Preface to say that I love most BPALs...but dragon's blood is a note that just never seems to agree with my nose. I can't ever get past the cherry. Yet, I give every frimp a try with "never say never" in mind. This isn't bad too bad. The ylang ylang and dragon's blood resin are a bit soapy on my skin, but not offensively so. I do like cloud of exotic poppy. Will pass this along to a dragon's blood luvin' BPALer...

Watery white florals...very strong water lily at first. Once the sweet pea kicks up, it gets acutely artificial smelling. The lily and sweet pea marry together well enough and soften a bit, but the carnation remains elusive. Someone described it as bath salts...very appropriate! I like white florals, but this is far too sweet for me.

A light lovely jasmine...a touch of honey and lemon verbena. I anointed with just a drop inside each elbow and it is sensational and sensual. Intoxicating...

Wet~very calone-y, dank and masculine. Like leftover dishwater with a lemony undertone. As it dries, it gets very ozoney with a sharp seaweed floral and a limestone note. Powerful, intimidating aroma! A bit too sharp and masculine for my aquatic taste.

Must be more than just these notes...on application, there is a slight tingling with the orange blossom and rosemary. Can't quite but my nose on it, though--very much like witch hazel and a bit soapy. The rose just underneath the soapiness--a nondescript ordinary rose and the rosemary disappears. Still tingles a bit...*Shrugs* Not much else to say except that it was gone quickly. That might be a good thing.

Gentle, herbal and grassy wildness with a snowy woods note. I pick up the clover for some sweetness. Chilly and slightly camphorous. Very natural smelling. Lovely decant...

Light, green and full of fresh bright herbs. Lavender, chilly mint and verbena announce themselves in a quick burst of orange. The middle stanza is creamy savory thyme and bergamot, softening the herbal edges. The rhythm holding it all in perfect form is the gentle almond undertone, rounding out all the echoes of this beautiful summery wake-up blend.

Wet: Coconut, hazelnut---and soap??? Let's see how this goes in the dry stage... Dry: a waxy mustiness, a buttery iris and sun tan lotion. Now the iris just makes my nose twitch....off to the swaps!
-
Wet on the skin, cinnamon and lotus...slightly bubblegum-like, medicinal at first. As it begins to settle, it becomes honeyed and very calming. Given an hour, it has an almost apple cinnamon tea like background. Pleasant...not exactly something that I would wear, though.

Very unusual in the imp. Wet on skin, it went to a thick powdery scent with an oily background. Now I can't stop sneezing~off she goes!!
-
Holy changeling...starts off very strong and medicinal---very lysol-ish. After 20 minutes it becomes woodsy and sweet, with an aromatic pine undertone, a light creamy opium floral lurking about. Now I can't stop sniffing my wrist...definitely a witch's herb. Seductive! P.S. Finally it occurs to me what this reminds me of~Annick Goutal's Mandragore...

Wet on skin, it tingles~could be clove. Spicy and carnation-like as it dries with a dry frankincense note. Just a tiny hint of Egyptian musk. Very close to skin. Not much to it on me...

Cool, sweet raspberry leaf with cedary undertone. The light scent of vetiver and olive leaf warm it up a few notches. Dries down to a forest-like berry richness. I really didn't expect to like this one, but it has a nice ground to it~like Middle Earth.
-
Smoldering apple...in an almost myrrh-like background and ashes of incense. Not bad. I think I would wear this in the fall.
-
Lot of citruses here~wet sparkly yuzu, a berry and a dried fruit of some kind. As it dries, a floral fruited tea scent tapers some the crispness, the yuzu still shining through. The sweetness becomes peachy with a touch of persimmon fruit. No cherry blossoms here...but the yuzu lingers for hours. Somewhat louder than I like to wear. Will pass it along for someone else to enjoy.

Nondescript in the imp. Wet on skin: hello cedarwood, dry and dusty. As it dries, a bit of sweet smoky khus. Golden woods and grass. Very masculine and aromatic...
-
Fruity resin, a bit of sweet incense, cool and musty air...as if something nefarious is about to emerge. There is a quick short burst of sweetness that is somewhat like caramel, but it disappears quickly. A fallen flower left to decay in myrrh...yes there is something slithery going on, too. Getting a bit of vanilla flower toward the end of the drydown. Dark and beautiful skin-scent.
-
Mmmm...goat's milk and fig. Just almost too sweet on my skin. The fig is yummy and earthy. I think I would enjoy this like I would a glass of milk at bedtime. Decant or bottle...probably decant will suffice.
-
This is a gentle freshwater aquatic. It has a sharp opening, but softens quickly. A bit of a shimmery metallic zing in the drydown with a white musk...atmospheric~enjoyable...just pleasant enough to enjoy my decant.
-
This one smells far too cologney on my skin. I get a hint of silt, but the balsam and cedar are drowning the remaining notes. My nostrils tickle!
-
In the vial~citrusy mandarin and spicy star anise. Wet~Mmmmmmmm! Rich black vanilla, green violet leaf. Soothing stryrax over dry vetiver. Drydown~the vanilla enriches, stretching over the dark musk and aromatic woods. Purrrrrrrrrfectly dark, sweet and sleek. Sillage is relatively low and huffable.
-
In the vial~strong dank vetiver and a trickle of orange. On the skin~much more vetiver, a quick shot of licorice that disappears almost instantly. Dry~a huge red blotch where applied on the inside of my wrist that begins to itch. Dry vetiver and nothing else. Never had this reaction with vetiver previously. This one is washed off immediately.
-
In the vial~this is straight up pear, peach and grape. Wet on skin a soft note of sweet pea and moonflower shimmering over the pastel peach and pear. As it dries, the florals blend softly into a musk rose base. A gentle fruity floral...glistening in blush wine & moonlight. Delicate, sparkly and very feminine and youthful. This is beautifully blended. Alas, it is a bit too young for my taste!
-
This is very gentle wood smoke...the white rose spiced with a drizzle of bay rum, set to fire with frankincense and sweet myrrh. More akin to the ethereal wafts of ceremonial fire from a distance, the rose just adding some sweet to it. Very soothing airy incense with a hint of rose. Very evocative...magnificent!!

Soft, sweet honey opening with an herbal kick of parsley and chamomile. Green florals, carnation and a delicate waft of gardenia smoked with moss, vervain and copal. In the end the frankincense and honey sweeten the hot powdery copal. Sharp, sweet and biting.
