  1. This smells like straight up red musk when first put on. The same red musk I get in so many other scents that I love. Sweet, deep, red musk. It hit me unexpectedly, what makes this scent so special is its dry down. The red musk slowly burns away into a honey whipped cream scent. To me this is a much sweeter creamier honey then in other blends I've tried. Definitely need a bottle!

  2. Dude! This smells like Cap'n Crunch with Crunch Berries cereal! Don't let it scare you though, like it did me. The bready note in the forefront dissipates pretty quick, only peaking in and out on occasion, until eventually its gone. Then all I get is sweetie girl, baby pink, sugar crystals all the time! Somewhere, somehow, in he midst of all the sparkly pink sugar I can swear I detect baby droplets of Bordello. :wub2:

  3. I love me some Hag! Its not overpowering, but has enough obvious throw. Sniffing from the bottle I get a buttery rum-ness but once on the skin it disperses very quickly. Its not very sweet but sweet enough. Musky, with a delicate, almost unnoticeable herbal edge. I can barely tell this has vetiver in it, maybe a teeny drop hiding deep within. Overall all this is a dark, sweet translucent black musk to me. Love it! :wub2:

  4. If you're going to contact anyone about it, I'd call the post office, not the Lab. They are the ones who are controlling the show at this point, after all! It's possible someone scanned your package as delivered but then it missed the truck.

Now Im leaning towards it being delivered to the wrong house/ stolen. That sucks soo bad!! I guess Tiki Princess and i were not ment to be. I didnt have insurance on it so i guess its just a straight loss??

You mentioned that CnS tracking showed that it was delivered "yesterday." I assume that you mean Saturday, but have you received your mail today? I'm asking because this has happened to me before and sometimes they mean delivered to the station or distribution point, but not to the end recipient. I would give it a day before I contact the USPS because mine turned out fine and it ended up being delivered to me the next day. Just for the record, I knew that it was not delivered to me that day because I know my carrier and I had been home and sitting near my porch all day........stalking my mailbox.

hahaha sounds like something i would do. I wasnt home on sat because i was at a gaming convention. But my parents were there and they said no package. The mail did come today and all that was in it was the electric bill. =S :cry2: I cant help but thinking that my crazy neighboors across the street took it. I hope they enjoy the wonderful coconut gift I have bestowed upon them lol Im going to head to the post office today and see it maybe someone returned something.

I feel for you! I always get so nervous about getting packages especially when our mailman constantly gives us our neighbors mail! not just our next door neighbor but I've received stuff from neighbors a few streets down.

  5. Ok, this smells similar to Death Adder, for sure. Something in this brought to mind Death Cap as well. I think its the coconut tying them all together in the comparison. I do detect the vetiver in this, but its subtle and buried. I definitely get a "smoky" sensation must be from the combination of sandalwood, vetiver, and oude. The coconut and tonka really tone down the sharpness I was expecting from the vetiver and other notes. Its not a very "sweet" oil, and much stronger than Death Cap. Fuwa is billowing and ruddy and I likes it!

  6. Definite anise/licorice introduction. I don't think of licorice candy, more like the raw spice. After the initial blast of anise the other notes seam to appear softly out of no where and stay pretty steady. I get the soft, sweetness of the cherry blossom but the peony seems to give it a brighter tangier quality then usual. Underneath the blossoms I get a light, fuzzy, herbal feeling. Must be the violet leaf sweetened by lashings of sweet citrus neroli. Through out the anise dances on top like a swarm of little butterflies that begin to flutter away one by one. This scent has a sweet floral tang.

I've never considered myself an anise hater or lover, but I happen to really like this one. Its woodsy and bright and has a lovely salty sweetness to it. The cherry blossom is not at all like last years Voyeurs Among the Cherry Blossom and surely isn't like BBW cherry blossom scents. The anise is noticeable and forefront but melds quickly with everything else. I've tested all the shungas and this was one of my favorites. The anise makes this scent unique.

  7. what do you think would match best with Vanilla Noir?

official notes: black plum, dark berries, bergamot, gardenia, carnation, vanilla orchid, tuberose, vanilla, whipped toffee, cinnamon, cashmeran, sandalwood and musk

listed on the lotion: Madagascar vanilla, dark vanilla bean, black plum, bergamot and warm musk

This is a good one! I too would like to know, as this is probably my fave B&BW regular line. :) I just wish that they offered more products in it.

Maybe layering Lady Una with one of the more resin-and-vanilla scents? Or perhaps O or Snake Oil?

Hymn to Proserpine is vaguely similar to my nose, maybe a little "brighter" than Vanilla Noir. I'd say Hymn to Proserpine is in between smelling like BBW Twilight Woods and Vanilla Noir, with less musk.

  8. This scent really surprised me and its my top favorite of the Faire. I don't know if its because I've been so overwhelmed with the cold mints and holiday spices but it just appeals to me so much. It is a moist mossy scent reminds me of Julia Stone Alien Invasion. Mossy sweetness with a mildewy tang. Kinda reminds me of juniper berries but sweeter and softer. Its a very unique scent, I love it! :wub2:

  9. This one just smells awesome :wub2: and its funny because I wasn't too thrilled by the sound of it! Creamy sweet tropical florals and fruits, no pineapple in this. Not alot of coconut and it has a little peppery spice to it. Runner up favorite of the Faire scents, must get a bottle. :wub2:

  10. Eggy NOG! I put alot of this on and at first it smelled a lot like Velvet Clown?! Upon the dry down it gets much creamier and the spice comes out. Not much coffee liqour, but I think I can make it out. Its a sweet, creamy, cozy, holiday scent. Just wish it was a little stronger and lasted a bit longer.

  11. To compare this to snow white is too drastic for me. Although I love snow white, I don't get any snow white from this. Snow Flakes is strongly mint, but its distinguishing qualities from the others is green floral. Could be melon, could be cucumber, could be green tea... but Its very fresh and clean, girly mint.

  12. I think this one is the mintiest of them all! Along side snow flakes that one was very minty to me. Hypothermia reminds me of dead silence and cold hard ice. This eventually dissipates into an icy pale musk, not overly sweet or cologney. Love it!
