    Quietude

In the bottle Unmistakeably lavender and lime. On A watery blend of Lavender primarily, then lime, a note of something sweet and a note of something fresh like peppermint, and finally a note that is powdery. These last three middle and bottom notes are very lightly and only in the background. 30 minutes It turns a little off putting to me before it once again turns into the fine scent it was, only not as strong of course. It does last a whole long time as far as that goes.. Throw: Medium Scent category: Water/HerbyGreen/Citrus Summary It works. It is a quieting, serenity producing blend. Just as sure as I'm standing here this blend has brought down my stress level from whence it was, I can feel it. Different then you're regular "calming lavender blends", this is definitively watery in nature, not earthy. Also the lime adds a nice dimension not found in any lavender blend I've found. The only problem is right before it's fully dry. It smells a little funny to me. I knew my chemistry couldn't let anything be that beautiful on me for too long. Now that it's all dry, it's nicer and similar to "Water of Notre Dame" on my skin. Purchase again? Yes. a 10ml 1-5 rating, (5 being best) 4

    Beltane 2005-06

In the bottle lovely spring and summer flowers On Initially a gorgeous floral. Fruity and fresh! Oh my God the fruitiness combined with whatever that green fresh note is, makes for an indescribabley lovely scent. Just as Mabon had those thick, dark, fall time notes, Beltane has the fresh, sunshiney, fruity, florals. My nose cannot tell whether the fruitiness is coming from a citrus blend or a berry blend, so I'm going to guess both. 30 minutes This has not changed one iota, it's still a lovely fruity floral. It has not turned strange or anything negative on my skin. Yay! Throw: Light medium Scent category: Fruity/floral Summary I'm a picky floral person but this floral is beautiful. Whe it dries it smells wonderfully citrussy and floral. There is nothing too harsh about this and nothing off smelling or anything negative the whole time it was on my arm. Purchase again? Yes. a 10ml. 1-5 rating, (5 being best). 4.5

    Pink Moon 2005

In the bottle Light lushious strawberry, and something pink and sweet On Thank God I got more then one bottle. Top note: Strawberry, in it's scrummiest state. Not fake, not green, and most important, not too sweet. Just what you'd want strawberry to smell like. There's also what seems to be brown sugar combined with the strawberry. Middle notes: Florals Bottom: Wood or wood smoke. After a few minutes the smokiness is becoming stronger and the strawberry is not as primary. It kind of reminds me of mixing Sugar Skull with sweet strawberries and a bit more wood or smokiness added. 30 minutes The strawberry note has come back but not as much as when wet (darn), however it's still yummy just more smokey and brown sugary primarily with the strawberry now becoming the bottom note. Throw: Light Scent category: Fruit/Floral Summary I did not expect this to be as good as it is. I also didn't think I was much of a strawberry lover. The woody brown sugar notes are much more primary as it dries but it's still lovely...just not that perfect strawberry scent, as when I first applied. Still, the lunacy "best of" breakdown is now like this for me: #1 Blue Moon #2 Red Moon #3 Pink Moon #4 Hunter moon ...all the rest of the lunacy blends. Purchase again? Yes. A 5 ml. 1-5 rating, 5 being best. 4 only because the initial scent faded a little.

    Black Phoenix

In the bottle spiced cherry On almond and smoky cherry. Everything is competing at full throttle on my skin and it's almost too much for my nose. There's a deep spiced, smokey cherryish scent and an incensey note that is too far in the background if you ask me. Dry This is when it's at it's best on my skin. Everything has calmed down and instead of anything cloying, it is voluptous spiced almond and deep licorice like cherry. Throw: Medium strong Scent category: Resin/Fruity/Foody/Spicy Summary It's best when dry. This is one of those blends that belongs to almost every category as far as my nose is concerned. Foody because of the almond, fruity because of the cherry. Spicy with the incense and smokiness, and resiny from what seems like Dragon's Blood. Purchase again? Yes an imp, maybe a 5ml. 1-5 rating, 5 being best. 3.5 - 4

    Bewitched

~Bewitched~ In the bottle sharp herbiness, blackberry musk On This smells of blackberries and lilacs(?) primarily now. It’s a sweetish scent and the blackberry does not fade nor turn bitter as some do. It’s a fabulous scent. Not too sweet, not too anything, except good. The sweetness of the ripe blackberry combined with the astringency of the green tea and herby sage balances this blend out perfectly. Summary Just think blackberries. The good kind. The perfectly ripe kind. The kind of blackberries that smell like you picked some just ripe, crushed them, add some nutmeg, some brown sugar, a splash of Brandy and then did a sauce reduction of that. As you smell this a gentle breeze brings the scent of Irises growing under the kitchen window. That's the smell of this blend on my skin in a nutshell. Would purchase again? Yes. I've purchased an imp, then a 5ml then a 10ml. Star rating 1-5 (5 bring the best) 4.5

    Dragon's Heart

~Dragon's Heart~ In the bottle Nice warm and fruity On Mmm. Sweet and warm and resiny with a little bit of bitter black musk for balance. Throw: Medium Scent category: Resin/fruity Summary This gives dark red imagery just as you'd think it would. It's warm and musky, fruity and deep. It has a stage where the tartness of the berries comes out and it almost seems strongly floral. Don't know what that was about but when it's dry, it's a mix of sweet honey'd berries and a light drop of musk. Purchase again? Yes 1-5 rating, 5 being best. 4

    Scarecrow

~Scarecrow~ In the bottle Fresh floral On This smells like a light, green, floral, over the counter, expensive, "commercial" perfume. But ...again, there is some note in there that does not play well with my chemistry. It's an acrid sort of animalistic or leathery note way underneath. Throw: medium Scent category: Floral/green Summary If it wasn't for this one mystery note, this would be a 4 star scent in my opion. Purchase again? No. 1-5 rating (5 being best). 2

    Chuparosa

~Chuparosa~ In the bottle Honey'd spring flowers On Wow. Beautiful spring flowers, maybe some honeysuckle, mimosa or jasmine in here too? There's a note in here and damn if I cannot remember or place it. It's familiar... heliotrope, amber and/or white lotus maybe? It's a woody kind of note in here that's just peeking out and sticking it's tongue at me as if to tease me. I hope he doesn't get any stronger but It hasn't thus far. Throw: Light/ medium Scent category: fresh floral Summary This is such a lovely strong floral but it's not piercing or offensive in anyway like strong florals always are on my skin. It's fresh smelling like spring but it's also got a sweet-ish quality. It's got alot of similarity with Lush's "Oxeo Cube" which is made with loads of Oxymels (honey'd flowers basically). There's a woody middle note in here that I'm fighting with but other then that this is beautiful. Also, this has better then average staying power. Purchase again? Yes! a 5ml 1-5 rating, 5 being best. 4 ETA: with help from Cupide430 I know what it smells like exactly, it smells like lush's Tiptoe Through the Tulips soap.

    Snowblind

In the bottle Butterceam, with a lovely smooth mint bottom note. Like those little buttermint candies. On Ohh. Buttery, creamy, mint. 30 minutes Lovely. The buttercream lessens a tad but the minty note stays fairly long and the yummy creaminiess stays as well. Throw: More then I would've thought. Light/Medium Scent category: Foody Summary If you don't like foody, this is not for you. I was so afraid that this perfect thing would morph into something less on my arm. But praise the Goddess, it hasn't. It's the same buttery, creamy, mint goodness that it was when wet. It's what I wanted Harvest Moon, Spooky, Gluttony to be like, but instead the aforementioned all turned too something. Oh my. Purchase again? Yes, another 5ml (or 10ml if becomes available) 1-5 rating, 5 being best. 5

    Zephyr

~Zephyr~ In the bottle light lemony vanilla On Wow. Nice. I've smelled alot of the labs lemony scents and this is the also best one to date. Sometimes they turn rather lemon pledge like on my skin depending what the other ingredients are but this is very pleasant. Nothing about this is too strong nor too weird, etc. 30 minutes It's lovely. This is going to have to be a slatherer. It's light and I can't get enough. This is one of those obsessive sniffing blends lol. Throw: Medium Scent category: citrus/floral/spicey Summary The floral, musk and lemon are the strongest notes on my skin followed by the vanilla, sandalwood, and lastly the bergamot. More perfumey, sweeter and sexier then Embalming Fluid, June Gloom or The Star. I'm very fortunate to have found this as I was done with the lemon blends for awhile. Purchase again? Yes a 5ml 1-5 rating, 5 being best. 4

    Eclipse

In the bottle medium strong Sweet Almond On The almond and vanilla are the prominent notes on my skin. This is so scrummy. It's such a mix of perfect ingredients. For those afraid of cinnamon this cinnamon is barely distinguishable, just lending a subtle spice to the creamy vanilla. 30 minutes It doesn't morph much, it's still smells like a bakery full of goodness. It does fade a bit though, but this is one that you don't mind slathering on or reapplying. It's so worth it. Throw: Medium Scent category: Foody/Spicy Summary I thought 3 Witches was good! This is less spicy and addictive then 3 Witches but it's so bakery like and good. Of ALL the foody scents that I've tried to date from bpal, (not including Snow White)this is the best yet. Purchase again? Yes, a 5ml 1-5 rating, 5 being best. 4.5

    Bayou

Bayou In the bottle Floral and woodsy green On Smells similar to Spezaasspony, Ice Queen, Storm Moon, etc. as far as "watery" and the "evergreen" blends but this introduces a rich creamy note coupled with a nice slightly sweet floral. 30 minutes Turns into a woodsy green with a creamy floral background. Throw: Light/Medium Scent category: Floral/Wintergreen Summary This is a medium strong blend. No where in the ingredients list is there anything about this lushious little creamy note running around that I am smelling in here. It's very tiny, and all the more reason my nose chases it around trying to find it. Ingenious. Maybe it's one of the florals. At any rate the only thing keeping me from assisgning it the label of "watery pine" and being done with it is this extra something that Beth has mixed in here. It's good, but still not quite by bag. It lasts on the skin a better then average amount. Purchase again? No. 1-5 rating, 5 being best. 3

    Salomé

In the bottle Almond, and jasmine. On When applied, the sandalwood and musk became apparent immediately. They're balanced nicely with the sweet almond and the sensous but light jasmine floral. 30 minutes It hasn't morphed that much. It's still a lovely sensual, musky, jasmine sandalwood blend. The almond is nowhere near as present as it was when wet, but it's still lending it's sweet nuttiness in the background. Throw: Light /Medium Scent category: Foody/Floral Summary A softer more sensual and mystical blend then I thought it would be. It's medium light on the strength scale. Initially it's sweet from the almond and the jasmine, but as it dries it turns into an almost nutty floral because the sandalwood and of course the dried almond. I think that when it dries it makes a great meditational blend too. Sure, it's a little bit sensual for meditation but It's got those calming qualities of sandalwood and jasmine. Okay, maybe Kundalini yoga then. For you "Lush" fans, I think this is what we wanted "Flying Fox" to smell like. Purchase again? Yes. Another imp when this runs out for sure. Perhaps a 5ml. 1-5 rating, 5 being best. 4

    Thunderbird

~Thunderbird~ In the bottle fruity, crisp On ooh, nice, fresh, crisp, watery, evergreen, slightly sweet and fruity like apple or pear maybe. 30 minutes Watery, slightly sweet, slightly pine and a slight apple-y scent. It hasn't morphed much. It's scent stays more then most. Love it! It's a better pine blend then Ice Queen, Misseltoe, the pine Lunacy blends, or any other pine blends I can possibly think of. Throw: medium Scent category: Fruity/Watery Summary It smells fresh, not so much pine-y as melony as it dries. Smells like one of the Storm Moon but this is nicer with my chemisty. It smells like pears to me at times. This blend pack some staying power too. This is surprisngly great. Is there an Obliation scent that isn't great? If you're looking for a pine scent that doesn't smell like a pine scent, this is for you. Purchase again? Yes a 5ml 1-5 rating, 5 being best. 4.5

    Hetairae

~Hetairae~ In the bottle Ohh. Honey, and fig. On honey with deep lushious fig primarily. It's a sweet blend, a deep ripe fruity scent, and a spicy with some fresh floral bottom note. It gets more floral as it dries. 30 minutes So good. It fades and I so don't want it to. This is one I'd keep on slathering ALL DAY LONG. It's not floral at all now just spiced honey and fig. The clove isn't present much but I can tell it's in there somewhere working it's magic as well. If it had a bit more lasting power, just a bit, not too cloying, this would be a 5 star scent to me. Throw: little Scent category: fruity/floral/foody Summary The honey and the fig are absolutely fabulous together. Dries down to a syrupy sweet spiced honey. I like this much better then "O". It's less cloying and it doesn't have that ylang ylang thing that ylang ylang can get sometimes. The clove is not very present as in some bpal clove blends. It's not a strong scent, it's medium light. I'm impressed with this blend, I did not expect that heavenly yum factor. Purchase again? Yes a 5ml 1-5 rating, 5 being best. 4.5

    Brisingamen

In the bottle sweet, light, powdery, floral On Golden sticky slightly sweet amber and a medium strong floral with a soft powdery note underneath, but not soft and powdery enough. 30 minutes The carnation and myrtle are more prominent on me now, the blend is softer and fruity floral smelling but soft. Throw: light/medium Scent category: Floral/Resinous Summary This is what I would call a medium strong floral. Don't know why but I see the color pink with this blend, medium rose pink It doesn't last as long as some others. More carnation please. Purchase again? No 1-5 rating, 5 being best. 3

    Languor

In the bottle sweet, bright, floral On Oh this is fun. I expected a straight floral blend, this is brighter then I thought. There's almost a minty, spicy, absinthe like quality about this particular note that I'm having trouble identifying. 30 minutes Wow, this turns darker as it dries. Darker feeling. And the floral is getting really strong now. Ooh, now it's turning nicer. Hate to be so cliché but there is something addicting about this new note coming up. It brings almost a woody earthy note and a creaminess is setting in now. Throw: medium Scent category: floral Summary This is a perfume-y, lightly sweet, medium strong floral that has something kind of fun bright and clear, then creamy and languid about it and it lasts a better then average amount of time. Purchase again? yes, and imp 1-5 rating, 5 being best. 3.5

    Mabon 2004

In the bottle bright, clear, herby, fruitiness On Makes me go "Ooh!". I think the blackberry wine, apple blossom, and apple cider with hops are the ones to blame for the fun in this blend. Nice. Apparently this is a close relative to Bewitched but not quite as beautiful and breathtaking. More like Bewitched's younger, funner, more down to earth sister. 30 minutes Oh my, as it dries it just gets better. For all intents and purposes this should be too strong for me, but i'm not finding it so. Throw: Lots of throw here. Scent category: fruity/boozy/green Summary This is a such a complex blend for my nose. That's not a negative thing though. My nose is finding this fun. It's a sharp scent I'd say. I like sage to work with and it's great at cleansing but I must admit normally I'm not real keen on it's scent. The sage and the oak bark really work in this blend. It balances it out. Sage is pretty strong so it takes a strong counterpoint to balance out the sweetness of the blackberry wine and apple cider. Purchase again? Yes, maybe an imp. 1-5 rating, 5 being best. 3.5

    Lughnasadh

In the bottle Soft, warm, deep cherry. On Cherry. Dark rich cherry. There's something kinda sexy underneath like musk maybe? There must be vanilla and there's also some spice in here too that I'm not sure on but it's the same kind that's in Snake Oil I think. It's a good thing. I don't get quite the cough syrupy scent that some folks get with this blend which I'm thankful for as normally my nose would be the one to smell that. Something herby or greenish and slightly floral coming out now but only slightly. 30 minutes This might be a touch too sweet as it dries. I'm wondering if there's amber in here as I sense a resinous sticky quality to the sweetness. It also gets more floral on me as it dries. Normally that's never a good thing with me but in this case it is, it breaks up that syrupy quality. Drying further it takes on more of a tarter cherry, a bit tarter than the initial ripe sweetness. Throw: Better then average throw. Scent category: Foody/Fruity/Spicy Summary Like Samhain, Beltane and Mabon, Lughnasadh definitely represents up that season nicely. Ihis leans towards being a strong scent. This is definitely a scent that you must sniff, wear wet, wear dry, etc in order not to dismiss it as too something. Of the cherry-ish bpal blends, this is along the same lines of "The Red Queen's" cherry in it's dark richness, but it's sweeter and more syrupy. It's somewhat similar to Formula 54 too but more floral and not as sexy. When it dries the smell of the vanilla and the cherry are quite intoxicating and comforting at the same time. If this were a tiny bit less sweet and floral it would be "5 star" good. Purchase again? I'm glad I have the 10ml I have and I enjoy it. I would probably buy more if I ran out (if it were available I mean). 1-5 rating, 5 being best. 4

    Blue Moon 2004

In the bottle Melony sweet freshness On It's the most beautiful scent. It's a scent that surprises you initially. Is it minty? Is it melony, floral? Not at all what I expected but glorious all the same. I'm so in love with it. It's a floral scent so it's odd that I love it right from the get go like this. But it's so ethereally beautiful, It smells like light spring flowers actually with maybe a teeny bit of melon (from the cucumber) in the background. It gets sweeter as it dries. I can smell the mugwort too which is good. I used to work with mugwort and often I'd just reach in grab a bunch and sniff it. Jeez, this was so worth what I paid for it. Yes indeed. This blend encapsulates this statement. This is very much a moon blend; Feminine, mystical, the essence of Yin energy. 30 minutes It does get sweeter as it dries but the freshness of the cucumber and the herbiness of the mugwort, bay and juniper keeps it from being too sweet and is actually a different but wonderful combination. Throw: Alot of wonderful throw. Scent category: Floral/Water blend Summary It's a medium to medium/strong fresh floral, watery scent. It's complex, full bodied, full of charged goodness, long lasting, and beautiful. What else could I ask for? Purchase again? Uh Yeah. Ebay, swaps, hostage taking, whatever it takes. 1-5 rating, 5 being best. 5

    Dragon's Eye

In the bottle Lilac On Strong Lilac scent. The lily is struggling to balance the lilac. I don't smell any Dragon's Blood really. I have a feeling that when this dries it will be at it's best. There's a note that is piercing and sort of green and strongly floral and I'm gonna assume it's the lily. The lily needs to back off a bit, he he. 30 minutes It is at this point where it is really great. It still has throw, and it doesn't have as harsh of a green note, it's sweeter and more lilac-ish. Throw: Incredibly good throw. The throw is a heavenly scent as a matter of fact. It's much better then smelling it directly on the skin. Wow. Scent category: Floral/Resin Summary One of my favorite flowers is the Lilac so this was quite nice for me. Initially it's almost too strong and headache inducing (my body chemistry does that with floral remember). But if one rides that out, it's a beautiful thing at the other end. It reminds me of Lush's "Flying Fox" scent, it's Jasmine and it's so strong that you almost want to put it down, but it's so good that you can't stop inhaling it deeply. I think this would be a five star scent with some white sandalwood or maybe even white musk. Purchase again? Yes. An imp or maybe a 5ml 1-5 rating, 5 being best. 4

    Moscow

On This is really nice so far. I smell mostly Jasmine with subtle rose and in the background is the citrussy tangerine and very light carnation struggling to be noticed amongst the aforementioned notes. The Bergamot, Amber, Musk, Lily are not pronounced at all and I couldn't identify them if I didn't know they were in here. 30 minutes It has good staying power and this blend smells better when it dries on me. It's not as sweet and I smell mostly Jasmine, Amber, Rose and Lily at this point. I'd like less rose and more carnation. Throw: Might/medium Scent category: Floral, Fruity Summary If you're a floral lover, this would be a 4 or 5 star scent for you. It's a little more fun and less grownup as some floral blends. This is both fruity and floral. It is medium strong and has a medium strong lasting power after 30 minutes. It's more floral then I initially thought but it's a nice one. It's sweet-ish because of the amber. I bought it because it had some similar notes as Lush "Potion" body lotion. It's less spicy and more floral and sweet then Potion, but the can that same nice fresh carnation note. Purchase again? Yes, an imp when i run out or perhaps a 5ml. 1-5 rating, 5 being best. 4

    Havisham

In the bottle watery, lightly sweet floral On LOVELY. White rose, including a green, herby, minty stem. It's also powdery and a tad sweet, like a white cloud. There is a note in here that is familiar to me, Lotus maybe? It's citrussy. Yes. I smell lemon or lime. It's a watery blend, and the BEST watery blend I've smelled to date. Oh my goodness, let's see if I can get all the notes together for ya; Fresh Floral Watery Citrus Sweet Herby And they all are so light and airy and go together beautifully. 30 minutes Turns a bit soapier but nothing out of synch or yukky. It's still freakin' Gorgeous, so fresh and clean smelling, albeit much less you then when I first put it on. But that's okay, I'd rather put more on then need to take it off. Throw: Light/Medium Scent category: Fresh Floral/Citrus/Watery/Green Summary Ethereal. Feminine and beautiful but in a icey way. In the same vein as Blue Moon, but different. Havisham is less floral and less strong then Blue Moon and of course there's no cucumber-y freshness in Havisham. There is a freshness in Havisham however, and it might even be a green but... it's softer, powdery. This goes right up there in my top ten with Snow White, Blue Moon, Bewitched, etc. Havisham needs to be in regular rotation for the love of God! Purchase again? Yes! A 10ml, 5ml, 20 imps in 20 swaps, whatever it takes. 1-5 rating, 5 being best. 5

    Chaste Moon 2005

In the bottle Butterscotch On Lovely light creamy butterscotch with a light floral. There's some note that is morphing now that is a little bitter and acidic to my nose. Coconut? Vetiver? *fights the bad Harvest Moon memory* It's almost melon-y but with a bitter, acrid edge maybe more similar to a vegetable (Celery?). If it is coconut, that could explain why it's turning. Me and coconut don't get along. I like eating coconut, but my skin doesn't like it. I will have words with my body chemistry. 30 minutes Although sweet and still kind of creamy as it was initially, the scent has lost the large part of it's butterscotch quality bit it is still there. It smells like sweet, smokey butterscotch- and coconut blend that turns a bit acrid like celery. Throw: little Note: It's strange, but the throw on this blend is still foody in a yummy buttery way even while up close it morphs into something else. Hmm. Scent category: Foody Summary This is a foody blend that introduces a kind of Spring-like vegatable-ness I think this is the coconut with maybe some other note. Purchase again? No 1-5 rating, 5 being best. 3

    Malkuth

In the bottle cinnamon blackberry On Well how lovely and unexpectedly subdued this is. Blackberry? Plum? Definitely alot of cinnamon. It smells like Malkuth. I mean, Malkuth is of the element of Earth. And that's exactly what you smell when you first sniff it. It’s the color of dark earthy purple, muted purple like a ripe plum and it smells that way too. The plum-y scent is combined with cinnamon. There may also be something herbal in here. Aside from the strong cinnamon the middle note is this dark muted rounded fruit note. It’ reminds me of “Hamadryad” but it’s less green and citrussy bright and more muted, quiet and earthy. The cinnamon is turning bitter and is strong as to make me not want to smell it anymore, but the wonderful bottom or middle note is pulling me back for more. 30 minutes It's basically the same, dark red/purple fruit with cinnamon and some vague middle note. This is one that gets better for me the more it dries. It's a good lasting scent too. Throw: Little Scent category: Spicy/Fruity Summary The Sepiroth scents, like the Tarot scents, are blends that I buy to "work with". Not necessarily to wear to work, etc. so I usually review these types of blends on that basis. So as a Kabbalah meditational blend Malkuth is outstanding. A fabulous representation of the energy of Malkuth for me. If this had a little less cinnamon however, I would buy a 30ml of this just to wear ALL the time. Purchase again? Yes. 1-5 rating, 5 being best 4
