Email. Well, I knew I'd f*ck it up, and I did.

Oh, you poor girl! When troubles come, it is not in spies, but in battalions. Which, as a kid, I thought meant "battle lions", which was a great visual. To save you time, trouble and harassment, I will offer the "condensed" versions of my 2 emails to you right here: 1) pre-order: Hi, my name is Delilah. Everything looks amazing, I don't know what to order, you are really cool. I generally wear a mix of eucalyptus, tea rose, fig and honeysuckle, what bpal might I like? 2) post-order: OMYGODYOURAWK. Thanks for making amazing oils. Thanks for sending extra samples. The extra samples you chose are perfect, better than the ones I chose myself. I am in love with Black Phoenix, Queen of Hearts, Lady MacBeth, Persephone. I can't wait to try Cheshire Cat and Snake Oil. Everything else, even my long-time favorites, smell like crap now. You are a genius. THANKYOU THANK YOU THANK YOU. That should save you the trouble of messing with email. For the record, my email is delilahpaints(at)yahoo(dot)com.

    Input, please!

Any comments you'd like to add about the Lab or life in general I've never smelled any sort of product that created such clear and evocative images. Combining my imagination and synaesthesia with Elizabeth's scents is like stepping into another world, so much more than just one sense working. These oils make me see things, smell things, hear birds sing somewhere in the distance. Black Phoenix, Queen of Hearts, Lady MacBeth, Persephone... each one is a dream with the power to asphyxiate me as I sniff myself all day.

    Siren

Oh, how I hate to admit it, but Siren is the first one that really didn't agree with me. Every ingredient mentioned is something I love, but in the vial and on my body, it's just not happy. Smells like the bottom of a shoe that walked in sour earth and squished a moldy apricot, makes me think of clay slurry and dying worms after a rain. I'm going to have to go scrub it off and put it up for swap. Funny how body chemistry works! I can tell it must be lovely on others, and I feel kinda guilty for not liking it. How is it that the oils I chose and ordered are okay, but the ones that Elizabeth sent as samples are really mindblowingly amazing? As Chris on the Family Guy shrieks, GET OUT OF MY HEAD!! I'm going to go scrape it off and find some Queen of Hearts... YUM.

    Lady MacBeth

Lady MacBeth smells like a deeply purple plum that grew so ripe and pendulous that it fell from the tree into deep green grass and slightly cracked a tiny bit, and a sliver of deep red fruit poked out and juice dripped out. And then some glittery insects showed up to lap at the drops, and then some blackbirds showed up and got drunk on the drops and started dancing on the telephone wires, and then a mockingbird showed up, drank too much and sang an entirely new song with little bits of Beethoven in it. That's what it smells like to me. I think it's absolutely wonderful and amazing and clever and genius and really enjoy wearing it and will be buying a bigger bottle, most definitely.

    Persephone

Persephone is the smell of eating the crispest, sweetest Fuji apple of the season while hanging upside down from a Magnolia tree in the late summer, and feeling the juice run down your cheeks into your hair, which is brushing the white-bloom-covered ground as your bare toes wiggle against blue sky. Very soft but deep, golden and yielding. I felt innocent and clean and rosy-cheeked today, and Persephone was the perfect accomplice.

    Black Phoenix

Ye gods. Apparently, my own personal chemistry is utterly in lust with this blend. Sniffing the vial didn't reveal much, especially when nestled amongst all the other sweet little imps' ears. But I put on a bit. And sniffed. And put on a bit more. And inhaled. And had a glass of merlot. And nearly asphyxiated. And put on a bit more. And put on something slinky and black, draped something reddish over the lamp, took down my hair, drew a little circle of Black Phoenix around my navel and melted myself across the bed, waiting with animal vigilance for my husband to come home. Um, he likes it, too. Oh, but the actual review? This is the scent of... standing on an overlook or by a rail over an old, tall forest full of poison-green ivy in late September and quietly rushing water, perhaps with a little waterfall, and the moon is nearly full but secretive and hanging in a sky the color of black pearls surrounded by adoring wisps of cloud. It's the scent of wearing a velvet corset, standing at that place of darkness and thrills and depth, and a beautiful man puts his hand on your waist and feels the corset there for the first time, and his eyes open just a little bit. You've had a coffee drink from a tall glass with whipped cream and the caffeine and coolness have you shivering just enough, you've just put on a bit of lip gloss, and a cloud moves over the moon as something calls plaintively from the dark woods, and he leans in to kiss you for the first time. That's what it smells like. I love it. That's a feeling i've always wanted to capture. Smelling Black Phoenix on my wrist makes me want to light a candle, open a window and write poetry with india ink and a quill. Elizabeth, you are honestly a genius. Just smelling this concoction is a gift. Thank you!

    Before I go...

Hope you have a wonderful vacation full of little mercies and moments of beauty. Is there beauty in Las Vegas? I wouldn't know, but here's to hoping! I will also join you in shaking the oily fist at the USPS. I'm about to move, and we wants our precioussss, and they won't gives it to us.... it must be their retribution against the world for making them wear those awful polyester uniforms. Yes, that must be it. Have fun, good luck, wear plenty of scarves and feel free for a while!

I need help with a database.

I love Microsoft works. It's so easy to manipulate! I don't currently own the program, but I know how to use it... I once kept up with over 500 auction donations and all their info on it... and Works made it really easy. If I had access to it, i'd offer in a heartbeat! Good luck, wish I could be more helpful!
  9. All I remember is that strange old poem about the mouse that lived surrounded by them... There once was a doormouse who lived in a bed Of delphiniums (blue) and geraniums (red) And all the day long he'd a wonderful view Of geraniums (red) and delphiniums (blue). But, if they're associated with the Cheshire Cat and the Dormouse, they are probably lovely.
