  1. Once more an imp I recieved with an order...

In Bottle: Overwhelmingly woody to me. I detect no florals at all. Truly it smells like a walk through the ceadar dunes on Sandy Hook.

On shin: On dry down the woody scent disappears, but the musk predominates. Again, I get no florals at all.. Nice enough I guess, but I may hand off to hubby.

  2. I ordered this as an Imp, since I was looking for rose scented items. In the bottle I found a very floral scent, with a hint of the Vanillla brightening things up.

On skin, I am getting mostly floral. Gardenia I *think* but some Jasmine as well. I really am not picking up any of the Tea Rose or Vanilla any more. Nice scent, and I'll probably keep it in mild rotation. :)

  3. Very Odd.. Got this as an Imp with a recent order. Wet, it's very citrus-y but when it dries... I think it's kind of spicy, but the hubby claims it smells like an Easter Basket: sugary, slightly chocolaty and an odor of Easter grass....

  4. Wet, I can't describe ths smell. I am not getting the floral that everyone seems to smell. Once applied, some of the aniseptic smell dissipates, and I do get a bit of the violet smell. After a while though, all I get are the musks and sandalwoods. I guess my skin chemistry encourages that! I may get another Imp to decide if I *really* like it, or if I just want to try another scent...

  5. This was among my first order of Imp's ears.

Wet: The patchoui really dominates the perfume for me. I really did not get any of the sandalwood, which upset me, as I am *not* a big fan of patchouli. But being named after a most infamous female pirate, I HAD to order. <G>

On the skin: on teh immediate drydown, the Patchouli was still pretty strong, but after a little while on my skin, the Sandalwood came to dominate the scent. I get very little of the Frankincense and Patchouli at all. While Blood, Vice and Poisoned Apple turned out to be my favorites from this particular order, I do like the Anne Bonny, and will probably order a full bottle in the near future.

  6. A vital, bold scent, throbbing with sensuality. Essence of dragon’s blood resin, thickened with myrrh and cherry, with a trickle of clove.

This was one of the first scents I got in my pack of imp's ears from BPAL. I was concerened about the scent in bottle, as the clove really produced an aniseptic, catch in the back of the throat scent, that I did nto like, and teh hubby hated.

Luckily I persevered, and on dry down, that clove just dissipated on my skin, and what was left was a wonderful, thick, complex scent blend. The hubby likens it to the mixed smell of incences in a "New Age" shop. It's now become his favorite, and I just ordered a full bottle. :)

  7. This was part of my first BPAL order, and out of the bottle was not sure what to make of it. There was a *very* sweet note in the imp and I was afraid that it would be too candy-like on my skin.

Well I needn't have worried. The scent is wonderfully complex and musky on my skin. I do still detect a touch of sweetness, but it is *much* more subtle than my first impressions. I relly like this as a grownup, exotic scent.
