    First time trying any of the Samhain's, I have 2008. Bought a bottle un sniffed, because the description sounded lovely!

     

    In the bottle: there's a sharp smokey scent. Ooh this isn't what I was thinking it was going to be, will I like this?

     

    wet on skin: very smokey, and theres a little bit of the apple I think, still sharp though, could that be the fir leaves?

     

    Dry on skin: Mmmm this is like heaven, all smokey leaves and spice with a touch of apple :P

     

    Like LadyLuckless and starwild said, it's a journey through an old worn down building and having the hallowe'en party on the lawn. Def. glad I got a bottle!

    Oooh I like this one :P Which is good because i got a bottle unsniffed!

     

    In the bottle:It smells like someone has taken the long grass in my parents yard and put it in a blender!

     

    wet on skin: Still mostly grass but not as sharp as in the bottle, there's a something sweet that I can't place, almost a hay like sweet smell.

     

    Dry: Sweet grass. Still pretty much the same as wet.

     

    I'm glad I got a whole bottle, it's a great reminder of my parents house, or my grandmum's cottage, being in the city, it's a nice reminder. :D

    First impression: Humm, nope, gonna swap this eventually.

     

    I then wanted to try all the frimps I got in my first order and saw this one had coconut in it so I'd give it another try.

     

    In the bottle: I smell next to nothing, not very potent, slight Coconut scent. (It could be that I'm sick?

     

    Wet on skin: Mmmm Coconutty goodness, I can smell it now! I'm reminded of LUSH, I think it's the conditioner my DH uses.

     

    Dry down: Still coconut, but something else is there, maybe it's the orris?

     

    30 minutes later: Oooh nice, the coconut is still there but what I'm assuming is orris is coming through with a bit of the musk.

     

    Overall: I like this one, out of the swap pile and into my keeps pile! (for now)

    I got this as a sample scent in my first ever order from the lab:

     

    In the imp: Almond with a hint of spice in the background. OMG this smells amazing!

     

    Wet on skin: Stilll Almonds but the spice in the background is a bit more pronounced, and oh wait, there's the vanilla coming through.

     

    Dry down: Almond is sent to the background with the vanilla as they accent the frankincense and cinnamon.

     

    In all I love this scent and will eventually have to get a bottle of it! :3
