  1. How exciting for Georgia to have her own scent!!

In the bottle: very, very earthy. Just upturned dirt... I have been digging in the garden. Strong, like it's all under my fingernails. Very moist. Then, I smell the neighborhood flowers on the breeze.

On: At first, still lots of dirt, but the flowers come out to play very quickly. It still smelled like I have been out digging and had that dirt on my hands all the time, but after a while the dirt began to fade and the florals became much more concentrated.

After an hour: All flowers, all the time.

  2. I got this as a freebie from herbhealer!

From the imp, it smelled really strong and perfume-y. After I put some on, it didn't seem as strong or piercing. After a few minutes, it's toned down and is really rose-y! It's also familiar. At first I thought it was... sunscreen? It's something I rub on my skin sometimes. I went a little bonkers for a moment trying to place it. Then it hit me: Oil of Olay!

On me, this is totally like Oil of Olay. Funky! It's not unpleasant; it's kind of clean. Not sure if I want to smell like this all the time though.

  3. I just got my decant in the mail and had to instantly try it. Like before I got in the house with the package. I just had to find this after someone mentioned, "it makes me think of Totoro," on LiveJournal.

from the imp: at first, straight vanilla, and then after a second, the mint jumped out at me like it was trying to surprise me!

wet: straight up, girl scout thin mints. I sold enough of them to know exactly how they smell!

drydown: something a little more pungent pops out, and I really can't place it. Maybe like a dark chocolate with the mint? It's different, but good.

    Overall: yummy!

  4. In the bottle: Dark, old, books. Very old library! I'm a bookworm and a librarian; this works for me...

Wet: Definitely smell the tobacco. Spicy incense.

Dry: More tobacco, more sweet (from the tobacco?). It still makes me think of old books! My grandmother's basement, with stacks of them. Dry old pages, with old flowers and clippings from 60 years ago pressed inside.

I love that someone said that Rupert Giles would wear this. I could totally smell this on him. Mmmmmmm. I don't know if I would wear this for every day, but I want to curl up around it next to a fireplace with a cuddly blanket and a good book.

Edit: a couple hours later, and I am sneezing. Noooo! It smells more sharp now. What is hitting my nose like this? Spending too much time with my nose in this dusty musty old book?

  5. This is my first review! Here's my impression of Kyoto...

From the imp, I smelled a really strong almond. Almost piercing. Wet on the skin, it was very "perfume-y." It was okay, but a little strong for me. I still smelled almond, though it's apparently not in there! Now, a few hours later, it has toned down and smells a little more exotic and spicy. I like this better now!

I don't care for licorice, and happily I never smelled it in there. Interesting.
