First sniff sweet yummy and foody! On this one is cakey and delicious but it is in no way as heavy as some of the other foody blends (gluttony, beaver moon and the like). This one is so sweet and light I almost lost it at one point and decided to add one more drop to see it out. This is so tasty and might lead some of you over to the foody side. Before this was brought out to sniff I had asked a labbie how she thought this smelled and she said a watery version of Beaver Moon and I have to say I so see that description in it. There is something slightly watery about this. Maybe Alice had already begun to cry before she ate this little morsel.

A sepulchral, desolate scent. Long-dead soldiers, oath-bound; the perfume of their armor, the chill wind that surges through their tower, white bone and blackened steel: white sandalwood, ambergris, wet ozone, galbanum and leather with ebony, teak, burnt grasses, English ivy and a hint of red wine. (Gender neutral) In the Bottle: This smells strangely masculine and sweet at the same time. This has the scent of leather mixed with the richness of the red wine and a sweet scent that reminds me of dragons blood On wet: This is a light masculine scent to me. It has the depth of incense, touch or leather and a slight sweetness that is a nice touch. As it sits I get the ambergris and I am not sure what in the description is "wet ozone" but I can sense that a bit to the back Drydown: This is a sexy, deep, slightly sweet, sense. This is perfect for those of you who adore the incensy blends that Beth can blend so well. This also would work well for guys as well. I can't wait to try it on my new husband!!

The End of All Things: empty white musk and mint seeped with solemn lavender, doleful patchouli and vetiver, scythe-sharp yuzu and lime, with geranium bourbon, white sandalwood and calla lily. In the Imp: A deep scent of musk and patchouli with a subtle flower backdrop on wet: This scent is not as strong or dark as I would have thought, first reading the description. Its a bit ozoney with its perfect blend of floral and deep. Nothing is coming forward on me everything is in balance making it difficult to pick out any one scent. drydown: The deeper scents are coming forward but thankfully not the vetiver (which does not like me). This is becoming very patchouli musk forward. The Sandalwood also seems to be coming forward as well while the florals seem to have all ran away. This is a darker scent now. Wow the Sandalwood is making this so nice! Overall: A well blended scent with a lovely sandalwood scent with at some sniffs the tiniest tinge of white florals to the back. For me personally I never would have picked this scent since many of the listed notes don't like me at all. I must say its not as masculine as I would have first thought and smells really nice on the dry down. Though its not me I have to say this is one of those scents that reminds me sometimes I have to just give in and try something new even if I think the notes will do horrors to me. This so much nicer then I ever would have thought!!

Tweedledum and Tweedledee Agreed to have a battle! For Tweedledum said Tweedledee Had spoiled his nice new rattle. Just then flew down a monstrous crow, As black as a tar-barrel! Which frightened both the heroes so, They quite forgot their quarrel. TWEEDLEDEE: Ridiculous! Kumquat, white pepper, white tea and orange blossom. I tried this one at the willcall and it is so not like I had expected. It starts at a strange green jumble of scents. It is sweet and edible but not quite distiguishable at first. Then as the time goes by it developes fruitier notes. Then on me a sweet lime fragrance came up. It reminds me in some ways of Detox but at the same time is totally different in the back notes. It would make a great refreshing summer scent.

Sensual, sibilant, sexual and hypnotic: Arabian musk and exotic spices slinking through Egyptian amber, enticing vanilla, and a serpentine blend of black plum, labdanum, ambrette, benzoin and black coconut. A note to readers: Several bottles of Snake Charmer were mislabeled as House of Mirrors, and vice versa. Many of the reviews have been sorted out; there are undoubtedly a few that haven't. Caveat lector. --Shollin In the bottle: Amber with something slightly spicey and something else I can't name hiding at the back. On wet: Amber and possibly some patcholli or something else slightly earthy and spicey behind. Dry Down: This has gone more incensey on me. It has a warm ambery scent scent with a hint of spice behind it. It is very interesting warm scent.

Old Nick, the Devil himself, as seen through the eyes of Victorian New England. A jaunty, dapper scent, deceptively genteel: a lavender fougere with tonka, amber, rosewood and a whiff of diabolical patchouli. In the bottle: Wow not what I would have expected it has a light earth scent. The lavendar is very apparent as is the tonka. This might sound odd but it sort of smells like the Lush store in Pasadena. On wet: Wow did that Lavendar settle down it is far more subtle to the tonka and touch of what must be the rosewood. And here comes that beautiful amber warming this scent up nicely. Drydown: This is such a perfectly balanced scent that it becomes difficult to really see any of the individual scents it just becomes one perfect slightly warm scent. Its not super incensy but more a resinious warm scent. Overall: I admit originally I wasn't drawn to this scent, but wow this is nice. It is not a florally scent in fact it is a well blended spicey warm scent that is nice. I personally just wish it had a tiny bit more throw but that could be just me.

A sultry and unruly blend that emulates the ambient scent of the markets in ancient Bengal: skin musk with honey, peppers, clove, cinnamon bark and ginger. In the bottle: Earthy fresh scent of cinnamon bark, mixed with the pepper and ginger. On wet: Cinnamon, not as cooked but the smell of the fresh bark as well as the scent of the dry spicey scent of the pepper and ginger. Soon the clove comes forward Drydown: A smidge of musk is hinted at in the back. This scent is HOT. But strange in some moments I get the hot humid reaction of being in a steamy jungle with deep green trees giving off hot scents from their bark, but then it changes to the heat of the desert with the dry scent of the hot air mixed with the brush growing in the hot sands. Overall: This is a hot cinnamony scent with a touch of clove and ginger this has a amazing spice to it. With a tiny touch of the honey to add a hint of sweet. I think this will be a perfect scent for keeping warm in the middle of winter.

Amber, saffron and bergamot with mandarin, nutmeg, Bulgar rose, musk and sandalwood. In the bottle the first thing I think of is the inside of an old cedar chest filled with your grandmothers keepsakes of pressed flowers and memories On I get an interesting mix of the musk, rose, and sandalwood. The amber also starts to move forward. I also am surprised that this is so rosey. But it seems rather well blended with the amber and the musk. As this one sits it becomes a bit darker a bit muskier and the roses start to move to the background . This scent is a really interesting mix of both sweet and dark. I can totally see the name in this scent I can imagine a ancient, desert city open air market smelling just like this.

The Spirit of the Divine Messenger, the Lord of the Crossroads, He Who Owns All Doors and Roads in this World. He is the intermediary between the Orishas and mankind, and stands at the intersection of humanity and the Divine. He opens all paths of communication, both mundane and Heavenly. His ofrenda contains coconut, tobacco and sweet, sugared rum In the bottle sweet, slightly achoholic, and a tad spicey. On I get the coconut but not in a super sunblocky way. The sweetness is there as is a tad of the rum and spice. Its a very light scent on me and wants to disappear. I tried adding a smidge more to finish this review. It is a mix of spices and might smell like the tropics (not in the way they smell bottled by glade or coppertone though) The main notes I keep getting are a very natural coconut and the slight spice that must be the tobacco. Its a nice scent that I could see working for both guys and girls, but for me its just a little to short holding. I am a touch sad since it smells so amazing in the bottle I might have to try it on my guy.

Strawberry Moon is a blending of strawberries and cream with light, dry lotus and soft ylang ylang and a touch of green tea and sage to bring it closer to Earth. Wow I feel both honored and a little frightened to be the first to review this one. In the Bottle: Strawberries and cream with a hint of an edge almost liquory, though I think its the lotus or the tea that is giving it some of that hint. On wet: The strawberries are fresh and ripe sitting in cream with a green smell that almost hints at the leaves still being on. Quickly to me it gets even berrier. Fresh and yummy. It smells like some yummy mixed strawberry drink you would enjoy in the summer. After a few minutes it gets a bit milder on the berry and the cream and lotus start to even the scent out. The berry is hiden after time but the cream and lotus are blending divinely on me. I wish it still had a touch more of the strawberry but overall am super happy with this scent. The funniest part is this is not nearly as sweet as you would think. ETA: I just came across this review and WOW! That was a long time ago! I want to say that over the many years of wearing this scent what has made me the happiest is the lovely almost Strawberry Daqurri scent, it has a fresh, clean and yummy sweet scent that is summer to me. Thanks Beth for making this scent, but at the same time you are so evil for making me love this rare scent soooooooooooooo much. I need MORE!!!

Crushed, I so wanted delicious Sugar Cookie with a touch of cherry sweetness, but I hit a huge wall of plastic straight out of the gate. The bits on my clothing, don't go there, but the cherry is alcoholic, and heading to a heady booze, the sweetness is lightly there, but mostly its dead drunk for me. My nose is still slightly off from being poorly, but so far husband and kid vetoed this one, but need to give it one more go, before I give up, as I so wanted this to work

This scent is similar to the original but there is difference right off the top. Comparing this to the original you get a much softer less intense medicinal scent then you get in the bottle of the original. It has a softer, more powdery floral scent from a flower I just can't place. This one on at first is so much lighter and softer then the original. Again the new floral note in it offers a light sweetness and delicateness. It almost disappears for a second, but a little more sniffing brings it back. Next to the original in this stage shows two totally different scents, but one's that are clearly related at the same time. In the end this scent has many of the notes that made me fall in love with Numb, but with an added softness that reminds me of that soft floral of Havisham or some of Beth's other older florals. If you are a floral lover, or like a classic feminine scent you are going to go weak in the knees for this one!! I don't tend towards either but I still love this one!!!

Sharp, shining, metallic: rubbed iron with a dry wooden base. In the bottle: Wow this is an odd one but not how I expected it seems to have ecualuptus, cinnamon and possibly dragons blood or something sweet at the back. But the menthol of the ecualuptus is the first thing you get with the sweet next and spice last. On wet: If this is nails I only see clean and shiny ones. The ecualuptus has fallen to the back pushing up that slight sweet and spice. But this is no ordinary sweet and spice scent this is also very crisp and again slightly (very slightly) menthol. This scent is light and clean on me. Drydown: This is getting more aquatic now very crisp and clean, with that slightly interesting twist to the back. I still don't get a metalic scent but it does remind me of sharp objects and could picture the shininess of the metal. I also don't see any wood in this. Overall: This is an interesting I am getting a smidge of vanilla, spice and that green scent. I think its a very complicated scent, that should twist so many ways for so many. But was a little weirded out when at one point in the dry down my SO sniffed it and said it smelt like Eternity for men and was a little scared that I also could see the smidge of colonge it had at that point. But that never stayed long.

This oil is based on a traditional Jewish ritual blend, used to heighten magical work. This scent is firey and powerful. I have not used it yet in ritual but the scent from the bottle makes you want to get to work! Add it to any ritual use that you feel needs an extra boast.

This should be interesting another Blog I can have good intentions to use and then neglect for long periods of time!!! I am shocked how many people already started these things,wow! I realised I have nothing to say. Ugh what a crappy why to start.

My opinions on tried Scents, these are to the best of my memory and tried to include if I only have a bottle, not if I own an imp. If it isn't on the list I either totally can't remember it or haven't tried it. In the bottle; My first thought is wow this smells like something I have smelled before, but I can't place it. But it reminds me of the holidays. It has a light musky, spicey, floral scent. On: This maybe one of the few slightly citrusy scents I can wear for that reason I am thinking this has bergamot or something similar (no orange since orange goes on me), it also has something like maybe sandalwood or something in that arena. Making this scent a lovely blend of spice and sweet. I also feel like there is something almost aquatic in the back. Final Thoughts: I will first admit this is not the first time I had tried this one and I had already come to a decision about this one so this review is quick to reflect it. While I like this scent there is something that just makes me feel like it should be on a guy (much in the way I feel Wilde is the ultimate men's scent). I am very girlie in most of my BPAL choices so this just isn't quite me, but I am so lucky cause it is swoon worthy on my guy!!! My two (VERY high numbers) CMLXII- 962 In the bottle- OK this is strange, I get a tingle like of menthol I believe from eucaluptus (like my nose actually tingles like from Vicks though lightly) but there is also a spice here ginger or a dusty cinnamon its not clear what that spice is. I don't know why I feel like at least in the bottle this scent should have been included in the Arkam series as it reminds me of some ancient dark Lovecraftian monster. First on- The tingle is still there but the actual scent of the ecualuptus is gone this has a dusty tone of a slight spice with just a tinge of floral coming up at the back as it rests on my skin. But not a girly floral a darker floral in perfect balance with the now slightly resiny scent. Changing spiral of scent- OK I think that this scent was designed to exibit almost every style of oil Beth has ever done. I have seen aquatic and slightly ozone with a slight spice in the bottle, visted menthol (ok while not mint it still has that tingle), slightly resinous, floral, a sweet almost fruit , then what comes up but a light wood and who knows whats to come. None of the stages are of the heaviest of the catagory but they clearly are defined. The drydown- This is a hard one to peg because I think the drydown on this is going to take a long time to settle. I am still getting changes with the spicyness coming and going and mixed with either a slight floral or a light resinous scent. Overall- I think in the end this is almost aquaticy but with a slight tinge of spice. This one is so hard to explain but was so fun to experience. While I don't know if I would wear it I would love to have everyone get a chance to play with it to see what exactly it does on others. Because this one sure made my head spin and was FUN!!!! MXIV- 1014 In the bottle- Is that cherries? Not cough syrup cherries but bing cherries with some other slight sweet and maybe a wood behind. This is a bit like my CT2 but at the same time very different. First on- Sweet, Tarty, with a slight touch of maybe spice. The wood like scent is showing up as it sits. Though changing this is not quite the same as the last this one has toned way down, the its getting deep and dark. The sweet is mostly hidden under a layer of light dark woods and something else. Drydown- For a second I thought this had vanished but no its there slightly exotic and just a hint of sweet. It is very hard to explain except to say it is sexy as hell. Overall- I am so on the fence about this one. I think it might grow on me but I will have to see. But let me tell you this is one of those naughty CT3's that really gives you no hints in the bottle . None at all. eta: darn you lil' 1014 why do your woods have to rise up. Why? It has a slight cedar scent. I don't much care for the woods so this one might go to a new home

In regards to bottle DCCLXXXIII (783?) How can I love someone so much and hate them at the same time? Beth how could you be so cruel? This small bottle here has complete control over me and is sending me into a Libra Balance freak out. This little bottle numbered DCCLXXXIII is almost exactly what I have been dreaming about for over 10 years (closer to 15 but I can kid myself) I thought it was Numb that had brought me close to remedying the problem of a discontinued long remembered and impossible to replace "me" scent but now I see I have kidded myself. It is not Numb that has brought me close to the original scent but this DCCLXXXIII with its Violet and Roses and something slightly spicey (White Ginger???) and maybe a sweeter white floral. While it is not an exact match it is so close it doesn't matter. Or maybe it is not a closeness but a strange hold this bottle has one me. It has made me apply it every single day since I got it (over a week). While I have two other CT2's on the way I am afraid that DCCLXXXIII won't even let its hold go in order for me to sample them. This is why I both hate and love you Beth you have given this bottle so much life that its grip will not let go of me, normally that wouldn't be so cruel but this is the only bottle, this is it. I know when this bottle is down to its last drops it will sit in a worshipped place with its kin and make me set out on another search in the future for a lovely scent such as this. Sincerally the worshipper of bottle DCCLXXXIII (Yes this is a strange review but blame the DCCLXXXIII. I also know about 90% of you are out there gagging at the thought of violet or anything similar in Numb and how you didn't like its skin reaction on you. But this review is for those of you that love Numb, you will understand and I think many of you would drool over this one. I am so happy this one landed in my hands! Thanks for the 3!)
