When I first put this on, I was in love love love love love! It smelled just like the honey lemon ginseng green tea I used to drink all the time in college. Sweet and full of honeyed lemon goodness.
Unfortunately, about 15 minutes later it's all dry spice, like trying to suck on a teabag.
Has anyone tried this in a scent locket? If I could keep the initial wet scent, I would wear this all the time. As is, however, it's just not working with my chemistry.

Nanny Ashtoreth is one of my all-time favorite BPAL scents. I usually can't wear any type of floral as it goes laundry detergent overwhelming flowers on me. But not with the Nanny. She is a cologne for a woman. There is sweetness and some softness, but the wood and leather are there to remind you that she is in charge and it would be a in your best interests to remember that at all times.
I've read a few people saying this is a scent for a dominatrix and I wholeheartedly agree. If you have a business meeting or need to do some unapologetic ball busting with a smile, give the Nanny a try.

I absolutely LOVE this scent! Foody smells are my favorites and usually work well with my chemistry. When I wear it, it's almost like a full October night celebration.
Wet it's fresh apples and spices.
Dry it's a fully cooked fresh batch of hot apple cider, sweet and spicy and delicious.
After a few hours it mellows down and a little smokiness starts to work its way into the cidery smell, like a fireplace fire that has just been put out.
I bought a bottle before the Halloweenies came down and my only regret is that I didn't buy two!

I passed up last year's Lick It because of the vanilla note (the smell and taste makes me nauseous), so I was very excited to see no vanilla note in this year's blend. In fact, I almost ordered a full bottle, but instead joined a decant circle just to be on the safe side.
In the imp I smelled pure minty sugary goodness.
Wet on my skin the minty sugary smell just intensified into total delight, with a good throw. I was thrilled!
Dry on my skin it turned into sugary vanilla. Unfortunately, vanilla makes me nauseous.
So if you like/love vanilla, sugar, and mint, this oil will make you incredibly happy! However, if you don't get along well with vanilla, skip this oil and try something else.

Thank you to everyone who gave me some insight on different scents! I ended up ordering the following:
Fae
The Hanging Gardens
Jester
Katharina
Succubus
Titania
Unfortunately, I experienced mostly soapy smells when I tried these on. But Jester, oh sweet glorious Jester, may have usurped Akuma as my favorite scent!
Thank you all again so much! I think I have started to figure out which notes will react in which ways on me, and I feel far more confident in ordering from the vast BPAL selection now!

Machu Picchu was 100% Irish Spring on me.

I have a body chemistry that causes many perfumes to either become cloying (ex: florals, especially rose) or turn into soap (almost always an Irish Spring type smell). However, I've found that I have very good luck with fruity and foody scents. Akuma was one of the first BPAL scents I tried, and I absolutely love it. El Dia de Reyes works wonderfully on me, too. I'm a big fan of peach and orange scents, so I was hoping that the kind people in the forums might be able to give me some insight into the fruity-ness of some other perfumes I'm interested in. Here is the list:
Cupid Complaining to Venus
Gennivre, L'Artiste du Diable
The Hanging Gardens
Katharina
Lolita
Succubus
Tanuki
Titania
Xanthe, the Weeping Clown (I'm a little worried about the pepper in this one)
I've come to the list above based on the following:
-Vanilla makes me nauseous when I smell or eat it (I can't even have vanilla icecream!)
-Hibiscus makes me sneeze uncontrollably
-Patchouli gives me headaches
-I'm iffy on musks.
Thanks in advance to everyone who's willing to help!
Perpetuum Bonum
in Prosperity, Success, and Good Fortune

I've used Perpetuum Bonum and have found it to, so far, have been rather successful. I have used it with a focus mostly on money.
I initially anointed a $20 bill in my wallet. About a week later, I found an extra $20 that I didn't realize I had.
Coincidence? Quite possible! However, directly following that incident I also anointed the inside of my wallet and focused on being open to financial prosperity and luck. Within a few weeks I received my Federal tax refund...which was $400 more than I had expected. It came with a letter explaining I had missed a tax deduction, they had fixed my tax form, and were giving me the extra money I was eligible to receive.
Directly following that experience, I had a bit of an issue with my orthodontist's office charging me a late fee, though they never sent me anything telling me what I owed or when I owed it. I put a little dab of the oil on one of the overdue notices and called the financial manger, who told me that they would revoke the late fee.
Edit to add: Just a few days after I posted this review I had a phone call from a friend of mine. He was letting me know that the martial arts academy he attends was having a huge discount to pull in new membership. $35 per month for unlimited classes for life. Previously, a single class 4 times a month was over $80 per month. Again, it could all be coincidence, but I can't help but wonder if PB had something to do with it!
