Funny you should mention this! I was planning to do one in January after all the holiday madness dies down! :D I was planning to include seeds, because there are some seeds that can be started as early as January (indoors of course) in my area. But I'm all for this as long as we can keep it relatively inexpensive!

And if you help me run it, we could allow more swappers in, right?

That sounds awesome! Would a price cap of $30-$35 work? I actually think it could be done for around half that maybe, if people were crafty(or had a billion tons of seed that they *really* want to share with the world). I know that I've found amazing garden gloves, and the best hand pruners, at places like Ross and TJMaxx for $7. Plus, the crafty, wonderful people among us could make garden totes, or those hammered spoon plant tag stakes-- or even some pretty rope.

But a just seed swap would be fabulous, also. The one you ran last year was great, and really helped expand on what we can grow out here(okra does not appear to be one of those things, sadly).

I'd be interested in a garden swap! :wub2:

    Garden swap? Yes please :D

  2. I have a new swap idea.

I'm wondering of the people watching this thread, who would be into a natural foodie/gluten free round-robin swap box, similar to the tea boxes Gwydion and I have done, same as what Em has done with the bath and beauty products. It would start filled with a variety of natural and gluten free products, foods, seasonings, recipes, homemade goodies, and maybe even extra kitchen gadgets you wanted to trade out. 10 people, and each person keep the box for 7 days, takes out what they want, replace with equal amount of something else. All foods have to have an ingredient label. Everything is free of artificial sweeteners, high fructose corn syrup, and gluten.

Sounds like a great idea! Count me in If enough decide to do it!

  3. Any interest in a circular swap involving beauty subscription box unwanted goodies or sample packets? I'm in one over on another board, and I'm getting ready to send my contributions on this afternoon, but I still have a whole bunch of sample packets that won't fit in here, and I think it would be fun to have one happening on the BPAL board as well.

That sounds like a good idea, but I'd be afraid that I don't have enough samples.

This sounds fun!! I loves goops and potions, (& Have plenty of them) though I would want to steer clear of the commercial perfumes. If this takes off please send me an email!

  5. OK, I have an idea for a circular swap, but since I have never done my own circular swap, decant circle or anything of that kind, I just want to get my idea out there and check if there would be any interested parties.

I was thinking "Tacky Jewelry Swap." I have so many things I would love to give to a new home.. some are really new and fab, others are still in an OK shape but really.. tacky, I don't know.

Anyone who would be interested? This could be like the Spring Cleaning Swap, with a fixed minimum number of jewelry items.

Oh, heck, I will start collecting things anyway. And in case nobody is interested, I may have to make this into a PIF. ;)

ETA: This would be a swap involving items that you already have! Nobody would have to buy anything!!

I'd be up for this one! :D

metinx i have a couple to contribute

  6. I must say the scent is a bit mystifying... I am a spice and musk type! In the bottle it is nice clean even.

First couple of wet Wow. It is tickling me nose! I was hesitant to try due to patchouli, but all the other notes with the exception of vanilla are winners on me. This is truly a shapeshifter scent on me.

At first she is all woodsy and earthy with a hint of sweetness. Though I must say I am still not picking up the foody scents...which to me is a good thing (The hubby who cannot smell a thing) Loved it after 4 hrs. or so I am no expert, but this 1 goes to the top 5! Mostly because it DOES have it's OWN personality!
