  1. Yet another vote for having a fee paid by the customer for mandatory insurance.  Hell, I've paid up to $25 extra for FedEx or UPS shipping, and didn't even really mind doing it, because it meant I got my stuff within two days of ordering it.

SO DITTO!!! Whenever I possibly can, I try and get 2nd Day UPS. Call me anal and impatient, but I love to track my stuff with a company that actually inputs data! OMG, the post office never updates anything. How do they stay in business???

    :P

  2. I insure all the packages that I can out of my pocket, as when I offered insurance in the past, no one wanted to pay for it, so I ended up having to repack and reship at my cost anyway.

That's not at all fair to you, though. I'd be more than happy to pay for insurance. It's only...what, about $1.30 for $50 coverage I think. You shouldn't have to absorb the cost of a postal screw-up. Whenever I sell on eBay, I offer insurance and if the buyer doesn't take it, then I don't replace it if it gets lost or damaged. Buyers have to take some responsibility too. That's just my opinion though.

  3. I wish I lived there or you lived here. I am so TOTALLY sick of being a Dupont lab rat, I would literally RUN to come and work for you!!

I did some color work on the side for a tattoo artist here in the Buffalo NY area, formulated all of his new line of inks and then he SKIPPED TOWN ON ME!!! By the gods, would I love to work for a nice, honest person doing something I love. And as for Dupont, it's gotten so damn big that we mean almost nothing to anyone here. My job is in R&D coming up with new colors and aesthetics for Corian (you know, the solid surface countertops) and last year I got my first patent. I had to pay for the plaque myself!!!! They wouldn't even buy me the stupid wooden plaque to display my patent!!

    Gees, sorry to rant. I'm a little...jaded. :P

I'm the one on the left, holding the knife.

Sin of choice: oh, definitely wrath. Yep, that's me.

    Virtue you embody: Honesty, honor

Astrological Info: Capricorn with Pisces ascendent (darklorelei, send me your birth info. I do astrological charts; I'd be happy to check it out for you!)

How you found out about BPAL: My friend Trish sent me the link. She said she thought of me immediately because I'm a chemist, LOL.

Any comments you'd like to add about the Lab or life in general: BPAL has brought me back into the world of scents. I never used to wear perfume (I hate anything alcohol based), just different oils from Azure Green. Now...the sky's the limit!!

  5. I would TOTALLY do this!!! I'm due for a vacation anyway and would love to go back to L.A. Plus, I'm an actual, card carrying chemist (I work for Dupont). Ooooh, can I work the distillation aparatus??

I'll be the one pacing back and forth in front of the shop with the sign that says "Will work for BPAL perfume."

    ROTFL!!!

    :P

  6. I'm curious about something. I purchased 5mL of Spellbound and Embalming Fluid from Eye Spy (one of the merchants listed) and they came in round bottles with tiny corks. The 5mL oils I got from BPAL came in blue screw top bottles. They seem to hold the same amount so I was wondering if BPAL used to use these little round bottles at one time.

Also, what kind of bottle does the 10mL come in?

Sorry for the silly question, but I'm a bottle nut. Those little round bottles are adorable!!

    Thanks...

    Lisa
