  1. Very spicy on my skin. I pick up the cloves, cinnamon, and orange the strongest, but the incense, patchouli, and peaches are there too. One of the few scents that I can really discern every note within.

  2. This is strong herbal mint on my skin. Would definitely clear my sinus passages if my allergies were acting up or I had a cold. Does soften a little as it dries to a minty grape scent, but not really something I'd wear as perfume.

  3. Powerful Sumatran patchouli and enigmatic Brazilian copaiba with pao d’arco, cacao absolute, bourbon vanilla, Ceylon cinnamon, and tobacco.

This scent is strong patchouli on my skin while wet. As it dries, the patchouli note settles somewhat and I begin to smell the tobacco note more strongly. Fully dry, the patchouli and tobacco notes are well-balanced with wafts of vanilla and spice.

  4. EL NUEVO PURITANO
The wicked wrath of moral panic: unmoving, rigid oak, dry leather, tonka, gunpowder tea, and pious olibanum with a core of perverse and furtive vanilla bean, bay leaf, clove bud, and lime.

On my skin wet, this is a lightly spicy wood scent with traces of clove and lime. As it begins to dry, the leather note emerges and it eventually fully dries on my skin to a mild spicy wood and leather fragrance on me. Nice, but I'm not sure I would wear it enough to justify keeping the bottle.

  5. I get almost all vetiver right after application.

It does soften as it dries and I begin to pick up the mallow/vanilla-like note. Definite woodsy undertone on my skin as well.

This one had a lot of potential, but is just not behaving with my skin. Even dry, I still pick up more smoke & vetiver than I like in my fragrances.

  6. Wet on my skin, I get a fruity lime skittles scent mixed with a note resembling pink pepper. The lime note disappears quickly and like prior reviewer I begin to smell anise/licorice, which I love. Dry, it's pink pepper and anise on my skin. This is a keeper for me.

  7. My impressions of this blend are of it being a soft, creamy citrus musk, but I also pick up a tea note within it as well.

This also has long staying power on my skin. Even hours after application I can smell it close to my skin.

I love this particular blend and am glad I took a chance on it based on the earlier reviews.

  8. My impressions are that this starts off with a very sharp earthy note with grass.

As it dries, it does soften considerably. I know one of the other versions of this blend had a strong sassafras note in it and I think that note is in here as well, but it is very subtle and I can only smell it when the oil is almost dry.

As it dries down on my skin, more than anything it smells like oiled leather.

Overall, I like the blend, but it's not something I see myself wearing very often.

  9. Wet on my skin, it's dirt and grass. After it is on my skin for a few minutes, I begin to pick up the leather note, which is a very dry leather on me. Dries down to a dusty leather & earth scent on my skin. As for the lemon candy, I'm not really getting any of that.

  10. Without even looking at the notes, I knew there was chocolate and orris root in this one immediately. The coconut note is very light as are the floral notes. Dries down to a chocolate woodsy scent. Nice, but not anything I will need to buy a bottle of.

  11. I admit to being curious enough about this one to ask my Trunk Show angel to pick up a bottle. The released version smells so amazing on me.

The prototype has a definite cologne vibe to it after initial application. There is a sharpness to it that makes me think there is vetiver in this prototype, but it's not heavily dominated by it. I think the dark musk note is in there as well.

Once dry it is a much-softened musk that stays very close to the skin.
