This is such a spot on dandelion-grass smell that it makes me think I’m mowing my lawn. It's fresh, green, cheerful, and sunny. I can see birch trees in the background, small rolling hills and an endless expanse of green lawn with cheery dandelion heads. Beth captured this so perfectly that I’m astounded. It’ll be a perfect scent for the winter months when its dark and snowy, and I could use a blast of summer, which this totally is. Love it!

Oh, I’m so glad that I tried this one again. This is simply beautiful and I’m in love with moonflower. This reminds me of Kindly Moon, which I love so much. They share that same velvety smell. But this is a deeper scent. Granted, this is a well aged bottle, as is my imp. I don’t remember being this head-over-heels about it when I tried it when it was fresh, so the age has done it good in my book. The moonflower here is fabulous and I’m getting a trace of the orris plus an almost sandalwood sensuality. This has the crystalline thing going on, and so it’s reminding me a bit of Bat-Woman, which has a similar crystalline feel. Ah yes, loving the night time flowers – who would have ever guessed? I’m tempted to find another bottle of this, just in case. This is a stunning floral.

I thought that Ra smelled a lot like Anthelion and White Light.

I ended up hunting down a bottle of Midnight Mass just so I could make this blend in the future. It's so delicious!

Magus - Bewitching Brews Notes: galangal, high john essence, frankincense, cedar, sandalwood Wow – I don’t know why I haven’t tried this one before. I love these woody scents and this one is no exception. It starts out as a wonderful cedar scent. It smells like there could be a touch of incense in the background. Its like Aureus and Midnight Mass mated and this is their child. This is a lovely scent and I like it quite a bit. The only problem is that it doesn’t last at all on my skin. I applied a good swipe about an hr ago and it’s totally gone. It reminds me of Aureus, Cathedral, Jupiter and Midnight Mass.

Himerus - Excolo Notes: juniper, sandalwood, rosewood, red musk, orchid, bergamot, and lilac When first applied, this smells of juniper and sandalwood. After its been on the skin for a minute or so, the juniper is gone and what's left is a woody-musky-flowery scent - sultry and quite sexy. It reminds me of Dark Delicacies - the orchid I think. It's well blended and hard to pick the notes apart. The juniper and woods combine to remind me of the patchouli accord in Mme. Moiarty and in Dark Delicacies. It's not quite as sultry as either blend but reminds me of both quite a bit. Same family if you will. What a lovely surprise - thanks GC swap for inspiring me to try my imp! It's a sultry, sexy floral and I like this quite a bit! I'm tempted to get a bottle.

Phantasm - Bewitching Brews In the imp and on the skin, this is a light, fresh, pretty scent. It screams innocence and youth. On me, this is mainly jasmine with the lightness of lemony tea. There's a touch of neroli adding to the mix but it's not overwhelming. This is a really beautiful combination of scents and this would be an amazing linen spray or to mist on clothing that's drying on the line, in the sun and breeze.

Hod is also a heavy carnation scent, but it doesn't have the sugar like Pink Moon 07 does. Queen Alice is another carnation scent and just yummy. Carnation, amber, treacle and cider. It's deeper and more sultry than PM, which seems pretty innocent IMO. If it's the carnation your craving those might work....

This is a strange combination of scents – rich foody caramel and moss. The moss-dirt scent brings to my mind King of Clubs. This is a dark scent and it has a texture to it, it seems velvety. This scent doesn’t change much on me and remains caramel and moss as it wears. I can’t really think of another scent like it with the combination of notes. I can’t really pick out the other notes. The darker notes and moss keep the caramel in check. Like its companion, this has a good wear life. It’s an unusual scent.

This one starts out as sweet rose. As it wears, it deepens and sweetens, and the vanilla and tonka start to peek through the rose. There’s a slight spice to the scent in the background, but it is very, very faint. It reminds me how I remember Beatrice, but sweeter and not as spicy. It has good staying power and ends as a sweet, smooth rose.

you know, I had to go check my backup bottle box because I really couldn't remember which one was out I should have known because it had no date and a paper label. anyway... it's the 2005 sugar skull and 2005 sugar cookie. it's so good! I'd love hear what others think and if it's even close.

Initially, this is a mix of apples, a touch of spice – it reminds me of how I remember Verdandi. As it dries, the sugar comes out and it’s a mix of sugared apples and spice. It smells delicious and edible. After it dries – it is a completely different scent. Such a fantastic carnation! It’s like carnation plus – more complex and deep than some of the other carnation scents (i.e. Pink Moon 07, Hod). The amber rounds it out and gives it a wonderful deep base and darker flavor, while the treacle adds a touch of burnt sugar sweetness. I like this one a lot!

Dana O'Shee is always a good one. I also like Midway, Hungry Ghost Moon and Banded Sea Snake. Midway and HGM are just such happy, relaxed scents, and Banded Sea Snake on me is a lighter, brighter Snake Oil that just seems good no matter what you do (but more on the casual side). If I'm lazing around the house I also dig into my imp bag to try different scents and catch up on reviews.

so I think I found a good dupe for Anaconda. I used a 5/8 dram vial and mixed together~ 1.5-6 ml Snake Oil, ~ 0.1 or 0.2 ml Sugar Skull, 3 drops Sugar Cookie. It smells fantastic. I just hope that I can recreate it using larger amounts!
