  1. I didn't like this, it's very strong chamomile, which I appreciate for it's calming benefits, but honestly it isn't what I would like a for a perfume. There's a vegetable kind of smell to it also. I might wear it to bed to see if it helped my poor sleep.

I'll also second a slight paint note in there.

  2. I had been looking forward to this for ages. It's fresh and pretty in a clean kind of way. I have trouble with this picking out individual notes. Mandarin perhaps dominates the first few minutes, but it soon becomes a well mixed fruit-ish but not sickly fruit perfume with a hint of violet. I wish I could be more verbose about this, as I love it a lot.

Worth a try if you like Lucretia, Mag Mell.

I really really like this and can see my self wearing it a lot.

  3. Upon first sniff in the decant my first thoughts were that it was like Prospero. Well my nose must've been broken that day. Upon skin testing, I did a side by side comparison out of interest and they weren't the same.

It smells like a fizzy (red not champagne-type) wine, with an undertone of pastry. Not sweet pastries. Just pastry. I don't get the firewood bit, and it is very fizzy smelling, not really what I was expecting. It's wearable but not something I'd go crazy for.

  4. I keep finding scents I thought I had reviewed, but haven't...this is one of them! It's minty, piney dirt. Not too piney, a natural hint of pine rather than an INYOURFACEDISINFECTANT smell. It's unisex, but would be incredibly sexy on a man, that just more than a freshly shaven and toothpaste-d kind of clean scent, with dirt to ground it more. I really love this.

And yes it does scent sheets beautifully, apply liberally to a clean flannel and pop in the drier :) Getting into bed was lovely after I did this! :joy:

And the best thing?? I didn't order this! The lab confused my order for snow-flakes I think if I remember rightly but it was a great mistake because I never would have ordered this :wub2:

  5. Hmmm, well the yuzu is decidedly absent on me, this is the cherry blossom I love in Lantern Ghost of Oiwa minus the rice wine and mint. It's the kind of perfume you can slap on in the morning with abandon, catch wafts all day and still not offend anyone. I like it.

    It's a keeper for me.

  6. It's soft cool mint, not sharp, menthol-y or pepperminty, more fluffy. It's also vanilla and ozone. It's very nice but not much throw, I will slap tons on next time! I find it reduces to just vanilla after 2hours on me, the Antique Lace kind of vanilla, not a buttery kind, but I think I just tend to burn off mint and citrus extra fast, so you may do better :)

  7. Whatever it is in Signor Dildo (which reminds me of Lou Lou) that makes me feel ill is in here also in a diluted quantity. It's like The Girl and Lou Lou had a baby. I can't speak overly of notes as I had to wash it off. What a shame.

Edited to say: I received an empty of this and I like the remains of this bottle a lot more, there's an almost fruity element there and just less of that well, whatever it is? I can actually wear the second bottle dregs :)

ETA again..whomever mentioned xiu-unpronouncable-ti whatsit is right, it is a bit like that.

  8. On me this was initially the most beautiful strawberry perfume I have ever smelt, then quickly it morphed into the revolting liquorice of bread and butterfly.

Soon it was ALL LIQUORICE ALL THE TIME. Don't get me wrong, liquorice is fine but in perfume, eg Lolita Lempicka edt, it absolutely nauseates me. Cry :thud:

I was so looking forward to this one too. Label gorgeous though.

  9. It's a like a slightly more gardenia-ish Follow Me Boy, slightly smoother and lighter, but very similar. Sorry I can't say more!

For those that haven't smelt FMB, Euphrosyne is a creamy, jasmine-gardenia with a hint of vanilla and something I can't put my nose to today, something that gives it a freshness lacking in FMB.

  10. I'm going to review two versions, since they are two versions, nothing alike.

    Version one:

    2007 imp

I love this perfume, there's something of Shalimar about it, it will certainly divide people into two camps, something in there people might smell as old lady, but not to me. It has huge throw, hence why my imp has lasted me. Yes it's patchouli but also a hint of orangeyness and vanilla. It's snake oil that has been stored for a year in a dried orange :)

    Version two:
    2010 lab fresh bottle

What is this....almost fizzy orange! It's cute, it's fresh, but it's not what I thought I was getting. There is NO patchouli in this to the point where I think it's been forgotten in the lab. It's orange-vanilla, within two hours it has become a sweet sugary vanilla and doesn't really go far beyond that.

I'm actually kinda sad about this new one. It's a whole different perfume. Ravenous is my wear when I need to smell strong and need a boost perfume, mainly worn at night just for me, and the new one is by contrast perky and too smily. It's like Garfield side by side with Nermal, if Nermal were glittery. Or a movie star from the thirties next to an 80's smiling blonde cheerleader.

ETA 8/17/16: I have reviewed this before and used to love it. I ordered an imp recently to see if the bottle I got that had no patchouli in was a one off mistake. Sadly not. I have no idea what has been done to this, it just has this awful chemical smell. Like it used to have essential oils as got switched for the cheapest synthetics available. It's actually vile. I will treasure my original imp as that scent is clearly long gone.

  11. So I recently found a half full vial of this i must've had a for a very long time and just put aside thinking cherry blossom was a bit er...kinda lost for a word here, like a pastel poodle? for me. OH MY GOODNESS WHY???

I love this, it starts off with three mingled scents, mint, rice wine, and cherry blossom. The rice wine and mint recede a little quite fast and the resulting scent has more wood, a little tea, but it ultimately ends up as a sweet, creamy, woody cherry blossom that I can't help sniffing over and over.

I started carrying the vial around with me but it leaked, leaving me with a yummy smelling bag that offers wafts of scent up occasionally. It might be a soft scent but it's fairly tenacious.

I'm pretty sure the waiter in Yo Sushi sniffed me as he leaned past me to place soy sauce on the bar when I was wearing this

  12. Wet this is Palmolive Shaving Foam, the original kind they had back in the seventies/early eighties in the UK. I'll get back to you when it's dried.

ETA-Just realised I never came back! It did pretty much stay the same...but I started to really like it in a nostalgic sort of way:)

  13. This might have better suited being called Aqua mood the way it smelt on my skin.

Slight anise-cherry blossomyness is soon blanked out by a group of overconfident mermaids on a night out covered in aquatic perfume.

They're drunk and getting a bit screechy. I get a headache and have to wash them away

  14. I had super high hopes for this but was glad I didn't spring for a bottle in the end.It starts off promising then BAM, the fastest morph in the world into[/color]LOULOU by Cacharel in a never released extrait, super-strong version too.It got stronger and stronger until I was feeling sick and had to wash it off. My skin plus dildo clearly equals FAIL. I don't blame the perfume as it started fine!

  15. This is not necessarily a scent I could wear out of the house, but it had a sense of being from my past, something safe, perhaps something I might wear to bed (alone), comforting. But what did it smell like I hear you cry...Stone. Powdery stone, perhaps a little concrete, it made me think of someone tooling marble and there being dust from it piling up. It also had the teensiest hint of something sweet - candy necklace type sweets, but barely. It smells certainly like nighttime to me. Which may make no sense to anyone else but that's the feeling I got from it!This is not necessarily a scent I could wear out of the house, but it had a sense of being from my past, something safe, perhaps something I might wear to bed (alone), comforting. But what did it smell like I hear you cry...Stone. 16. Wet there's a hint of something floral but it's soon gone and morphs solely into vanilla scented doll-plastic.

It's certainly not seductive, but I do keep sniffing it. It's not unpleasant, I just wonder if it's meant to smell differently.

update: well I have to edit this as I have changed my mind! I like this a lot. I asked my sister to sniff my wrist and she liked it also, which surprised me as I imagined it might be too plastic for others to find it a 'perfume' as such.

  17. I was kindly frimped this this week and had never heard of it before. This could be the perfect autumn scent for me.

It has a cleanness about it. This is the autumn leaves, dry and crispy, the fresh dry air, before everything gets rained on and goes all musty. It's leaves, but not mulchy, it's autumn but not foody, it's clean but not in a floral way.

This was in fact the scent of today. Having been ill, I haven't been outside for a few days, and today I went out and saw the first, crisp orange leaves on the ground, the blue sky, the sunshine and that autumnal sniff in the air, the tiniest hint of a bonfire from yesterday.

Try this if you like ozone, and want to try something that isn't pumpkin for autumn. I'd like this as a house scent I think too.

  18. I felt compelled to bump this thread in honor of the newest and bestest musk blend ever, Creature Feature. This is pure musk -- neither too light nor too dark -- through and through. All musk lovers owe it to themselves to check this blend out. I've reviewed it here.

Creature feature has made me fall in love with musk I need more like it!!!

Can somone recomend me some more musks like it?

    I think it's like Ivanushka.
