  1. Is Titania really that candish?

I'm not a fan of candy scents at all, and ordered in hoping for a fruity-fresh-summer vibe...

    Gona be disapointed?

For what it's worth, Titania isn't remotely candyish on me. I would say it's a very feminine, dewy, fruity floral, not too heavy and kind of perfect for summer. I'm wearing her a lot these days. :D

Thanks, cause I was starting to get sligtly worried)

  2. GC summer favorites:

Rosalind: a hint of berry (like Body Shop's old Dewberry scent) smothered in sun-warmed, recently mown grass.

The Zieba Tree: the orange and lemon blossoms give it a citrus-y feel, and the musks and everything else make it shimmer as though you're looking at things through the swirling heat coming off of pavement on a steamy day

Vixen: the patchouli, orange blossom and ginger combo smells almost sweaty and super sexy

Shanghai: on my skin, there don't seem to be any base notes in this one - it's all bright tea and lemon verbena

    Tweedledee: citrus candy. nuf said!

This makes me happy, since I've ordered an imp of this, and I'm really looking for summer scents) and wasn't sure about this one)

  3. I know this is someone elses thread, but I'm planing to order a Gaiman scent, and don't seem to decide myself...

I want something good for summer, maybe tangy and fresh, slightly sweet ...

I've been thinking about Lady Una or Tristan, Mr.Ibis sounds nice too...

    Can someone recomend me something...

    Thanks.

No problem hijacking someone's thread. :) One big Gaiman thread could be useful.

Do you have any notes you love or hate? There are a lot of scents that are good for summer.

I think Fairy Market would be a great choice! It's sugared incense, some flowers, and a little grass. So it's a little sweet, the flowers make it light and fresh, and the grass adds a little bit of tangy greenery. Perfect for hot weather.

I like Lady Una for summer, but it is very sweet, so sometimes it's a little too sticky in hot weather.

Tristan is fresh, cool, outdoorsy, so it's good for summer. But it is masculine (if you care).

Fairy Wine is also nice for a sweet scent. It's sweet but fruity and a little tangy, and I think it's refreshing.

I'm also really fond of Pepper in summer. It's rich flowers, honeyed vanilla, with a little pine and pepper. It's rich and a little sweet, with a little bit of tang.

Do you like floral, garden blends? Jasmine Cottage is very pretty for something with sweet flowers and greenery. It's light and fresh.

I haven't tried Mr. Ibis but it sounds summer appropriate. :)

Thanks, this makes me feel more confortable... I was afraid to hijack the thread, and be unpolite.

I like rose scents, sandalwood, berries, wine, honey, citruses, grass, moss, dust, cedarwood...

I hate, caramel, vanilla (sweet vanilla, anyhow), patchuli, vetiver, lavander, almond, sweet stuff, foodie scents rarely please me...

I think Tristan could be perfect for me, dispite the vanilla... and I like masculine scents... they make me stand straighter)

Jasmine cottage has jasmine, I'm not a big fan of it...

  5. I'm looking for berry scents for my next order, but not specially sweet berry scents (find them rather fake, sadly)... more like, sour berries...

    A nice, fresh, tangy scent...

I'm ordering Florence, Slippery poppy Tincture, Knave of Hearts, Bewitched and Glasgow.

    Are those good choices?

I mean, I have no doubts about some of those, Slippery Poppy Tincture and Glasgow, don't seem to be scents that will go sickly-sweet and un-realistic... but the rest?

  6. I love the scent of Dendelion and Clover... pink clover, white clover, clover honey...

Are there any scents that fit the scent of dandelion or clover, specially in the GC.

I know that the new Bards of Ireland has a scent with both of those notes, but I wonder if they are in any less rare scents...

Mixing with other things is ok too.

  7. Well, Fairy Wine sounds very nice, despite the fact I'm very scared of foody scents, since they're not really my cup of tea...

White Rabbit is already on my "to order" list...

Lady Una, has vanilla in it, the "evil" note that often makes me smell like marshmallow cupcakes... ugh!

As for Hanerot Halalu, I don't really like "smoke" scents... got freaked out by a few of those (not BPAL, tho)...

    Thanks for the recs)

  8. I've been looking for a not very foody, honey scent...

But I've been severly "burned" by Lush's Honey I Washed The Kids, and Villainess - Canaan.

It smells more of tofee than honey to me, both do... and even if I do like the soft tofee of Canaan, I would really like a smell that is indeed honeyed.

I really like the scent of white honey (clover honey), and wondered if it existed, even in some combination...

    Thanks...
