feel like eating something sweet and sugary...

    Kabuki

This smells like sweet, sexy maraschino cherry and then once it's got you in its seductive grip it pulls out a delicate dash of star anise. I could eat my wrist, it smells so damn awesome.

    Alice's Evidence

HELLO THERE PLUM. Layered over that initial BURST of plum, I've got lovely spices, like a fresh potpourri bouquet. I really like that mingling of spices with a hint of something flowery in there.

    Cthulhu

This smells masculine to me with a hint of cologne. There's also some definite cleanness and brightness there (sunlight on the water's surface, perhaps?). But mostly it smells like aftershave or men's cologne.

    Bordello

This certainly is a deep, rich perfume. I'd say more that it's a greeny, jungle-y scent than anything. It's moist, green, luscious, rich, and dark. It's like silk for my olfactory receptors. I get mostly the wine/boozy scent when it is in the imp, and more of the black currant and plum when it is on my skin. And seriously, yum!

    Mantis

Discontinued? Ack, no! *hoards imp* This scent is so lovely. Sure there's a hint of citrus in there, but there's also a pleasing herby-floral smell, right about in the middle of that spectrum. And the patchouli and neroli and golden musk are just an amazing combination. *sniff, sniff, sniff* Mmmmm....

    Gore-Shock

As soon as I opened the imp I was blasted with something familiar. I put some on my wrist and took a sniff and couldn't believe it. It's a freaking PEANUT BUTTER AND JELLY SANDWICH. I could smell the peanut butter, I could smell the jam (strawberry?), and I could even smell the wheat bread. Then it just morphed into something ucky like a PBJ gone bad. Real bad.

    Eternal

Light, bright florals! Nothing too heavy, maybe a touch of "tropical" to it. Overall a nice, lovely blend perfect for the summer.

    Psychological Horror

To me this smells like Old Lady. It's a sort of musky, almost sickly floral perfume -- mid 20th century sounds about right! That "something not quite" note is all I'm getting, because something about this one just doesn't smell pleasing to me. It's almost claustrophobic in a way and whereas others seem to find it tranquil I find it anything but.

    Jazz Funeral

Fresh on my skin it smells a little boozy, a little cologne-y. But then it opens up and becomes a very green scent. And then the magnolia blossoms and becomes something heavenly, tempered by a touch of earthiness which I guess is the moss and graveyard dirt, though I don't smell either of those on their own. Now and then I get a whiff of the booze, though it's more like booze that has dried on the table and left a residue than a fresh shot of rum.

    Alien Invasion

I'm getting bright fruits and greenness too. There's definitely a bit of citrus, but some other fruit is taking the edge off... I tend to think of citrus as having a bit of a "bite" to it, and that's gone here. It seems lightly sweetened, but with some other fruit rather sugar.

    How Doth the Little Crocodile

I get pure chocolate mint, and it is YUMMEH. I've worn it a few times and sniffed my wrists quite a bit, but I don't pick up any of the other notes.

    Twinkle, Twinkle Little Bat

I get melon and light tea and a dash of lime. It's yummy without being foody. It's such a playful and light blend, perfect for summer, and one of my new favorites.

    Azathoth

Something about this combination of notes, which I'd ordinarily love separately, has spawned a monster that smells of tobacco/cigarette smoke.

    Faustus

This was surprisingly pleasant. It's this lovely warm mix of light florals and a touch of spice with a background of dilute incense. Over time it gets a little more spicy

    Tissue

This was a generous gift from the awesome tartchef. I was excited to try it and put some on, and got nothing but pee. About an hour later it's calmed down and I get lightly floralled honey. But that initial phase has turned me off. I'll be saving it to surprise someone else with who will hopefully enjoy it much, much more than me.

    Plastic Pink Flamingo

I didn't really think I was going to like this one, because I'm really not a fan of sweet smelling blends. They tend to be a little too syrupy for me, and when I opened this imp I was hit with a blast of syrupy marshmellowy sweetness. But I still wanted to try it, so I put it on, and it stayed sweet. But then it started to dry, and the dandelion really came out. When it completely dried, it was like there's this faint haze of sweetness layered over the dandelion and a greeny sap. I'm starting to think I may need a bottle of this. And as everyone else has said, it's a very pink scent.

    Morocco

This is very a very dry scent, more like an arid desert than anything. I get a faint whiff of the spices, but it's like they've been eroded away by the desert winds. It's a pleasant scent, but it's not really exciting me.

    Belladonna

I love the pale green color of this oil, though the smell is anything but pale. It's this green scent alright, but there's something darker and sinister there that's not afraid to make itself known. It's like greenery that's not so much lush, as it is starting to die, if that makes sense, but I mean that in more of a visual rather than olfactory way.

    Danube

Oh my, this is such a lovely scent. It's this great blend of flowery water, like fresh petals floating on a crystal blue river.
