What do bottles and labels look like?

Yes--could anyone who has or has seen Beltaine or Hexannact report on what the labels look like?

    The Raven

The violet and sandalwood are indeed strong: very clean and fresh (reminds me of Aveda shampoo!) but not soapy. The neroli gives it a dark, slightly sharp edge, and the musk is...well...musk I picture a dark shadow of forboding sweeping over a sickroom on a foggy, wet English morning.

What do bottles and labels look like?

are my eyes going or are the SiA bottles amber? I wonder why the lab doesn't use amber bottles? They block out more light than cobalt bottles...

    Honey

EDIT: I made a discovery last night...I discovered that SN Honey is the perfect "Skin Scent." When I dabbed lightly and sniffed at my wrist from a few inches away, smelled the distinctive sweet, beeswaxy, slightly floral honey that's present in O and Jezebel...but when I pressed my nose to my skin, I smelled...soft, warm, slightly but naturally sweet skin (and like most people, I can't normally detect the smell of my own skin). It wasn't the heated, fire-warmed, sweating skin of O...but the sweet lovely skin of a lovely girl or a gentle, nurturing mother...lightly, naturally sweet and creamy, and comforting. I wouldn't really wear SN Honey as a regular perfume (even though it certainly can be used that way), but it would be an ideal scen to wear if one has an SO to nuzzle one's neck PS-- When layered with vanilla bean, sn honey loses its florals--YES!! YES!!!

    Satyr

Spice, musk, civet... I must give this one props for being insanely evocative of a satyr! And civet *does* smell like sex... it just makes me feel uncomfortable though it's THAT evocative...

    Obeah

I agree with Penance--orange peal, lemongrass (defintely!) and patchouli. But Karma smells a bit fruitier to me (at least, the karma soap I bought 2 years ago did). This is very sharp and...yes...I do think I smell cleaning fluid in here! Lemon-flavored cleaning fluid! An unpleasent bitter edge =( gahhh...

    Forbidden Fruit

Fruity bubblegum, initially. I must admit, I have no idea what lotus smells like--maybe this is it? Ahhh I'm starting to smell the soapy florals now! Stealth soap! This scent is too sharp and Hi-C-like =( very "bleh"

    Fallen

Sandalwood, musk, and some jasmine-y florals, all of which soften rather quickly to let the amber peek out. Oooo after a few minutes I can smell the vetiver! And the florals start calming down a bit. This is defintely purple scent, a regal scent. The vetiver definately adds a dark aspect to the scent...a brooding king, perhaps? Or, more likely, a brooding queen (because of the jasmine-y-ness)

    Ahathoor

Pepto Bismol!!! Something very slightly spicy and powdering and ambery in here too...this is nice, but I like Khephra MUCH better.

    Lex Talionis

Vetiver! Cederwood! Hint of unrecognizable flowers! Can't smell the grapefruit, but perhaps that's for the better. This is a dark woodsy/green/floral for me...I think the dark wood on a springtime evening, when the scent of the forest is about to envelope you...

    Bastet

Starts out pure cherry-almond (i think the cherry is the amber in disguised, like in O). Oooo but the drydown... ...musk and saffron! Damn, if this went straight to the warm, sensual drydown I'd want a whole bottle! But the cherry/amber kills it for me =(

    Carnal

WOW! I like this! It's a lovely gentle orange...not neroli-like, Hi-C, or insanely sweet...I think the fig mellows it It's....a mellow fruit! It's also pretty light on me, but...wow! There's a very slight tartness, but only very slight, and I do get a damp juiciness from it. Not what I expected from a scent named "carnel"

    The Lady of Shalott

Sharp, sharp (but not strong) ginger notes and sharp gardinia do NOT go together sadly. There's definately something aqatic or ozone in here--I recognize a note from Storm Moon or Tempest--but it's of the bold variety, not soft and sweet, unfortunately =( I just can't understand the ginger...it just prevents the scent for relaxing into gentle meditation.

    Lightning

To me, this is a damper Storm Moon...actually, more like an amalgam of Cold Moon and Storm Moon! The ozone is softened by the marine notes, which surprisingly don't smell *too* much like fabric softener. This smells like the tail end of a storm...love the damp, crisp air scent =) I really do smell the rain!

    "Warm" scents?

And Tamora! I don't like it's wet phase (like Georgia Peach SN? The first half of Tamora is PURE GA peach sn!!), but as it dries down...the peach mixes with warm creamy vanilla and a touch of amber warm and cozy... Then again, I consider all BPAL vanilla scents to be warm

    Sugar Cookie

In the bottle: Egg Nog with extra nutmeg! On skin: Fortunately, Sugar Cookie likes me more than Egg Nog did . Unfortunately, the fresh-baked cookie scent died a quick death. The scent it left behind was nutmeg, clove, sweet cinnamon and allspice--this actually smells very like the Yankee Candle Baking Spices candle! This is lovely...not sure if I'm braced for "what's baking?" comments, but...lovely

    Salomé

The red sandalwood, oakmoss, and almond *immediately* pop out here...it has the sensuality of Scheherazade with an almost sinister, "dirty" quality to it...the jasmine becomes noticable during drydown, and the sandalwood and oakmoss almost dissapear. This is something I'd wear if I felt a lot more sexy

    Seraglio

The neroli and orange peel stand out most strongly, with whiffs of spices wafting through. It's a nice scent, but not "me" at all.

    Lucy's Kiss

There seem to be two different BPAL rose notes: really lovely, fresh rose, and dryer-sheet rose. This is the latter Lucy's Kiss smells like chemically, generic rose with a touch of a fruity note...I can't smell any spices.

    Vinland

I smell berries and florals and yes! crisp, clean air and greenery! The florals aren't hating me though...maybe the wood is tempering them? =) This is a lovely crisp scent of a mountain in springtime =)

    "Warm" scents?

Tarot: The Sun! YES! And Scheherazade, if you like spice (saffron is a very warm spice) And Alice and Antique Lace are very cuddly too

    Hymn

Incense and florals....lovely... Wow, I never thought I'd feel so confident about saying florals and lovely in the same sentence =P I can't pick out the individual notes, but it's very clean smelling without smelling like soap. very pure!

    Silk Road

Spicy and cinnamony and green and herbal and a tad floral...at first it smells like spiced leaves, then mellows down...I think I can detect some incense in there...this is a very complex scent, in a similar way that Dia de los Muertos is =) this quickly becomes a "skin" scent...it makes you smell like you've spent a day at a bazaar, not doused yourself with spices...very subtle
