  1. This is fantastic! On wet it almost had a Doc Constantine edge to it. Later a dry, leathery spiced scent filled my twitching nostrils with strongly thrown deliciousness. Seriously. This has one of the best throws I've had with the Carnaval so far other than Gennivre. ....yep, gonna need a bottle...

edited because you don't need to see the notes listed again. I need to quit sniffing my wrist and start watching my computer screen :P

  2. CMLXXX - I was recently frimped my first Chaos Theory. I didn't get a bit of gin off this as another reviewer described and I loves me the booze :D Instead I got cloying jasmine and other light flowers with a hint of slightly nauseating...bubblegum? Not for me at all! :P

  3. :P This is fantastic! Perfectly represents the straight-laced (most of the time) Aziraphale. I get pretty much what the lab scent describes - a light musk with a background like a grove of birch trees. Made me think of wandering through a yellow leaved forest while reading an old incense covered tome. Perfect! :D

  4. hehehehehehe :D I love cucumber! That being said, I overdosed on cucumber scents a few years ago due to a disaster of a bridal shower thrown by my mother-in-law where every single one of her friends brought me cucumber-melon Bath and Bodyworks crap. I had loads of the stuff and managed to get pretty sick of one of my favorite scent flavors.

BUT! This is completely different! fresh and invigorating and not overly sweet. Amazing!! I regain my love of the cucumber! Huzzah BPAL :P

  5. This is quite a morpher on me! It started out as nose wrinkling herby, dirty snow. Now that it's been dry for about an hour there is an absolutely lovely blend of orchid and pastry in a Golden-purple glow. Wow! I'm torn now, because I was originally thinking "get ye to the swaps pile!" and now I'm not so sure...

Quck edit to add husband's reaction: "You smell BAD!" Such a philistine when it comes to the BPAL :P

  6. What a great fall scent! I wore this all yesterday and it lasted a good long time with decent throw. The apple cider is prominent, but a bitter orange peel scent predominates when dry. I really enjoyed this one! Not too sweet, pretty bitter but very fall-ish :P

  7. I do indeed get freshly shaven pencil once it's dried. Hm...graphite! I hope some of the delightful dirty root-ness of the wet stage comes back. I'm wearing this to bed so I wonder what kind of dreams I'll have - seems like a good oil to inspire some kooky ones :P

  8. Hellooooo Grapefruit!! :P Wow! This knocked my socks off when I applied it this morning. I hadn't read the description and was expecting incense for some reason. Not so! Citrus, citrus, citrus. I like it very much and it did settle down after several minutes. Refreshing and clean smelling.

  9. I really wanted to like this one :P And I DID like it wet. A tangy scent of herbs and something almost like juniper. It's just that it faded so very quickly...one moment there, then *poof* !

I think I'll hold onto it and see if it gets better.

  10. This is sharp and green just like the dandelion and clover listed. Also sweet and very invigorating. Strangely it turns into something almost aquatic after a few hours. Might be the soapiness I've seen in a few reviews. I think I need a bottle :P

  11. This one came as a frimp from a kind swapper. It is MUCH appreciated because I loves me the grass scents!! This is sweet, fresh, and springy. Grassy with a really nice floral I don't think I've run across before - must be the tulip. This is definitely a keeper, I love wearing flowery scents to sleep in :P

  12. A great undersea metropolis located below Devil's Reef. A swirling, lightless, effervescent scent: the deepest marine notes with bergamot, eucalyptus and foamy ambergris.

I'm not sure why some aquatics work great on me (Captain Jack, Cthulhu, The Phoenix) and some just don't. This one is leaning towards the Not Work category :P It turns powdery and a little sneeze inducing. Although I do like the hints of greenery underneath that round this out a bit. I'll just have to hope that as it dries down those elements mix a little more.

  13. This is the hit of the Sleepy Hollow Halloweenies so far! I love this one :P I get just about every note loud and clear except for the "distant" church incense. It's thick and dark, but far more wearable than Shattered Pumpkin on me. Reminds me a bit of Ligur which I also love! Lasts a decent amount of time too.

  14. Woah! This scent is like thick, black sap covering a pumpkin rolled around in some dirt in the dead of night. So pretty accurate to the story! I don't get as much leather as I would like, but it's one I'll keep for its fun as an interesting scent picture. Not a foody pumpkin at all, by the way!

  15. I'm not sure how to describe this one. I get light incense and spice as well as light wafts of florals and tobacco. There's something else that is very strange smelling when wet (copal?) that disappears when dry. Overall I like this scent a lot! It's a a dusty sweet, light brown scent. Ooh! the rose is appearing, but just peeking out not rearing its dominant head like it usually does. Glad I have a partial bottle! :P

  16. I couldn't decide if I liked this one or not :P It's very spicy on me but somehow sort of milky(?) at the same time. Didn't last very long, unfortunately. I love most of the Gaimans so I think I'll hold onto this and try again at a later date.

Edit: Long after application the creaminess of this one came out even more. Very strange - but I like it! I think.
